Welcome to my channel, my name is Andrew Seegars and I garden in zone 6b. I garden right in my backyard in Detroit, MI. On my channel I want to share my gardening tips for people who are gardening in small spaces or in the city like me rather it's in pots, ground, or both.
I love doing reviews and unboxing videos on gardening products to help people figure out what product is helpful to have. So if you have any suggestion just comment on one of my videos and I'm sure I'll be down with doing a video on that product.
I upload every Wednesday afternoon.
Thanks for your support and welcome to cityboyfarming
Thanks, enjoy!

@@reneeharsatanaya8380 not to my knowledge sorry I wasn’t much help there
Did your toes not cramp? Love your videos
My larva aren’t crawling up and out. I have my box at an angle with a hole at the end hoping the will crawl up and fall out. But they just stay in the soil.
@@enfinite05 I had that problem and then I realized my compost was too low from the hole so I had to fill it up for them to actually use the hole
@@CityBoyFarmingAndrewSeegars Thanks, I will try that.
That's leachate not compost tea in the bottom bucket
Great system! I use single buckets with holes on all sides as inground garden worm farms. Worms can travel into the garden, but come back to feed in the buckets. ~ Sandra
@@NanasWorms that’s actually something I was thinking about doing. I was going to dig a hole to place the bucket in
I put a few holes in the lid so rain/irrigation can flow through as well. My playlist is called garden worm towers, if you're interested. Good luck! ~ Sandra
@@NanasWormsthank you so much for this
Wow Lovely Plants ~ Thank you for good sharing 😊 LIKE 3 My friend, have a good relationship 😊
Awesome..i saw my first monarchs last summer!
You copied that other video word for word lol
@@markconover5366 lol the video that everyone copy from I guess sure
@@CityBoyFarmingAndrewSeegars so if everyone jumped off a building would you jump off ... Just a little tip you can add some more information or knowledge to make it a little different and make it yours
My pod is just filled with gnats is this normal
@@jaypa5 you might have to did some larvae might be in there or they went in the cocoon stage
Should I clean it out and start over or it will be okay as is?
@@jaypa5 I’ll say just add to it
That's awesome. I didn't know you could grow waterbottles from seeds
lol yes and birdhouses
Watch @savingthecabin. Candace made a much simpler great one that gets her loads of them fast to feed to her chickens. (She's redoing an old 1700s? Cabin to original in georgia)
Nice
Seen people also do as simple as putting a piece of meat on a plate above chicken house or honey hole and soon as they start crawling up they fal in water or chicken house
Show this year
Nice
Canna
Beautiful greenhouse. Jealous
Thank you so much
I normally use plastic and wrap w aluminum foil. But bought couple of those black things few yrs ago. Work well.
“living coordinates” is the CIA version of “home address” 😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing this good stuff. It helps always to have some new know how. God bless.
Thank you so much and thank you for watching
Awesome!
Thank you 😊
Great harvest. I agree that it’s better to grow in containers. Thanks for sharing.
Best thing ever and thank you for watching!
That’s great I have the same containers too. Looks really clean compared to others especially the piping. Thanks for sharing gonna steal this idea, God bless
Good job, man!
read the instructions.....the center ring comes out
I've never heard of biscoff, so I was interested to see how it works in a cheesecake. Well....was it delicious? It sure looked it!
It was very delicious 🤤
Good job! Thank you.
I enjoyed it❤
thank you for watching
Cardboard isn't needed, neither are coffee grounds. BSF will lay directly on food scraps, and they don't require coffee. Safe yourself some grief.
Thank you for this I really appreciate it
You could even leave those entrances off... they will find a way in lol.
Those red hole saws that come with the "kit" are garbage. They're fine on plastic. But an aluminum down-pipe will dull the teeth faster than Trump can claim election fraud.
Do the male flowers need to be opened in order to pollinate the female?
Yes it does
Rain water over tap water. What a famer
Yes it lookes better than it did before. It's coming a long good son
Ha
What? Comeback on grass?? Looks dead… and you’re using the cones😊 for killing chickens?? Yuk
Does it work for pigeons ?
It should work for pigeons. Just set it at the appropriate temperature
Hey I hope your channel is successful this video helped me
Awesome I’m really glad to hear that and thank you so much for watching and for the encouraging words
What a numpty😮
Thats a good harvest
Have ever had a problem with the pump not turning on? There is a pump off funktion to turn it off for 12 hours and it goes back to its regular cycle. But mine doesn't turn on at all. Have you ever had the same problem?
No sorry I haven’t
@@CityBoyFarmingAndrewSeegars I Just found out tody, why it didn't turn on. Apparently the little grey cylinder inside the pump is magnetic, so it has to be put in the right way for the pump to work.
@@MinecraftCentury100 I'm glad you were able to figure it out I have to get a new machine
I just saw ur short about black soldier flies. Did your pod attract native black soldier flies? If so how long did it take them to come?
'promosm' 🤪
don't use the same soil for potatoes, disease problems. use that used soil for above ground vegetables now mixed with some new soil like you said.
You take the egg turner out it just lifts up
Thanks for the informative video! I am hoping to put in a rain barrel soon and this is very helpful! I've hear putting vegetable oil will prevent mosquito larvae from breathing as the oil floats on the top and blocks them from getting air? Maybe a little olive oil? Wish me luck! Also good luck to you! I'm going to subscribe to support your channel!
An easier method is to crush the berries enough to get 3 cups of juice and then add 3 cups of sugar, mix it until mostly dissolved and add everything to a gallon glass jug with either the cork specifically made for making wine or a balloon with a few holes in it. After 2 weeks take a cup of juice from it and mix with another cup of sugar and pour it back inside. Give it another two weeks and it should be done!
Thank you for that I will definitely try that and it does sound easier lol
Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed weekend.
Very smart
Thank you so much
Coffee kills larvae stop using coffee!!
I wonder if, after a month or two, if they stay under the arches without the netting?
That’s a good question lol I would love to try it
