I've been drinking distilled water by my own distiller since 1985. So many people have said that I will get ill from it because it has no minerals. My skin looks very clear and when I see what I take out of my boiling tank after distilling water, I am shocked that all that sediment would have gone into my joints and arteries. Thank you so much for doing this video.

Since water is so reactive on it's own, it's a great idea to begin drinking distilled water as a sort of cleanse. Some people try 30 days of pure h20 and others go for years. If you're noticing any negative effects after a while like headaches or hair loss, it might mean that you've cleansed all of the bad sediments from your system and you might have started removing important minerals, due to the nature of water leaching minerals. At that point you can start adding trace minerals such as ionized magnesium.

I've been drinking the distill water for about five years. I enjoy mixing lemon or limes with my distilled water, because then it mixes with metals in your body and creates an electric current of healing and intelligent. That's how a battery is made, distilled water, because it's a conductor of electricity. Then you need citric acid and take some magnesium or zinc. You have a battery. Plus I am more spiritual.

Thanks for the video. Literally everything you said is so true. I got a reverse osmosis mini system in my truck. As a trucker I'm only limited drinking bottled water. And doing it for 3-4 years continuesly made me sick like a zombie, vision got worst, than everytime started sweating I got rashes on my hand, muscles started to hurt, bones, always sleepy, depressed, overweight, signs of cancer. Changed my diet, added some vitamins, but still never felt like I used to be. Than I remembered how terrible was the water when I first started truck driving (because I got so used to terrible water, I didn't notice it anymore). So I decided to to reverse osmosis my drinking water regardless it's a 1 gallon water, or a bottle water or any water I passed it through reverse osmosis. Had to reprocess the rejected water twice, because reverse osmosis only cleans 40% of water and rejects the rest. After using it the first day the next day I woke up and felt my mind was so clear. Than after 3 days use my eyes started seeing better, more focused. Than my skin rashes began to disappear. After 10 days my ballocks got bigger. The food I'm eating is well processed. Looks like my body is detoxifying from heavy metals and other chemicals that is causing my mind to become cloudy. Dirty wayer effects my hormones, eyes, skin, my voice, causes weight gain. I think drinking distilled or reverse osmosis water it's like adding a distilled cup of water in a bucket of dirty water, and than after mixing the clean water with a dirty bucket water and removing a cup of water from the bucket you end up with much cleaner water in the bucket than it was before. So kidneys don't have to overwork removing toxins from the drinking water, instead it focuses removing the rest of the toxins inside the body.

@@sweetbeep There's a variety of different water test kits which can examine samples of water to let you know which ones have problems. If you can't afford a water test kit then the tests you can perform at home: #1 Assess Color, Taste, and Odor Test.
#2 Use a Water Hardness Test.
#3 Use a Magnifying Glass or microscope to search for clouds, foam or floating particles.
#4 Boil Your Water for a Dissolved Solids Test

this is all very good advice. been drinking distilled water myself for over a decade. RO filtered prior to that. i've fasted multiple times with nothing but distilled water and the only issue you may notice is muscle cramping after a while due to electrolyte depletion. a small sprinkle of calcium, potassium, magnesium, and sodium in the water takes care of that.

As a plumber, the biggest issue I have found with using filters is people DO NOT replace them, nearly early enough, given the cost-in my country, at least-or just plain laziness?? Once I explain that once a filter has reached saturation point, of it's ability to filter out the nasties, then those impurities are leached back into the water stream, at a far higher rate {exponentially so}. So, you would be better off, drinking tap water. That's why I buy it. Maybe not ideal (the product I use states it has no BPAs, etc. in their container; but still??), but better than the alternative.
I have made it myself, in the distant past, but it is a real hassle, & given energy costs (amongst other things), not viable.

I use distilled water and do my own. Just a few tips...
    1. Don't let the distiller shut off by itself, I had two that the bottom of the distillers cracked, use a timer and shut it off when there is about 1/8-1/4" water in the distiller. When your gallon jug is about full shut it off.
    2. Put a tablespoon of Citric Acid in the distiller with the water you are distilling, it will keep the gunk in the distiller from sticking to the pot and keep it clean. The Citric Acid will not hurt you, it is used in cooking and in candies. I use it to clean my coffee pot too.
    3. I replace just the charcoal in the filter, I don't replace the filter itself, a box of charcoal is cheaper.

back in the day when i was a competitive bodybuilder, about eight weeks out from a contest i would only drink distilled water. i was so in tune with my body i could absolutely tell my body preferred distilled water over any other kind of water. there seems to be some sort of distilled water shortage in my area these days, so i have been making my own at home. i pop the vent cap off of an instant pot, then run a copper tube (flexible copper pipe) from the vent into a 5 gallon bucket of water (does not need to be cold water). the other end of the copper tube comes out of the bucket of water and hangs over a glass receptacle like a mason's jar or glass mug (don't use plastic because the water can be hot sometimes). i put tap water in the instant pot and pressure cook it. the tap water turns to steam, which runs though the copper pipe, is cooled in the bucket of water and converted from steam into pure distilled water that drips out the end of the copper tube into the glass receptacle. it's a slow process. makes about 2 cups in 40 minutes, but last week in my spare time i made 4 gallons of distilled water just using a small instant pot. i no longer use that instant pot for cooking food, because i could taste the food in my distilled water. but after several cycles of just making distilled water the food taste is gone.

