Dear Esther, both the original and remake, remains one of my favourite games of all time, and y'all have done nothing but impress me with each new release. Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture are special projects, some may like them, others may not. I believe that everything depends on several points: on perception and on the emotional state you are in when going through these stories. Undoubtedly, if you have experienced separation from a loved one, are in mourning or in a state of chronic depression burning from within, then these projects are especially for you. These are stories that make you realize that no matter how hard it is for you, no matter what difficulties force you, no matter what dark cloud settles over your head, all this is temporary. The main thing is to find something that can rekindle your passion for life, for new knowledge and new experiences. I remember back in 2015, my first experience of completing Dear Esther. At the end of the passage, I burst into tears like a child, because I realized that my emotional state at that moment was very close to the state of the main character of the story. These are not just games, they are something more.
Been a fan since Dear Esther. Rapture is one of my favorite games ever, and Pigs is my favorite Amnesia game...you guys tell great, interesting stories and I can't wait for your next two games.
"A Machine for Pigs" is still one of my favorites, because of its atmosphere, the end of the 19th century, my favorite setting .. if there were only more (adventure) games of this era ..
Everything was going so smooth with Bloodlines 2 until you had to give the player character a name, background and personality. I was already sceptical of only having 4 selectable Clans. The whole thing about Bloodlines was creating your own vampire with your own story. It's no longer OUR vampire story. Hence the game should drop the Bloodlines title, as it's not even a direct sequel and it begs not to be compared to Bloodlines. It should just been called "Swansong 2" or "Seattle By Night" instead.
You produced mediocre games with great music and decent environmental fluff but fair play - you were always down for an interview and panel. The full bore self-aggrandizement is proper bellend fodder especially with how terrible Bloodlines 2 looks.
