Hi, i guess you didn't understand the 'no compromise' part? Swapping is 'No Bueno' and will downperform your Mac. SO!, if you want no performing issues running your DAW and other Apps at the same time you better stack up on those RAM's.
The TBW of the SSD is 150TB. And it usually lasts longer than that. Also use 3rd party apps to extend life. Let's assume the SSD dies after 5 years, then replace it at Apple will be more economical than buying a 128 gb RAM. That's what I would do. Each to it's own. I would rather spend more on CPU and GPU cores.
@@PrashantMachhar Actually, I hadn't thought about it from that perspective, still you will have to be really careful taking frequent and regular data backups since you will not have a warning before that ssd dies out.
It doesn't make sense. Sorry. There's no way that today's computer, even the best one, will survive until 2050. In a few years it will lose compatibility. There's no point in spending money on such a large RAM for music production just because someone won't close other programs. The only exception may be a huge number of VSTi.
Hi, When you produce music 100% in the box you want your system to work efficiently without having to convert to "tricks". For an average project using standard Waves, isotope and fabfilter plugins Logic Pro already uses over 40gigs of Ram. So, yes you can work with 16gigs, but is it preferably? So for a smooth experience with no compromis and reling on tricks like swapping memory i recommend 64gigs of Ram.
I’m still running my 2007 iMac 27”.
Haha witness the power of apple.
You well dont need that much ram, i use the m2 pro with 32gb of ram my projects are 3x the size of yours and i get virtually no spikes
Hi,
That sounds interesting. What kind of plugins?

Misleading... You can also run this on 16 gb. Every heard of Mac's Swap File?

If you rely on swap memory continously, your ssd will be worn out faster than usual.
Yes, and you don't want that when you pay so much for a modern computer