I went to nursing school from '75-'78. We were taught we can't drink distilled water because of the leaching of minerals. I was trying to eliminate fluoride from body. Refrigerator filters and other filters don't do it. Berkey has some but they are not fun to prime. So, I went to distilling my own. Been drinking it for 9 years. Since mid 1990’s my tap water flows through three different types of water filters and that filtered output gets distilled. Thus, for nearly 30 years I’ve distilled all of the drinking and cooking water consumed by myself and family. Cleaning and setting up the distiller takes about five minutes, usually twice per day. When we leave the house we carry one or two liters of water in glass water bottles. KEY POINT: After distilling a one gallon batch of the triple-filtered tap water, the residue inside the distiller is ghastly. The residue is a paste, I believe it is dissolved limestone, toxins and fluoride. I never get comfortable seeing it, it’s always shocking. I feel sorry for my neighbors who are naively drinking and cooking with the the tap water. The tap water in my city comes from 17 wells, they rotate drawing from the 17 wells.

I just feel like the more we research about nutrition, the more we realise that the way our society functions is actually very bad for us as humans, in the long run, all of this causes a lot of damage to your body both mentally and physically.
For example, it is extremely hard to get clean, organic food in today's world, and even if you can, it usually costs a lot. A bar of chocolate full of preservatives and fat trans costs 1 dollar, a pack of broccoli sprouts full of phytonutrients costs 10x that. Not to mention the air we breathe, the water we drink, as we have no control over many aspects, we have no idea what is in there.
Life before industrialisation must have been much healthier, especially if you live in the countryside, away from the cities.

My biggest problem with drinking distilled or RO water is that we don't really know what the ideal electrolyte composition is to put back into the water. We can make educated guesses, but the science just isn't particularly clear or conclusive on it. There are even certain minerals in very small amounts contained in natural water that we just aren't sure what they're for or whether or not they're necessary for our health and to what degree, such as chromium. That's why I'll always consider clean spring or glacier water to be the best type of water to drink. We (nor any other mammal) evolved drinking primarily distilled water; it's unnatural. It's just not what our bodies are designed for. I can see some logic in doing it for a short while so as to flush some of the bad stuff out of your system, but over the long-term I have my doubts about whether you'd be doing your health any favours.

If your drinking RO water that’s good and great both. As a 20 year High Purity Water Specialist who has operated every water technology as of current I approve. Both Distilled and RO Water are very low conductivity water stripped of minerals and far more. Distilled water is very very flat in taste. Water has no real taste, but you can taste the flatness in distilled water. It is sterile indeed. You can add some minerals to it if your making it at home up to you. Home RO units are basically miniaturized Industrialized RO Units without a lot of the other components to simplify it for home users and it’s just a single pass, single stage unit. So while the water conductivity is low which mean low mineral content, it’s not zero. It’s somewhere between 5 - 30 us/cm, which is low and determined much by quality design of the unit. By its nature an RO membrane removes both Bacteria and Viruses as the membrane is that tight though it’s permeable to the element of water and some mono charge elements. Where bacteria can come from is improper care, maintenance and cleaning of the unit. Improper frequency change of the membrane and filters as a unit can result in some bacteria, but it’s nothing that will harm you. At best whenever you service clean the RO unit, you can sanitize with hydrogen peroxide or some bleach, but you do that then flushing the unit with the membrane removed. RO Membranes do not like chlorine and has low tolerance for it. But peroxide works well to sanitize. In a typical home RO unit, you remove that membrane to change it about every 2 years at least. Regardless you get pure water with both Distilled and RO. My preferred method is having an RO unit and that’s what I have at home.

However, I"d rather drink disinfected water than live in a place where there is no water treatment available. The population does not get dysentary or giardia where I live. Since my job requires 40 hours a week to provide clean drinkable water to millions of people in northern california, I do not have time to start a distillary. Maybe if I was independebtly wealthy and retired, I could purchase a stainless steel distillary. Since the recommendation is to NOT purchase distilled water in a plastic container, I guess I will not quit my job working at the water treatment plant to provide clean drinking water to millions of people. Regarding microplastics, I recall reading that its not a problem as the distilled water would 'suck" them out, I gather leech them out of your system like inorganic minerals. I dont know how true this is and would welcome any source that would confirm this.

older clients have gotten into a lot of trouble trying to drink distilled water .. as it a very unnatural state (of water), it is highly reactive.
water doesn’t want to be ‘ pure ‘.
it wants to interact with everything else in the environment ... so yes, having the electrolytes would be key.
others have mentioned the minerals and scale left over from the boiling process .. which can definitely build up into intriguingly odd formations + need to be cleaned out.
micro + nano plastics def are a thing.
try it out, but definitely log your results in the beginning to see how you feel.

I have a 7 stage reverse osmosis plus regular filtration filter system including fluoride filter. It doesn't taste good and lacks minerals (which are essential to health). You can get your minerals from healthy food sources or natural springs or you can add some himalayan salts. It's amazing in this day and age we are so advanced and can't drink our water, I sometimes yearn to go off grid, remote and live off the grid like our ancestors or minority of today's population. I grew up in cities, I now spend the least of my time in them. They denature us.
I feel alone in a city full of people and activity, and never feel alone in nature, it's hard to explain.but Wordsworth may have described it best in his poem Tintern Abbey "and I have felt a presence that disturbs me with joy of elevated thoughts, the sense sublime of something far more deeply interfused "

I find drinking pure distilled water without added minerals yucky. Most of the drinkers here seem to actually like it.
