      @@theoracle141 no it's not 😂 Tempering chocolate means heating and cooling chocolate to stabilize it for making candies and confections-gives chocolate a smooth and glossy finish, keeps it from easily melting on your fingers, and allows it to set up nicely for dipped and chocolate-covered stuff

      I grew up in the Midwest and we always called them Jimmie’s! got a weird look the first time I asked for jimmies in my ice cream after I moved to Seattle lol

    Don’t you risk the strawberry sweating if you refrigerate it before dipping it… I was always taught to use room temp strawberries 🍓

    If you put longer sticks like kabob sticks you can put them in a upside down strainer to cool the chocolate and helps them harden evenly and look more professional rather than having a flat side 😉 thats what I do and it works well!!!

    I agree with how she let the chocolate dry in ROOM TEMPERATURE because I hate cold chocolate covered strawberries. They make your teeth feel like they are gonna freeze off

      Couldn't you just remove them before dipping? I've never made chocolate covered strawberries before so idk if you need the leaves to be there but to me they seem pointless lol

    Don’t refrigerate. It just makes a huge difference in temperature and the berries sweat

    Taking the strawberries out of the frig to dip, wouldn’t you need to dry them off again before dipping due to condensation? And if they have condensation on them won’t the chocolate seize?

    I wash them, dry them and dip them in ghirardelli chocolate melts and I'm done in 3 minutes. No hate, just never had a problem doing it the simple way.

    Isn't the cold air in fridge wet? And even if it isn't, water vapours will condense on them as soon as you get them out

      Melting wafers work the best for a quick set, white come in milk chocolate.

      For quick dry chocolate, I like to use Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers, or they have other flavors. You can get them at most grocery stores.

      @Tea_Coffee☕🍵 you’re not supposed to. People do it differently, and some people just eat around the leaves. I personally remove them but leave the stem, and eat around the stem.

    I suggest injecting them with triple sec.....I make them for parties.....I also made them for my sister's bridal shower 30 years ago.....they are fun to make and yummy to eat and a lovely presentation!

    120 degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit? That could be very different, 120 Fahrenheit is like 48 Celsius, but 120 Celsius is like 248 Fahrenheit.

    Don’t put them in the fridge first, they will get condensation as the cool to room temp once you pull them out of the fridge

      if you don't go over 30 minutes, it should be just enough time to evaporate the surface without fully chilling the entire berry enough for condensation. Otherwise, the condensation could seize the chocolate and that would suck!

    Yeahhhhhh..this will only work..if you live in a cold and dry place. Otherwise the condensation will make the dry strawberries wet again..and i can't imagine chocolate being hard in room temperature
