    With the stunning announcement recently of law and order being revived for a 21st season, who else would like to see Jamie reprise reprise her role as a judge? We last saw her as a recurring guest star in law & order trial by jury where she played a very interesting and ethical judge. If the rumor is true that they want to bring back former characters, with her it wouldn't be difficult!

    • @cleobrown413

      I watched very little of Trial by Jury. I did not know Jamie was a judge on the show. I must now watch the series just to see her 😀.

    • @mikeg8375
      @mikeg8375 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cleobrown413 she was only in one or two episodes, but she killed it as usual. I wish I could remember which ones she was in but honestly it might be worth it to just watch the whole series. I was disappointed it got canceled, yes the ratings were mediocre but at this point the ratings of the original series weren't that much higher. They also gave trial by jury that Friday night slot and I actually think it performed pretty well considering. There's some great episodes that are worth watching for sure.

      She made an appearance. She’s still a DA. She almost got herself fired protecting a woman who was raped by a celebrity (it was clearly the Bill Cosby case, only he gets murdered here.) It’s on Peacock, commercial free.

    • @mikeg8375
      @mikeg8375 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jamietheroadrunner yeah she made an appearance but she definitely was a judge in the law and order universe for a while and I wish they would have explained that transition better and to be honest I'm not really happy with what they did with her character. She was a very ethical prosecutor and what she did in that episode was not ethical.

    • @Jamietheroadrunner
      @Jamietheroadrunner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mikeg8375 I get it tho. Even the most ethical of people get worn down over time watching the guilty (and rich) go free. Plus, she felt personally responsible. That’s what I like about Law & Order, they’re brutally realistic.

    Jamie would ultimately leave the DA's office within that year, the scene at the end I think was a foreshadowing of that. She would come back as a defense attorney in a couple of episodes and end up as a judge in the short-lived "Trial By Jury". The show didn't do well in the ratings, and Jerry Orbach's death early on was I think another blow to it.

      But he *wasn't* coming to her. He was threatening the DA's office. He was threatening all her hard work and the law that she loved. He was ready to put guilty criminals back on the street so he could get away with murder. He only changed his tune when that plan fell apart. Even then, he was justifying his lawlessness and blaming others for his predicament. That's not someone who deserves her sympathy. But she DID have sympathy for his wife.
