Kevin, this is incredible! I've been enthralled with the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team since I first saw them perform in 2005. I have enjoyed all of your videos, but the ride with Aeroshell...oh, man...just so cool. Congratulations on the opportunity and thanks for sharing it with the rest of us.
My father solo'd in the AT6 in 1947. He was previously a bombardier/navigator on the B-29 during WWII. My dad went on to fly in many different aircraft up to the mid 1960's. Dad was my hero and I admired him. I always wanted to fly but life got in the way LOL. Sadly, he passed away at the young age of 69 in 1991. Anyway, the point I want to make is I appreciated this video as it brought back some memories and I can appreciate you even more. I'm glad you were able to fly with them Kevin. Thanks for the video.
You're very welcome Michael! Glad to take you back to fond memories of your dad. He sounds like a true hero that served his country very well! Loved the sound and feeling of those old radial engines...I had a blast on that flight.
That was awesome to fly with the Aerobatic Team. The close in flying would have made me a little nervous. Looks like lots of neat things to do and see. Can see why you wanted to go. Fly safe.
A few years back I had a one hour front seat ride in a T6 Texan. Did loops and rolls, etc. My pilot, Jim, let me take the controls and do some turns! Wonderful experience! Thanks for sharing your experience Kevin!
You two are So cute together. That team flight must have been truly awesome. Great video. So wish I had gotten into flying rather than so many other hobbies. Flying vicariously via your great videos. Rock on.
Yay. So glad this episode has been released! As you guys are my favourite, I waited to watch your Fun & Sun before seeing others. I didn't want any spoilers. Completely get you guys can only release one video a week. Appreciate you inviting us along your journey!

Well, my friend, you looked like a kid in a candy store with a big smile while flying with the team. Very cool that you were selected to go up with them. There is a lot of new gear to think about? Fly Safe.
I was very lucky indeed to get in with them! Took a few hours to get that smile off my face. It was really cool to be able to see all the different brands at one place so we could decide. We have it all picked out and it should be finished in the next 4-6 weeks hopefully. :)
I was clenching my jaw during the formation flying. I trained on a G 1000 back in 2007. Although it was very capable these new avionics seem amazing at what they can do. Oh, and Jamie looks great as always! Thanks Kevin!
You're welcome Terry! I have a few hours in G1000 planes. I'm loving our current avionics package! The Avidyne IFD's pair so well with the STEC 3100 and our G5's. :)
Pretty cool. MY dad flew those in primary flight training, USAF- in the early 50's. He said if you could fly (and land) a T-6 or T-28....you could fly anything. In the mid-70's I was a race team photographer for the Lefty Gardner P-51, highly modified for the Gold Cup stuff. I did a variety of coverage, behind the scenes, etc.- and my highlight.....I got to take some practice laps w/ him around the pylon course, in the "backseat"....which barely was. I remember the G-loads and how at times I literally couldn't get the camera off my chest. My Nikon F2 weighed a ton, physically impossible to get it to eye level when knife edging a pylon at 400+.

I bet it was hours before the grin wore off from that flight. That must have been a real experience. It is really something to see the technology coming into the aftermarket of GA. The grin on Jaime''s face when the music option was explained was great. Always nice to have the better half on board when we look at new stuff for our stuff. Great vid. I’m happy you got the opportunity to do that formation flying!! One of the very cool things we got to do “back in the day” and a long time ago. Got a little emotional there watching👍👍😎😎
Glad you enjoyed it...those guys really are amazing pilots! We had a blast down there and it was really cool to look at all the new avionics and make some decisions for our upgrade. :)
Love seeing another SeaDart. I used to be neighbors with one of the test pilots for that thing. We used to talk for hours about aviation in general and testing program for the SeaDart.
Wow...I just read about that after your comment. I didn't realize it was a jet engine sea plane fighter. Never entered full service but how cool it must have been to talk to the test pilot that flew that thing. :)
@@310Pilot They used to have one out in front of the Air & Space museum in San Diego. B.J. Long was the test pilots name, here is a presentation he did some years ago. th-cam.com/video/3HoMVP61wNE/w-d-xo.html

