The feel of expansive adventure in the score is like John Williams's Star Wars and, surprisingly, the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme. The boldness and derring-do conveyed in strings and brass, curiosity in the high woodwinds and chimes.

Am sure your July 16th release date was NOT coincidental at all with the anniversary of Apollo 11's original launch date, right? 😉 Thank you for bringing to the fore everything I had felt as I watched the original launch 52 years ago. I was 14 yrs old and full of wonder and pride...but most of all...hope! It had only been 8 short yrs earlier that I had painstakingly printed a congratulation note beneath my crayon-crafted picture of John Glenn's capsule orbiting a blue and green rendition of Earth, to add to the packet our first grade class was going to send to him. The possibilities seemed endless at the time. Thank you again for reminding me of those days when youthful optimism and excitement ruled my days. Bravo!

First listen, and I know this might upset some people: I think I prefer the instrumental to the original. The music just comes through better, especially those familiar punchy strings

Look at all the bulky, kludgy equipment they had to work with back then. The USA went to the moon before it should have been possible. My HP calculator is a better computer than the flight computer of the Apollo 11.
