Sup bro... I'm a Field Manager for a valet trash company. Salary is $59k year plus bonus. So I average 63k, I work from home 3 days and 2 out in the field. I left banking for this "trash" job, best thing I ever did 💯
Local trucker driver - railroad fuel tech hourly but pay package for my area bases 74k no extra days ,12 hr shifts 4 days a week -first cdl job.I’ll hit 80 k for my first year as a trucker
I was going to flatbed for melton truck lines OTR as well, after a month of training went by I probably would average 1,400-1,800 after taxes since other drivers who has their hazmat/ TWIC card made that. But the lifestyle killed me mentally, anyone who sticks out trucking is genuinely a warrior. You don’t realize how fked it is until you actually do it. Now I’m in a sales position with weekends off, work from 7-4 and actually have a life outside work. Lost 10-20k yearly with that decision but the quality of my life improved 1000%
I actually worked for Melton back in 2021 when i first started. Flatbed js challenging especially for a new driver. made decent money starting out but it was alot of work. made if only 6 months and needed to move on because being out for 3 weeks just to have 3 days off wasn't for me.
I wish people would stop using net pay as a guide to what you can make. Everyone's taxes, insurance, retirement contributions are different which effects the net pay. Gross pay is the level playing field and true reflection of what is possible. We could each gross the exact same amount of money but net vastly different final amounts depending on individual factors.
I work in NYC in the sewers rehabbing them. Pay is all prevailing wage at $96.00 an hour. Not my dream job but the money is worth the risk. God bless you all for the blue collar men in the U.S.
I’m a flat rate paint prep, and I paint if painter calls out. Grossed 103k last year with an average of 32-35 hrs a week. Painter worked same amount of hrs but made 220-230k. It’s nutty.
Damn I’m a prepper as well and I work a lot but haven’t hit that much money yet and at the moment I will be painting soon but not sure if it’s for me do you enjoy it ?
@@chris_ramirez36 I love it, pays good, days to by quickly. It’s very labor intensive tho, but the more you do it the faster you get. This week I’m loving it because I’ve only worked 25/26 hrs so far and I’m already at 103 hrs. Tomorrow is Friday I already know I’m going home early AGAIN. Just hoping for a few more jobs to bump my hours up a bit more and to be home by lunch time again.
I used to be a chef but the hours and time away from family is what caused me to leave the job didn’t have that time to be with my lady and kids like I wanted at the highest I made 65k a year salary and the most hourly I made as a cook was $28/hr I left that job for a restaurant equipment sales job and this last year I made 65k 9-5 Monday thru Friday with way more flexibility and less stress so all in all it worked out
I run a Shuttle run from RI to PA for penske logistics. I'm on a BMW auto parts account. even though they pay 0.50 cents a mile i'm still guaranteed $1,200 a week and home next morning. also thats take home for me. its the most i've ever made in trucking so far. I've been able to get myself even closer to paying other bills off for sure. But i truly miss being out on the road. I miss it 100%
based on the pay stub, you could've earned about $20 a day for every day you were out on the road if you enrolled in their per diem program, that's some $6000 to $7000 of taxes that you wouldn't need to pay in a year's time
I didn’t provide my last 6 months of pay stubs where I took advantage of the per diem. I did enroll in that about 6 months before I left. $69/day, untaxed. Made a difference for sure in my check!
I do the same shit lol I detail cars 2 days a week and I do Uber eats lol more time to chill with the family but to be honest the 2 full day of details I'm guaranteed 800-1000 a day ... I'm not mobile so they come to me .. sometimes I make more because construction companies want their big equipment cleaned and it pays great lol uber eats. 15 he a week I make about $420 before I take out taxes and gas .. overall not bad .. I'm good working a soul sucking 8-8 job
Whats up Steve, hope all is well. School Custodian 67k 35hr work week. 4 weeks vacation 16 holidays. Comfortable job especially if you have a family but the money isnt the best.
I detail cars 2 days a wek 800-1000 a week and the rest of of siare time i deliver fir Uber eats and in 15hr a week i bring in $420+ and i definitely enjoy it and it comes with a pot of perks which i enjoy... But most importantly im not working 8-8 6 days a week anymore.. more tome to just chill...
id say its not particularly good especially because of where i am located ln southern ca. Plus im single and have no kids so uncle sam gives it me pretty good
$150k is wild! I know that when I get there in the future, I’ll be disciplined with the money! Keep up the good work. Also, would love to check out the cars one day, especially the TyPe R 🤙🏼
Hey Steve, was it that you didnt like driving trucks, or was it the hours and traveling? My buddy ended up going solo(buying his own Truck), but I know buying your own right now with financing is a probably not a great idea with interest rates where they are. But would you go back to trucking if you were able to be independent and have more freedom with your time?
@@TheGerbsteve yeah, I think I’d be a good fit. I’ve met plenty of good/bad cops. I like to help others. I think in a position like that, you can really help someone out that needs a break, discretionary ofc lol
