Thanks gals. Like everyone else I put shelves in those bedside cupboards. But I bought the ones that hang from the rail. Much more practical. Love the van. I am hosting a camp next year for us grrls. Let me know if you’re interested. Lots of like minded women. Cheers.
Yes when we can we will be looking at sorting the shelves situation. We have seen the ones that hang. Would you be able to tell us more about the camp?
Hey Rowan thanks for the watch and comment...Gay has a new hat fetish, seriously in all the time we have been together she has only ever worn 1 hat, travel a few months and she has 2 newby hats and I notice her having sneaky looks around still. Cheers Carol
Have a look at the game called finska. Gas struts are easy to change. The number take of the 0. So n250. Is 25kg. There just a little metal clip. Pull and push on and put the clip back. Bunnings have.
Hi girls, great video, as usual..love the new van! We have a Jayco eagle outback, and like you's we don't sit at the dining table very often, (mostly sit outside). What we do use it for is: we have it folded down and put our GS dog's bed on it, so he sleeps there!...More room for him, than on the floor!
Hi thanks for the reply, we have always wanted to make sure Toby is treated like a king, we had a Jayco eagle too for a bit, we anaged to have our 2 dogs at the time sleep on the couch.......with a doonah over them. ❤Carol
Awesome! Love seeing interior tours. Now if anyone wants a sticky beak in your van you can just direct them to the video! "Flossie" 😉 looks great, not actually "vintage" at 20 years old, but still a great old van! Much better value than a brand new van as it's been tried and tested. I've lost count of how many people I've met in my travels that are en route back to a dealership with their brand to vans to get various issues repaired. Love the big windows. So happy to hear you don't leave your ultra bright outside light on all night like so many people to at caravan parks driving me bonkers as they shine in through my curtains when I'm trying to sleep! 😂 Gosh yes baby wipes...the shower you have when you can't have a shower! Always have several packs in stock in my van! With your games...my rule of thumb is: if anything in the van hasn't been used in the past 6 months it goes...and my other rule is: if something new comes in, something goes out. So how are you finding the change to the van? Would love to see a comparison pros and cons video to your previous set up. Nice job you two!
Hahahaha Flossie (we still have not found a name waiting for something to stick). Thanks for letting me know about vintage. We changed the title to classic. Gay op shops a lot and looks for vintage clothing (20 years or older). Hence we thought it was vintage. Totally agree about preowned over new vans. Like you we have also spoken to. many people who have issues with new vans. A former Jayco employee worked for Gay for a little bit. He explained their process. It's no wonder many vans go back for repairs. Oh yes love the windows. Our curtains are kinda see through (almost). We were thinking of tinting the windows. Yes we have noticed many people leave their lights on their vans at night. It is annoying. We recently stayed in a caravan park that had netball courts. And yes one of the light towers was on all night. So hard to sleep. Yes we love our baby wipes. We don't use them often. On this trip we have used our own shower or been in places with a shower. Gay loves her games. They are card games. We will keep some of them. Others can go. We actually thought we would have had more time to play some games. We are really surprised at how busy we are. There has been a few other things though that we thought we would use and have not even touched. We think it will be interesting later this year when we repack the van. Yes we are almost in the process of recording a video on our pros and cons compared to our camper trailer. Thank you tips. And for watching 💗🤗👍☀❤⛺
Hi Carol, It was what I think it was. But if you have convinced yourself that keeping Toby's bed up is the best option, I'm happy with that. Keep up the good work, girls.
The two seat staps could have been for a tv while travelling. If you got a laptop. Jriver software. One off fee. Rip op shop cd,s, then when it's on the laptop. Rip the cd to usb and then play music for days on random. Country, soul, rnr, etc usb sticks.
Yes we when we purchased the caravan it came with a smart TV. A really cheap crappy one. It travelled on the seat with the straps. We actually don't watch much tv. Your idea of putting onto USB sounds great. We love our country music. ❤
