A nice little starter kit. But anyone looking to grow for profit should really start with a larger rack for more flexibility with shelf height and lighting adjustments. There’s just a lot more points to attach your equipment to. Usually can be found for around $75 so it doesn’t break the bank too bad. Also, you can possibly get 3-4 harvests in a month (depends on variety) and each tray’s profit would be no more than $15 (and that’s with really good bulk soil and seed pricing). And you’d need a full second set of trays with another round germinating while the first crop is under the lights. So that’s an absolute maximum profit of $180/month. Not trying to be a downer, but want beginning micro growers to have realistic expectations. Glad to see you starting though and can’t wait to see your first harvest. 👍🌱
I no I truly understand where you coming from and I appreciate and thankful for every bit of information there is to know about microgreens. I need to just make sure I don't go too far ahead on the money part lol but thanks again
@@CityBoyFarmingAndrewSeegars I get it man. Gotta find the balance between going broke with a new project and giving it an honest shot. I just shut down my commercial micro business after a pretty successful year of selling at local markets and restaurants.
@@CityBoyFarmingAndrewSeegars just started it at the wrong time. We are trying to finish our DIY home build and I need to keep my priorities straight. I’m blessed to have an awesome wife with a great job and we don’t depend on my income. We recently did a video about the decision on our channel.
@@LittleMountainLife that’s very understandable. What I learned as well is when you are doing something you love you have to make some sacrifices to get where you want to go and I believe something even better is in the making.
Yes, try it and I also looked into sunflower microgreens and I feel like those will be a little easier when it come to getting seeds also people really like them.

@@LittleMountainLife if you don’t mind me asking why shut down the business if it was successful?
