I have always known it as "Plumbers Tape For Ends" so we all live and learn

I watch many blogs on boat builds because I am at the start of a renovation of a 57 ft one built in 1979, it's a nice shaped hull too, I always return to your channel because you impress me with what you do, I must say I think you are OTT on a lot of things 😀 like your battens on the ceiling and walls and you certainly won't feel any draughts with all the insulation, but still you do it belt and braces, I think I take tips from you, then add my own twist, but your work is very precise. I think by the filming you are near the power station near Kegworth, I am only a couple of junctions South on M1.

Cheers that is nice to hear. haha OTT yes probably but its worked out so much easier further down the line making everything neat and tidy. All the work on the insulation has definitely been the best thing we did in the early stages. We have had people come onto the boat in the summer and comment on how much cooler our boat is compared to theirs and in the winter we have never had to leave our fire on over night like a lot of other boats do as it is far too hot. So far we don't regret it but yes we can see why you think it was OTT 😆. Yes we fitted ours out at Red Hill Marina on the hard standing. Good luck with yours and say hello if you see us on the water 👍

Excellent work as always. I was a little bit surprised you didn't have another extender so you didn't have to nibble out that bit for the 90.
Like you, I love 90° ball valves. Nothing but those in my home.
I presume the sink is going to be one of these "bowl on top of the counter" types that are so popular these days?

Thankyou, Yes would have been easier if i had ordered an extra extender eh but a bit impatient to wait for another delivery. Yes thats right, the sink sits on top so we can have it a bit higher so the hole in the boat doesn't have to be too close to the canal

Another quality job. I totally agree about the full bore fittings, they' are much better than the slot type. The all plastic speedfit isolation valves ae good as well. Hope Nanny is recovering well. All the best. George

Thankyou. We used a 3/4 skin fitting. Can't remember the rest, I will have to rewatch the vlog and let you know hahaha