Awsome flight! I used to do some acrobatics just playing around. Wow, the avionics sure has changed! What a neat thing! I envy you with your knowledge to understand that! You have an awsome copilot that stays rite with apparently! You are blessed!
Thanks Mark! That flight was awesome...those guys put on a good show. We really fell for the Avidyne products and are about half way to having a their full suite installed. :)
@@310Pilot So, when can I expect you in MLB to get the install done at the Avidyne HQ?? Christine and I will be happy to host you and Jaime for a couple days. Great pool and outdoor entertainment area. It's like a resort. Of course, I have to be home which is like......NEVER! LOL.
Wow... great opportunity to go formation flying! And the avionics get more awesome every year! Really nice video... Going to have an air show here in August with the Canadian Snowbirds, I already have my weekend pass of course! I did an X-plane flight from my home airport (CYYY) to KARR in my favourite light jet, the Eclipse 550 and did the RNAV approach to runway 33. A bit over three hours at 300+ knots. Taxied all the way to your hangar... great fun! 😂 Take care and hi to your better half...
Avionics have really made huge strides in the past couple years...pretty cool time to be upgrading some of that stuff. Glad you enjoyed the video Gilles and have fun at your airshow! The snowbirds should be a lot of fun. That's neat that X-plane has it so detailed you can taxi up to our hangar. :)

Like I have said before, I don't fly but always have loved it💸 . A few friends have taken me up in there jump planes and I was in heaven lol. And I have flown a power parachute for a couple hrs. Thank you for the nice comment and the offer Hoss...we'll keep you in mind if/when we make it out that way. I'm a very lucky man and know it every day. :)
Awesome video Kevin! However, I still have you beat! Try taking a falcon 20 jet out for a test flight after the engines were worked on and the mechanic forgot to lock your seat down. Thats right, my seat! My seat and I fell backwards on take-off. Everyone started laughing and I replied, I thought I was in a airplane not the space shuttle. That was the funny part. What happened next was not at all funny. As we were turning final to come in to land. The aircraft in front of us had told the ATC in the tower that he was doing a touch and go but instead he came in and made a complete STOP! Thank God the engines responded in time to go around! The landing gear was down, the flaps and slats were fully extended and had slowed down for a landing. The ATC got on the radio and chewed out that pilot and told us to go around. Kevin and Jaime, I dare Kevin to go wing walking with no parachute! My grandfather, on my dads' side, was a wing walker before WW2. He and his brothers, at the time, lived in Alton, Ill. owned a steer-man. They would do air shows and go inverted, (up-side-down) 100ft! above the ground. Then when the war started, he flew the C-46 aka the, "hump," during the war. My family and I have all his medals, log books, a ticket from the air shows days, and all. This is what inspired me to want to be a pilot. You two are awesome but I could not be a ATC and be able to sit still in the ATC approach / departure room and up in the tower. I would want to be up in the airplane myself. In which I have toured my local ATC control tower. Plus been to Blue Mound, Tx. where Ft. Worth Center is located. Subburb just outside of Ft. Worth.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you make it there....we sure did. I'm not sure what the frequency will be for us but we will be back again for sure. It really was, very lucky to get that ride!
My how things have changed from one year to the next. That was so very cool to fly in formation. What a life! I'm wondering in Heaven if I'll be able to cruse the universe.
Oh I am sooooooooooo envious! It's amazing how well they match their speeds. I think that may be the biggest longest smile I've seen you have. LOL! Were the two silver ones the solo performers? Ha! I knew you'd get the Avidyne! - Lauren
They really were amazing at it Lauren! Hard to get the smile off on that flight. I think that is what the silver ones do...not sure. So far we have the Avidyne AMX240 and IFD550 installed and are waiting on a date to get the IFD540, remote transponder and their active traffic. Loving flying with the new IFD. :)

That was great, Kevin! Aeroshell ride - how awesome is that?? Even through the camera, that looked super close!! Can't even imagine how it looked in person. Amazing skills those guys have. 😎 I'm betting Jamie took a pass on that one, and stayed on the ground? 😁 Avionics today blow my mind with the features. It would take me 3 months to figure all of it out, lol! And I thought automotive GPS was super high tech! I'm just figuring THAT out! I finally bought one, right as auto manufacturers were incorporating them into every new model. I'm so stuck in 1985 ... 🤣 Sun N Fun looks like a blast. Hope I can get down there some day. Thanks for sharing Kevin & Jamie - much appreciated! 👍🍻
It was a blast Smitty...those guys put on a great show! Surprisingly Jaime said she'd be up for a flight like that. Maybe I can get her on one in the future. Loving all the new advanced tech that is making it into our cockpits right now. Makes flying more enjoyable/safer. :)

