Beautiful Emerald Coast! Turquoise water & sugar white sand. We have stayed in our RV at that park many times starting back when it was “Camping on the Gulf”. I believe it’s “Camp Gulf” now. Enjoy your stay there! 👍😊❤️
Yes it’s fun but not deep. Agreed 52 have died because the sand caved in and they either died from compression and not being able to break among other things. Please be careful

We spent many a time in the area and fort Walton beach because we lived there and I miss it. Such fun times!, beautiful area and we loved the white sugar sand as it was called…god bless safe and travels.s..

Our family has been vacationing in Destin since about 1974. It rivals any beach that we've ever been to in the Caribbean or Greece. The only downside in the horrible traffic. In the 70's there was a two lane road and almost no highrises.
Y’all are close to me, Gulf Shores. The Florida panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi are known for being sugar beaches. And we’re on the gulf coast, not the ocean. I love it and think we have the most beautiful beaches. So glad y’all shared your visit with us. 🏖️

What a beautiful area! I had to look up Destin on a map. It seems like when people talk about visiting Florida, it's always the east coast or the west coast and almost never the panhandle. I guess they're all missing out! Happy travels to you all!
Y'all are down in my neck of the woods. Biloxi, Mississippi girl here. I have taken many trips to Destin. It's like a 3 hour drive from where I live. Gulf Shores Alabama, Destin, Pensacola Florida all are beautiful areas to visit.

We love the Gulf! We’re going to Cape San Blas this summer. It’s beautiful with the Gulf on one side and St Joseph’s Bay on the other.