Love your videos. We have a 13' van with only three small shelves for clothes storage. We put our clothes in packing cubes, they come in different sizes, it is amazing how much stuff you can get in them.
Hey Mark we tried a hanging cube style thing on Gays side of the bed.........its like pick up sticks when we get anywhere 😂 we are thinking of shelves but maybe look at some cubes.....good chance we will put a video out on what we do.❤Carol
Oh so glad that we can keep you entertained 😀 yeah we think shelves might be the way to go Im going to speak to my little Bob (the builder) and see what she can knock up. ❤ Carol
Another very in-depth video Girls. Seems you have everything well organised inside the van. One little trick to save water is when rinsing the dishes use a water spray bottle. Sorry missed the live feed but did look later on. Must be close to home now?
Why thank you its always nice that people make a comment, we love it. Great idea on the spray bottle! Still working our way home doing alot of zig zagging. ❤Carol
Fantastic Gay and Carol. Wow the caravan looks fantastic thanks for tour around your van. I built shelves in the side bed cupboards and just foldered our clothes and place them on the shelf. and at the front of the van where you lift it up the poptop we hung our tv off there on hooks so we could lay in bed watching tv. the roadstar we had was the same lay out as yours. How did you go with the fridge did you get it sorted out.
Hey Terry, we do love our van, its suits us so well. I am going to get Bob( Gay my builder) to knock up some shelves for our clothes. Now the fridge is an iteresting one. I took the vent off at the bottom of the fridge looked at everything then put then vent back on. So really did nothing anyway fridge is working at the moment so no idea, will keep an eye on it. If i have any hassles i will hit you up. Thanks Terry ❤Carol
Hi thank for the watch and coment we love people commenting it great to interact with people. Our Royal Flair is really a cracker and Gay did some serious research before we got it. The suspension is almost over the top for our needs, apparently they went over the top years ago building these vans which makes them so realiable. Cheers ❤Carol
Hi ladies, I love your videos. Can I ask if you have heard about the topp twins. From New Zealand. Who is camp leader and who camp mother. No disrespect. Check John Mck47. Rap the pump and diesel fuel filter with an old rag. Diesel turns to soap, which is super cold.
Hey Rusty why yes I have heard of the Topp twins they have done a fair amount of touring through out Oz over the years, I have never be able to see them though, some friends of mine got me onto them. Thanks for the advice on diesel will do. ❤Carol
Hey freefly funny story we had booked into 2 caravan parks, we thought the van came in around 17 feet incl the A-Frame, anyway its about 18foot with the A-Frame. Its bigger than what we thought, however it really is a dream to tow. ❤Carol
Have a thing. Camp mother, camp leader. Or, like philly and Keely, there is nothing like a swim, sandwich, or coffee. Have a look at 4xoverland, storytelling your videos need to be, check out his africa videos and canning stock route. It is the way he does it. Ybs youngbloods. It is one thing that attracts people to watch. Ghost town living. And people that judge stuff them. Make a saying about them. Like fluffy bums. Or fruit bats or telly tubbies.
Thank you I (Gay) had a look at your suggestions. It is something that we are working on - storytelling. We think with experience and experiments it will improve. Love your suggestion about fluffy bums etc great idea.
Loved every second of your walk around !!! Great sense of humour. Could watch you all the time. Thanks for the laugh 🤭

Cut some pool noodle into a long triangle shape and wedge it into the core of handtowel
Killed it peeps. Well done.
Thank you we are doing our best and having a good time also. ❤
Hi girls. Just subscribed as I love your sense of humour. I'd love to cross paths on our travels one day and share a fire pit with you. Take care.

I have a similar compost bin, also free. While you use yours for rubbish, I use mine as a travel toilet (with wood pellets) while camping in my SUV. 😅
What a great idea. We are learning that compact and less is best. ❤

Oh Ed you have such a great mind I love it.
On ya Gay and Carol! Love the way you hung your hat! Haven’t thought of that before
Thanks Rob. Well the clips came with the van. We had no idea what to do with them. Then Gay was fiddling one day and found a purpose lol. 😂

Awesome thank you. Very much appreciated as we build our little tribe. ❤