Love your videos Kevin and Jamie. Glad to know you are flying behind a great audio panel! AMX240 with IntelliVox and hi-fi audio quality should be an improvement over the GMA340. Proud to be on board.
It’s too bad Gauntlet isn’t there anymore, it was only $350 for a 40 minute ride in one of their T-6’s. And being in KARR it was easy to get to on a Saturday and go see if you could puke.
Awesome Kevin & Jamie!! The acrobatic flight was shear excitement Kevin! You did an outstanding job in the filming of that ride-along. Also your avionics shopping was fun too! Not sure where you ended up on the avionics but my vote is the Avidyne because I just installed an IFD540 last month & I love it! I replaced my GNS530W with it but ended up keeping the 530W & moving it over in the panel. I chose the IFD540 because I already had Synthetic Vision in my Aspen suite. Regardless which way you guys go, it's all fun stuff! Don :-)

1st to view ;-) WOW is all I can say to your flight with that team in that plane Kevin!!! Beautiful planes and flying sooo close it was amazing on camera!! How do you go about setting up rides with the various flights you've gone up with at air shows? I'm sure having a great aviation youtube channel helps! The avionics equipment you were checking out looked pretty darn amazing as well! Great video Kevin thanks again!!! If you ever get a chance to meet Shaun of Corporate Pilot Life channel on youtube do it, he is a super nice guy, flys Gulfstream GIV and Hawker's and I think you guys would have a blast. I only mention it as I know you both meet up with other aviation enthusiasts at events and his is the other channel I enjoy besides yours and youve both been my favorite channels now for quite awhile. I got to meet him in March when they made a suprise stop in Portland Or, so now it's your turn buddy! I'm getting back into flight sims (used to do them Lot) just so I can learn the 310 (as far as one can with a sim anyway) and start learning navigation and instruments etc I'm retired and since flight sim gas is realistically much more within my price range lol well see how that goes, once I figure it out I'll fly over to your area. Anyway thanks for another great video and sorry for babbling on!
Glad you enjoyed the video Don! I've been really lucky with some of the rides I've been on in my life and most of it boils down to 1) aviation is a small community 2) right place/right time. I had dinner with Shaun, Niko, Baron Pilot and 8MA the night before this ride. Great group of guys. :)

