Why You Should Drink Carbonated Water

  • Why You Should Drink Carbonated Water #shorts
Dr. Janine explains why you should drink carbonated water. She looks at how carbonated water helps with digestion; makes you feel fuller and more satisfied helping with weight loss. She talks about how it is a great substitute for soda and has no sugar. Carbonated water is just as hydrating as flat water, and while it is slightly acidic it is not usually enough to cause a problem. Dr. Janine does recommend watching the fluoride and deuterium content of the carbonated water and ideally looking for water from higher mountain origins rather than coastal regions is best.

From all the comments about carbonated water I should be dead by now 😂I’ve been drinking unsweetened carbonated water for about 10 years since I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I use to live move Pepsi and Coca-cola but had to quit for my health. Now I just drink plain carbonated water with a splash of unsweetened cranberry juice and a 1/8tsp of stevia.

The problem with sparkling water is that it's the same price as soda or even more in some cases. If it was as cheap as water would be worth it but it isn't. So it makes you think why shouldn't I just buy regular soda and just dilute it? You get more out of it and still get the other stuff like sugar and caffeine.

The carbon dioxide in carbonated water is a bladder irritant. If you find yourself running to the bathroom more often after drinking it, that could be why. I agree that it can help you get off a soda addiction, but it's better if you only use it temporarily, or once in awhile, for all of the many reasons listed here in the comments.

Everyone needs to make sure they know where their information is coming from, especially medical information. This lady is a naturopath, which is not medicine. She attended a “medical school” that has a 78% acceptance rate. The ND field is based in folk medicine, not fact. MDs refer to the ND field as “quackery.” Be careful.

Naturopathy are way bettter than drug pushers in white coats who know everything about disease and medicine, but next to nothing about nutrition and health

MDs are "educated" by a for-profit system designed to make sure that customers, oops, I mean patients, don't truly heal. They treat symptoms, not diseases. Call natural medicine "quackery" all you want, but I'd rather be naturally healthy than dependent on man-made chemical drugs with 800 side effects.

The "make sure it does not contain fluoride" is a red flag in itself. Some things from Naturopathy are likely fine or even good, but plenty of it is just quackery.

I enjoy sparkling water more than soda, specifically Kirkland Costco brand. Just be careful with their PFAS amounts. Which do you recommend @doctorjanine?

Carbonated water is THE way of drinking water in Germany. And millions of Germans are absolutely fine with it. As tap water in Germany is also of a very, very high quality, it is common to carbonate your own tap water at home.
In particular on a hot summer’s day, I love a big glass of sparkling water, not chilled, just like out of the pantry at room temperature. Irbid so satisfying to quench the thirst.
Additionally, you can buy health water from natural springs, bottled up, which has a certain mixture of minerals, depending on the spring. They tend to have a much more intensive taste of minerals, and there you check more of how much you ought to drink of.
So no, urologists do not recommend to not drink carbonated mineral water.
In the US you should focus more on the massive added crap big food companies put in their products. They would never get away with that in the EU. Americans literally stuff their faces with poison. But sparkling mineral water is bad? Come on!

But it is not natural.. I loved carbonated water as a kid, but now I only drink normal water. It’s not giving me a weird feeling in my stomach D:
