I absolutely agree! I just saw this & I was like "What?! How have I never heard her?!' So I watched this. I'm an A's fan and I've met Ichiro 2x's but at the time I worked in baseball & the 2nd time I had an old friend playing on the Marlins and both times I held it together (barely!) and didn't go straight "fan girl" - if I were her & he'd asked me if I was OK? Omg! I would've fangirled out like this. Also, I've really only "fangirled" out myself once (ok 1 1/2) time. Long stories but she is great. How had I never heard of this until now?! Makes me feel like a bad man fan. I'm a big Ichiro fan. So weird! Love this chick tho!
That’s awesome and yes absolutely true, that’s why we love sports, the connections that we make with the athletes on and off the field attributes to a great testament in life, never giving up mentality. Love it 👍

I know what she felt like back in the early nineties I meet Willie Mays there was a lot of Construction in the Santa Clara County. The Great Mall in Milpitas was near completions, I was delivery some blue prints at the office. I notice a group of people that were standing in the distance. I ask what was going on ? somebody said Willie Mays was there. I ran over a got a handshake. my father and Grandpa told me stories of his play in the MJL. I Didn't wash my hand for the day. what a treat.