Glad you liked it Keith and thanks for your service! Those Aeroshell pilots are really impressive. :)
Great vid. I’m happy you got the opportunity to do that formation flying!! One of the very cool things we got to do “back in the day” and a long time ago. Got a little emotional there watching👍👍😎😎
Glad you enjoyed it Simon! Did you use to fly these birds?
Wow, that was one heck of a formation ride! Incredible avionics these days too. Hope you both had a great time down there.
The smile on your face was priceless Kevin!! Glad you guys had fun kid.
Ha ha...hard to get that off my face during/after that flight Alan. :)
You Lucky Dog! Off the Hook Flying...thanks very much for bringing us along! Also enjoyed the Avidyne demo thanks again!
Thank you Andrew...glad you enjoyed it! We liked the demo so much we ordered a full Avidyne suite. :) I am a lucky dog for sure!! That was a once in a lifetime flight.
I love Avidyne Avionics and I really enjoy your videos, thumbs up!
Thank you Pouyan! So far I have the AMX240 and IFD550 installed and loving it! Excited to get the IFD540, remote transponder and active traffic soon. :)
@@310Pilot Looking forward to future videos showcasing the newly installed goodies! :)
Thanks again so much for allowing us to live vicariously you flying travels! Great stuff Kevin and Jaime!!! The flight with the Aeroshell Team was ecstatic to say the least. That was CLOSE!!!
Hi Don!! :)
You're very welcome Don...glad you're enjoying riding along with us! :)
There's just something about pitching a tent up next to your plane lol. Thanks for the video! Sun N Fun is definetly the air show I want to get to.
We love it! Wish we were a little closer to stuff but I guess it's first come first serve and we didn't get there till later in the week. I'm sure you'll have a blast there David whenever you can make it.
Kevin, you lucky 'Dog!!! (Pun intended)! Ride of a lifetime, dude! Thanks for letting us "ride along" for what looked like an incredible experience. Totally jealous!!! :)
Glad you enjoyed it Bob...ride of a lifetime for sure!! :)
Awsome flight! I used to do some acrobatics just playing around. Wow, the avionics sure has changed! What a neat thing! I envy you with your knowledge to understand that! You have an awsome copilot that stays rite with apparently! You are blessed!
Hi Keven, for the avionics now it is way after the show I hope you bought " the big one ". You will never regret it. Jaime you are awesome.
Howdy! We went with a full Avidyne suite. So far I'm loving the IFD550! :)
Thanks for another great video. The Avidyne feature was nice. Congrats on your flight with Aeroshell. Looked like a lot of fun.
LOL.
The engines on the Aeroshell planes! 😍 What a beautiful sound.
Love that sound too John!
Kevin i always enjoy your flight specially landing time God Bless you dear
Looks like a great time, love the airshows too. Watch out for SNEAK PASS from the jets, they get me everytime! Thanks for posting.
You're welcome Douglas...it was a blast! They got us a few times as well. :)
Saw the angels 2 years ago in oshkosh and they were awesome!
Whether you're a plane enthusiast or not, they are a must see show.
I agree Jim!
Excellent video u guys-----I can smell new avionics in the the makin---go get em!!!Thanks again from Cajun Country---Gooo Tigers and the SEC!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Randall! We are about half done with the new avionics...waiting on a shop date to finish it all up. :)
Wow... great opportunity to go formation flying!
Awesome video. Looks like you guys had a great time.
It was a blast...glad you enjoyed it!!
Pg-13 please! Damn!!! 5:00. Awesome??? O hell yeah!!! Come on in and slide under at 10 ft!!! LoL!!! 10:00 left shift! Gezzz . People are not allowed to have that much fun. 👍👍👍 I thought 4 was good. 5 topped! Thanks K!!!
Alright! Truth, I have/had a couple and commented half way through and now I'm back. Shoot me!!! 😎😎😎 New stuff coming?????? Looking good. 👍 J!!! You are A+!!! Roll in with ice!!! Somebody better get that mirror installed!!! Plane looks great guys!!! Thanks, love the vids!!!
Thank you freedomrider!! Glad you enjoyed it. I loved how tight they slid under us there. We are loving how the plane is transforming into a modernly equipped version of her original self. :)
Very cool! Never been - need to put it on the "to-do" list! Thanks for sharing.
It was a blast...we will be back again for sure. I'm sure you will enjoy it whenever you decide to go. :)
Sun n fun living up to its name, that was so awesome :) It must have been such a buzz riding with the aerobatic team, living the dream for sure :)
It sure did Rab....we had lot's of sun (you can see some of our burns) and lot's of fun! :)
A great video, as always thank you for sharing,
You're welcome Bill...glad you enjoyed it!! :)
Kevin, Nice job on the video. Looks like a lot of fun. That was some close formation flying. Looks like you and Jamie are giving the new GPSes a good look over too. Good luck on whatever you decide to purchase. Thank you for the work you put into these videos. Have a great weekend.
You're welcome Mark...glad you enjoyed it! We had a blast down there and it was cool to have all the vendors in one place so we could see all the different options in action before deciding. We went with an Avidyne suite. We have the AMX240 and IFD550 installed and are waiting on a date to get back in and install the IFD540, remote transponder and their active traffic. Loving the new IFD!
@@310Pilot That was quick. Guess you don't like waiting when it comes to upgrades. Got to be getting pretty comfortable in that cockpit. Good luck with everything.
Brother your living the life. Beautiful wife with smarts also, great family, you get to live your passion with flying. Never forget all you have. Like I have said before, I don't fly but always have loved it💸 . A few friends have taken me up in there jump planes and I was in heaven lol. And I have flown a power parachute for a couple hrs. So I watch and love you guys and your channel (Hi Jamie). I'm over in Erie PA if you get this way let me know and I'll hook ya up with what ever ya need. 🛩️ From an old man LOL
