Don't allow other people's opinion get to you,I was also struggling with self confidence last year,and it was kinda wierd because I ain't the type with low self confidence,but my best friend made a comment about my body last year she body shamed me,which I didn't find funny, since then I didn't like my shape. But my mum told me something be proud of who you are,and never allow someone to belittle you. So I'm telling you right now you're beautiful just the way you are
I feel you. I've not been in the best headspace for a while so I lost weight. And everyone points that out. Someone just did some minutes ago. It hurts because I also don't like the way I look honestly but I decided not to care and since I don't like it why not change my eating habits for MYSELF? Omw to make noodles, eggs and plantain. 🤗

Been a subscriber for a long time and today i had to comment i can relate with everything here, its not a Nigerian thing but an African thing when they ask you why you gained weight or why are you skinny 🥲recently had to take an STD test because apparently am getting too skinny, i had to take it to prove am not sick and i know am not but i was starting to believe something is wrong. I just dont have a huge appetite anymore.

In a world where “self love” is seen more as a trend or harsh tag… it takes a lot to genuinely know and love oneself. You can get carried away by the idea of self love and never actually get to experience it. Plus you really can’t love who you don’t know. And there’s a very huge difference between who you think you are and who you actually are…

In Sierra Leone it's kinda common among friends,they will body shamed you and act like it's a joke. I had to learn the hard way. Thank God I was able to gain back my self confidence and finally realize that it's wrong to comment about someone body type.
