Hi Susan Butler! I never said my hair was reacting, i said, "if you don't wash it out, it can cause breakage". That's with any product; conditioner, shampoo, moisturizer, oil, grease, custards, etc. Girl I have been natural for 2 1/2 years and my hair is almost waist length. I have trimmed it several times, so just imagine how long it would be. The length retention is due to the grease and the growth is due keeping my hair and scalp clean. For me, grease is a conditioner. Even if you are using it as a sealant, you need to WASH IT OUT!

2 major things that help me to avoid breakage: I always, always, always deep condition after shampooing. I also use regular conditioners (Aussie Moist). My hair loves the stuff. A creamy leave-in is a must for me. I detangle with my fingers or Denman brush and seal with olive oil. I haven’t used grease in years, but if I did, I’d use a leave-in first. I may just try it.

Hair grease has aided in locking in the moisture of the leave-in we use. And we use cheapo products such as ORS sulfate shampoo and deep conditioner. Girl I actually agree with you. I recently started using grease and I shampoo and deep condition and use a leave in and moisturizer & then use the grease to seal, but I noticed when I wash my hair, my hair dries really fast and my ends have started breaking off and feeling really dry. This never happened to me until I started using grease! I believe it’s drying my hair out and preventing moisture from penetrating it

Hi! Girl, yes! And that's why I say not to comb the hair after applying the grease. Before shampooing, I wet my hair with hot water while in the twist, put a plastic cap on to allow some moisture, even if it's just a little, back into my hair. I detangle while the "moisturizing" shampoo is lathered into my hair. Grease is good for retaining length and the thickness of your hair, but you have to be careful.

All greases are not the same. The blue one she’s using is for hot combs - you know the ones you put on the stoves years ago- because it’s light. The BEST one is the GREEN because it says in big words : “The Original ‘Anti-Breakage Formula Bergamot Hair & Scalp CONDITIONER: Nourish Your Hair and Scalp”! It does it’s job as soon as you put it in with water!
Yesterday, put all those new products in my head and scalp got inflamed and my hair was too hard to rake my hands though. So, I immediately washed that stuff out, towel dried my hair, grabbed my Original “Anti-Breakage Formula,” slicked it through and my hair ate it up and said thanks. It laid down with the thickness and curled up so beautifully. I then put SOME olive oil mousse in and plaited it and put my satin night scarf on. My hair and I were quite pleased!

Hi Ada Mbata! I have two videos posted about not using conditioner. Please note that I do use deep conditioner before and/or applying heat. If your hair has not been chemically treated, you do not have to use conditioner because the hair will do what it suppose to do. I do suggest if you use conditioner, to only follow with an oil vs grease. Following with grease can cause build-up. I use grease to condition my hair and the ORS Hair Lotion and Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil to condition my daughters' hair. My oldest daughter's hair is thigh length without using conditioner, and youngest is at least waist length or maybe to her belly button; I'm not exactly sure. Please review those videos also. I tried conditioner on my oldest daughter's hair years ago, but didn't see the benefit. Again, it's because our hair has not been chemically treated (relaxed, dyed, etc). Hope this is helpful! All products can cause breakage (grease included) due to build-up. Also, I would never use a cholesterol conditioner and then hair grease because that's INSTANT build-up. Please note that conditioner does NOT add moisture to your hair, water does. A lot of us think that the hair we see in the comb is shed hair when it's actually breakage due to build-up and matting from the products we use. Grease does not cause matting, but for sure can cause breakage if you don't wash it out. Water, shampoo, and oil/grease is all we need to grow our hair.

Hi tribe Richards! I use grease because over time I have figured out how to use it and avoid the breakage. "ALL" products can cause breakage if you don't use them correctly due to build-up; even the leave- in and conditioner that people are referencing in their comments. As I stated in the video, I've always talk about the pro's of using grease, but never mentioned that it can cause breakage if you don't use it correctly. Basically, giving my followers as much info as possible. My regimen doesn't need to be refined because it works for me. Also, I never said that I didn't experience wonderful results from using grease. I'm 100% pro grease; that's the reason I've posted several videos showing how I have used grease to retain length and thickness and recommend others to try it. We often think that when we comb our hair and see the hair in the comb (etc.),it's "shed" hair. Girl that's breakage from the build-up and matting due to using the products. But hey all I can do is tell ya what the good Lord loves, and that the TRUTH! Take it or leave it.