Thank you for the nice comment and the offer Hoss...we'll keep you in mind if/when we make it out that way. I'm a very lucky man and know it every day. :)
Very nice. "That was cool" and chirp chirp sums it up.
Ha ha...sure did Ron! Perfectly kissed the runway. :)
Absolutely FRICKIN!!!! AWESOME!! DUDE!!!! thanks for sharing. Man that was cool!! Loved it!!! Thanks.. kick ass job on camera work up there..
Thank you Donald!! Glad you enjoyed it.
Worth.
Awesome flight with the Aeroshell Team. Thanks for bringing us along!
You're welcome...glad you enjoyed it! It was a blast. :)
Kevin great video. Looked like a lot of fun flying in formation. Thank you.
You're welcome Doc! Glad you enjoyed it....it was a blast. :)
Ok..that was cool as hell..thumbs up 👍
Thank you Matt...glad you liked it! :)
Great footage in formation! Glad to see you had the chance to fly with them!
Thank you Herb...glad you enjoyed it! :)
Love this vid! Enjoyed the ride-a-long with Aeroshell. My wife and I were there as well.
Glad you liked it James!! Ya'll going to make it up to Oshkosh as well?
Great video guys, Jamie thats one awesome TAT you have there girl!
Glad you liked it Robert! I love her tat's. :)
That was AWE SOME! Thanks for sharing it, Kevin!
Thank you David...glad you thought so. :)
You guys are making me jealous, hoping to make it to Sun n Fun 2020. Looked like a flight of a lifetime with the Aeroshell team.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you make it there....we sure did. I'm not sure what the frequency will be for us but we will be back again for sure. It really was, very lucky to get that ride!
Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you Dan...glad you're enjoying the channel. :)
That was an amazing view of the acrobatic flight. Thank you for sharing that.
You're welcome Andi...glad you liked it! :)
My how things have changed from one year to the next. That was so very cool to fly in formation. What a life! I'm wondering in Heaven if I'll be able to cruse the universe.
Looks like a great time. Thanks for the ride my friend. Great vid as usual.
You're welcome Chris...glad you enjoyed it! It was a blast. :)
So cool!!! that acro flight looked so much fun!
Glad you enjoyed it Mike....it was a blast!
@@310Pilot Awesome Kev! You're turning your 310Q into an A-319! Just remember though, the important addition is that visor with the mirror for worlds best co-pilot. Hehehe!
Loved it, that dual ifd is nice.
It sure is. :) Glad you liked the video. :)
Wow, that Avidyne is an awesome option! especially with the intuitive autofill. How cool is the ability for it to mirror all the data on the iPad as well?! I'm sold, add it to 1BC wish list! I am happy to help you spend your money! LOL... What a fun ride in the T-6 with the Aeroshell team! What awesome airmanship! totally jealous! What a cool event Kevin!
Ha ha...thanks for the shopping help Kyle! We did go with a full Avidyne suite and have the AMX240 and IFD550 installed and are waiting on the shop to be able to install the rest of it (IFD540, remote transponder and active traffic). Those Aeroshell guys are truly great pilots...what a ride! :)
310 Pilot congrats on the new radios! 1BC is going to be an awesome XC machine!! Can’t wait to see where ur taking us next!
That was great, Kevin! Aeroshell ride - how awesome is that?? Even through the camera, that looked super close!! Can't even imagine how it looked in person. Amazing skills those guys have. 😎 I'm betting Jamie took a pass on that one, and stayed on the ground? 😁
Avionics today blow my mind with the features. It would take me 3 months to figure all of it out, lol! And I thought automotive GPS was super high tech! I'm just figuring THAT out! I finally bought one, right as auto manufacturers were incorporating them into every new model. I'm so stuck in 1985 ... 🤣
Sun N Fun looks like a blast.
"Excuse me Miss, is that a sectional on your pants or are you just happy to see me?!" Aeroshell rocks. Always love working with them at shows. Such humble guys and fun to be around.
Ha ha. :) Those guys were so much fun to be around/fly with for a bit...I was very lucky!
awesome video Kevin, thanks for sharing!!
You're welcome Brian...glad you enjoyed it!
Lots of nice looking aircraft man, you lucky dog you, lol. Have you ever flown one of those tail draggers? Wow, that is pretty cool Kevin, love the loops. Thanks for sharing this man, you did an excellent job of recording.
I've been in several tail draggers but I've never flown them during takeoff or landing. Maybe one of these days I'll get her done. :) Glad you enjoyed it!
@@310Pilot I know your busy with your work, flying, recording, editing and everything else you do but what I really appreciate is you taking the time to reply to comments or questions even if it takes a few days. Your a down to earth good guy with great skills, thanks for sharing your great video's Kevin.
Not shopping now but thank you. Watch RFD tv and the tractor shows. Was curious what it was. Thanks again.
No problem. :)
Wow! Amazing! So Cool !!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Love your videos Kevin and Jamie. Glad to know you are flying behind a great audio panel! AMX240 with IntelliVox and hi-fi audio quality should be an improvement over the GMA340. Proud to be on board.
Now that was freaking awesome! Great great video, always wanted to fly one of those.
It was a real blast James!! Glad you enjoyed the video. :)
Love the T-6, one of my all time favs. Got to fly in Gaunlet’s bird at KARR a couple times before they moved.
That's awesome Darren! I had a blast flying with those guys. :)
Don :-)
Glad you liked it Don! Happy it turned out as well as it did. We went with your vote! So far we have the AMX240 and IFD550 installed and waiting a shop date to get back in for the IFD540, remote transponder and their active traffic. Loving flying with the IFD...what a tremendous user friendly upgrade. :)
Nice! Keep’em coming.
Thanks Jay! We'll keep them coming as long as ya'll are enjoying them. :)

1st to view ;-)
WOW is all I can say to your flight with that team in that plane Kevin!!!
What an experience!! And stunning video!!
Thanks Steve...it was a blast!
