I just got the 2023 elantra in June and my dealer only had a $1000 mark up. (So funny to even say that like it’s a good thing- we used to never buy cars at MSRP LOL)

@@pineful4861 I like it a lot! It feels like a race car. The milage is incredible, the best I got was 57 MPG and it isn’t a hybrid. We bought the SEL. If they had a limited in stock, we would have purchased that one though! I had a 2019 Chevy Traverse previously which we loved loved loved but we drive 400-500 miles a week and the gas price was killing us. I don’t think the quality in materials in the Hyundai is as good as Chevy. It feels a lot cheaper but that’s the only complaint.

I love the new Elantra! I'm surprised you guys didn't mentioned 64 colors ambient lighting on the Limited trim. It's like a club at night! I take this over the boring appliance Corolla. Elantra gives me an edgier Lamborghini/ Audi A4 vibes with the styling. I can't remember any Corolla models make someone turns heads. Or any Corolla models have the technology features and amenities as the new Elantra. I'm looking to purchase a 2022 Hyundai Limited Hybrid. The Limited Hybrid models includes memory seating settings, heated and ventilated seats, LED brake light, and 6spd Auto Transmission on hybrid models instead a CVT. Features you can't get on a hybrid Corolla.

Will someone please tell me why Hyundai & most other new cars, have eliminated actual front & rear
bumpers? These new, unnecessarily elaborate & completely plastic front grilles would be destroyed
in even a mild 3-5 mph crash! Even if it isn't as stylish, please go back to actual bumpers that can
'take a hit', like the 'old days'!

I’m so skeptical between this car and the mazda 3. I just test drove and I love the Mazda interior soooooo much in person, it gave me luxury experience sitting in there and also how reliable they are. The exterior is okay for both of them. As for Hyundai, the interior, it looks always good in the video but I feel like the materials look really cheap and plastic in person… it’s a huge turn off. As for the features I prefer the Hyundai’s for the rear parking sensors and the highway assist… 😭🤯 Anyone got any opinions? I’m going crazy.

It's all depends on your preference. If you prefer space and technology. Elantra is basically a compact car with mid-sized car length and size. And technology is more advanced than the Mazda3. My only gripe with Mazda is no touchscreen. Everything is controlled by a dial. Which I hate.

Hi! I had the same exact predicament.
I would say take your decision based on what you perceive as your priority. If you want a car with a sportier ride, go with the Mazda. I test drove it and it was an absolute joy to drive.
If you want tech features and especially if gas mileage is a priority, go for the Elantra. I picked the Elantra because for the same price, I got better tech features and mileage compared to the Mazda 3.

about 10 years before I started having electrical problems with them & either 'junked' or sold them!

cheaper than their competitors, i.e. Toyota, Nissan, Honda, but if you are looking for longevity, stick with them!

And, my vehicle is a gas guzzler.. So, I do a ton of research to find a vehicle that gets better mileage than 15.2 average of my Mercury Mountaineer.. Found the Elantra and did the online cost thing with taxes and dmv fees. It was going to cost 25,803 bucks. That, I can afford, cash. But after spending 12 dollars in gas to go to the dealership, that 25,803 magically turned into 28,844, and couldn't go any lower.... They lied there and they also lied by telling me of all the options of Elantra's that were in stock. They had none. Said they would order one but I would have to pay for it first.

You can rent the N line at Enterprise. I did it at the airport for same price as any Corolla or Forte. It'a typical turbo you got to spin up the rpm after that it's so fast you want to race it often. Most people will be fine with a regular Elantra. You really can't race out there.

Sentra is a much better-looking car, but after researching that one, there are way too many owner complaints about the CVT failing very early and electronics problems. No thanks. So, I'm checking out the Elantra. I'm having a really hard time liking this exterior design. It's just...ugly. Too much grill on the "face". Weirdly shaped headlights. Awkward-looking creases in the side. Cheap-looking huge matte black plastic panel on the C-pillar. The interior is very nicely done, on the other hand. Very upscale. It looks like luxury brand territory, especially in this Limited trim level. If it drives at least as nicely as my 2018 Elantra did, it's going to be very pleasant to drive. My main complaint about drivability on that car was the clunky, confused 6-speed auto. At least they fixed that with a smooth CVT on this new Elantra. Let's just see how reliability holds up.