Tribe, This is no shade to NeziNapps, but I watch her videos also, and disagree with some of what she does. For example, she greases her scalp several times before shampooing. I'd never do that because that causes build-up on the scalp. But to each it's own. I've seen a video where she talked about having a bald spot due to scratching her scalp. I immediately thought, "IT'S THE GREASE!!" And for that reason, I wash my hair every 2 to 3 days to "reset". Think of this way... how many times do you apply lotion/Vaseline to your skin after bathing? What would happen if you applied lotion/Vaseline to your skin often without bathing? Girl, you'd be itching and stinky. It's the same thing! Also, grease does not moisturize your hair; however, ONLY conditions the hair. In this video, I'm only "reminding' my followers that grease can cause breakage if it's not washed out. I don't experience a lot of breakage because I wash it out. Whatever, I do to my and my daughters' hair, I share with my followers.

@@mrs.mississippi5035 A bald spot can also be due to nutrition. When i was relaxed i developed a bald spot due to Anemia and unhealthy eating practises. Also, I oil my scalp every 3-4 dys and dont have build up. I also wash my hair when i get to it. Your schedule would not work for me. I dont get build up because i use only D.I.Y products. I dont use commercial natural products. I make everything.
But the pros and cons of any product is good infomation to have for the user.
I am still not convinced by using grease though you youtuber make it look interesting, 😁

Hi QuietQuilla W! Conditioner and moisturizer are two TOTALLY different things. Conditioner is not a moisturizer. I don't use the grease as a moisturizer; however, to condition my hair and seal in the moisture from washing my hair. When I say "condition" I mean, soften, provide manageability, shine, strengthen. It's just like washing your hands and then using vaseline on them . Please see my Wash Day Routine for less than $10.00. Try it and see how soft your hair will be and little to no breakage. Let me know if this is helpful. Thanks for your comment.

@@janereyrules1083 Yeah it changes depending on where I am or the season but, I wash once a week. And condition after I rinse the conditioner out I lightly put olive oil throughout my hair. Blow dry/stretch then put a leave-in in my hair. Next, I put hair grease on my ends and oil my scalp the next day I grease my scalp(I'll moisturize as needed). If it's the summer I skip oiling my scalp and just grease it. If it's winter I'll lightly use the grease to coat all my strands and won't use a leave-in thought the week. I don't use deep conditioner(I don't have the time and I think it's a waste of money).

The hair you see in the video is due to manipulation, not because of not using conditioner. Any time you manipulate your hair you will see a few strands in the comb or in your hands, and it's not shedded hair. The grease is my conditioner. The purpose of the video is to inform if you don't wash out grease and reset it, it will build up and cause breakage. Send me a picture of your hair so I can see the progress considering you apply grease every three days.

The problem is your shampooing way to much , it’s going to take a long time for your hair to return back to a good moisture level.. the shampoo has dried and damaged it...your hair is dry from the shampooing , first shampoo once every week or two , second deep condition , third leave in conditioner, forth Blue magic . Moisturize and seal.

@@Jazminfields No, that’s not what I said. I said grease can “cause” breakage. You have to wash grease out of your and reset it before applying more to your hair. It’s pointless to apply grease to dry hair because there is no moisture/water in the product. That’s all I’m saying in this video!!! Keep in mind, I’m providing info based on MY routine/regimen. Regarding me showing the hair, that’s due to manipulating dry hair. Any time you manipulate dry hair, you will experience breakage. Well shoosh, even with wet hair. Most people call it shed hair, but it’s “breakage”. You can wash your hair everyday if you want, you just have to have the right gentle cleanser for your hair.

My routine changed and now my shampoo and conditioner is aloe Vera and charcoal it feels amazing leave my hair feeling soft and moisturized I do everything in section I wash in sections condition in section detangling in sections everything. it is much easier to handle and less breakage and shedding then after I have shampoo and condition I will do my deep treatment I cut my fresh aloe Vera pieces and section and I will not do this every wash day just every other time you wash your hair but I cute my pieces and rub the aloe Vera on yk scalp my ends and my hair and once the section is done I love on until I’m finish and leave on for about 20-30 minutes then when you rinse your hair is still moisturized then I go in and make my also Vera moisturizing detangling spray and apply that ok a section detangle then go in with pink lotion and blue magic and then twist that section and I do my whole entire head and once sections are dry and has soaked in i style it all those products leaves your hair feeling soft manageable and moisturized and I leave my hair in two huge puffs for a week leave our hair alone as long as it’s protected and not too tight your hair will grow super long and thick and healthy if you just do that I also do not use gel on my hair 🤷🏾‍♀️❤️I love it my hair has gotten thicker and longer and also in my aloe detangling spray I will apply a essential oil peppermint or Jamaican black castor oil and that’s it there ou have it and my hair stays moisturized for two weeks even longer ❤️❤️love it
