I recently bought my first cookbook from Milk Street which was 365; then I was browsing on TH-cam to find out more about Milk Street and I came across this video. So inspirational. Lets goo!!!! 🎉
I’ve been watching this show forever ❤😊 I asked my husband, why aren’t there any black people on the show, cause again I love this show. My husband said he believes because it’s filmed in Boston 😮
I used to deliver mail on Milk St in Boston. I guess that's where it's based then? ...ATK has a much more diverse crew now that ck is gone. That might be a good clue clue about why this show isn't.
last episode for the season...? really enjoying your show on TH-cam but... I can NEVER find ingredients you mention the rural mid-west has NONE of that stuff all we have is WalMart and THEY only sell what sells a lot
I wonder why Kimball showed so much temper during a take. He nearly hit her in the face after she mentioned canola oil is a suitable oil for high temperature frying. I agree that canola oil can taste fishy, but he could have made his point far more courteously.
Yeah that was awkward and shouldn't have made the final cut, unless they are trying to let us know what he's really like - i.e., a sometimes grumpy New Englander.
Could not believe Christopher Kimball's incredible rudeness to Bianca Borges during this episode. Behavior of a toddler...Chastising her about stupid canola oil that does NOT taste like fish and putting his hand/arm in front of her face. She should have thrown the sauce at him. Does he treat all of his employees this way.? Rethinking whether to watch this show in the future.
The funny thing about that is I have a subscription to Milk Street. I have made this chicken and yes, it's amazing! But, ironically, listed in the ingredients is to use peanut or CANOLA oil. Thats 100% in the recipe in the May/June 2023 edition. So, if Chris was so against the canola oil why did he let them include it in the publication? That said, I very much admire him and what he has done to get Americans to cook again. So, I'll give him a hall pass on this one! keep cooking everyone.....
I think canola oil is fishy, as do a lot of other people, but yes that was quite rude of him. Bianca also looked very surprised at the strong reaction.
@@MrJonl123 But he's had that personality since, well, forever. It would take an awful lot of hall passes to let him off. I also can't stand his reaction to the slightest hint of spicy. Lots of great food on the show but I credit him nothing for it.
I like Rosemary's energy! Please have her instruct us more on 🥛 Street.

@mpaulduffy Yes, I agree ck is more diverse.
Both shows are incredibly diverse!
What is wrong with an all white cast?
Delicious😍😍😍
Looks delicious 😋

I’m with Chris on this one, canola oil does give the food a fishy smell and taste. But it’s more obvious when it’s on vegetables like fried potatoes.

Missing out on the seaweeed for the Kimchi Fried Rice.
I made this with seaweed kimchi from Maine. Found it at the WF outside Boston. Really good.
What is ‘canola oil?’ Asking from 🇬🇧
rapeseed oil
@@jordanbarnes1720 thank you🙏
I don't know exactly what canola is but it's been known to be inflammatory, due to the process.
Milk Street Wins!
I agree that canola oil smells like fish! Yuck! Peanut oil FTW! :) Using chicken wings is great too.
I’ve been used Crisco Oil Blends that has canola, soy and sunflower oils.
MMMMm...Kimchi
That wasn’t nice CK 🤦♀️

Yes not so nice ck ugh 😣

Came here to say the same thing. What an utter jerk. No wonder they booted him off ATK.
