Guys thanks for your kind words about Ireland 🇮🇪 👍, top lads and welcome here anytime. Great ambassadors of kiwi rugby fans. 🏉 youre dead right about them having an off night, no turnovers for beirne is just bizarre. Luckily the sun rose the next morning.
Off night and still could have won it in the end. Ireland rugby is still in a good place if they keep up this form and trajectory. If Ireland and France keep at this kind of level, the worm will turn for them and they will get that first World Cup win monkey off their back.
Always enjoyed your content. Now that you brought out the Klippies, hands down my favourite rugby channel! Much respect! Just FYI, it's generally done with lots of ice.
Jeez guys still havent recovered from those games. The two games between the top 4 teams have left me shocked at the intensity...Totally numb..Outrageous!
Its of little consolation to Ireland and France but as the dust settles it might be easier to reflect and agree that sure enough these were two of the best International games of Rugby that any of us have seen sofar. The France v. NZ opener was good, the Ireland v. SA group game was great but these two games were magnificent. I really don't think that we will see this level of intensity in the rest of game, even if as it seems it ends up being a NZ v. SA final. Imagine if it was England v. Argentina and the Argies won tho ! now that would be mildly better perhaps......
@@creekykneeagree 100% the best games I have ever seen. Need to check into the hospital for a heart op though🤣 just disagree on the final, I think the rugby world has been overdue for a final between the two powerhouses of rugby and a NZ vs SA final will be epic! Hopefully we will get something at least similar to the 2 games in 2018 or like these 2 QF (but those will be hard to top)
Your experience for the Ireland v AB game was exactly the same as mine. Shit sleep, high BPMs and "don't ask me for anything" to the kid. Bitterly disappointed but heartened by the performance of the boys in green. Sure we went down but we did so fighting so I hold on to that enough to hold my head high for the team that bust a gut for their fans.
This is the first Rugby related video that I have watched since Black Saturday, and no, there is no way that I'm calling it All Black Saturday. My sister joked that it was like a "death in the family" after Ireland lost to NZ, but... it kind of was. And you guys nailed it exactly, the expectation was so high. It was interesting to hear how both of you felt before and during the game, cos that is exactly how I was, my brother-in-law tried to talk to me during the game and I just held my hand up and he knew to shut up. I'm not a bad sport, honest, but that was a very hard defeat to take. We were devastated, I could have handled hearing that Aunty Mary had croked it but Ireland losing the Qtr final again (I don't really have an Aunty Mary...). I have no interest in watching the highlights or the full game yet, I will but it will take me time to heal ! What a game though and again the France v. SA game was equally as good. We are very lucky to have had such an amazing weekend of Rugby to be sure. I'm thankful that on Sunday when I woke up with a very sore head that there was no bombs dropping on our home. A little perspective I suppose might help the healing. Love the video guys, I'm delighted for you both that your team is still in the mix. Its a nice feeling. I know that you can't curse on the video but I'd just like to say B@st@rds, it should have been us !
Exactly the same. I have zero interest in watching highlights or the game. "Gutted " doesn't come close to describing how devastated it feels. I can only imagine how shit the players feel. Ireland won't be down for long. There is a kid in Ireland that watched that game that one day will lift that bloody trophy.
On the try that was held up, Conor Murray spotted a gap to his left and was frantically trying to dig the ball out before they pushed over the line and it was ultimately held up, if only he could have got his hands on it! From an Irish perspective it's heart breaking but bravo to New Zealand, they got in there and got the job done. The sun still rises and Ireland will be back. The system in place with the province's will keep churning out quality and hopefully our best days are still to come.
For future reference, a brandy and coke is drunk similar to a gin & tonic. So a highball or similar glass. Filled with ice. Generally a double of brandy and the remainder of the glass filled with coke. Love the content!

I would definitely listen to you guys talk about nothing for an hour once the World Cup is done. But there’s still premiership, urc and top 14 for mark to watch and Tony to get told what’s happening
In the '70s, the Welsh introduce running the ball, changing NZ rugby forever. In the '20s , South Africa introduces Klippies to Two Cents get Distracted, changing NZ fandom forever.
Biggest reason Ireland lost imo is the fact that they didn't rotate like the AB's and the Boks did during the pool games. Ireland at the end of the day had a 20 man squad while the AB's and the Boks both have a squad of 32. France I feel were just damn unlucky and it could have gone either way. Would have been amazing if these games were the semis instead. Maybe worthwhile is saying that quarter finals should be based off world rankings, so regardless of what pool you are in the quarter finals will always be based off what the rankings were when you came into the tournament. This would actually put some value on world rankings which would make teams really pay attention to every test.
My favourite movie bit like that is in the movie Anaconda, the boat gets beached on a shoal or something in front of a waterfall. And then when they get it off & moving again, they just show that scene in reverse, so the waterfall is flowing upwards.
technically the argies knocked us out 3 times. the quarter final playoff in 99 under gatland where we tried the 13 man drive at the end, the final group game in 07 which we had to win to qualify, and the quarter in 15. That 07 argentinian team was special though, unlucky not to make the final
Matias Maroni is the Conrad Smith of Argentina. These are guys who are underrated, specialist defenders who peak at the end of the careers through sheer intelligence, experience and patience.
Great chat, lads! Glad to see you enjoying the Klippies & Coke. I'm more of a KWV or Richelieu man myself, but Klippies works in a pinch! Yeah, lots of ice needed! Hahaha! Great weekend of rugby! Congrats to the teams going through. I expected Wales and Ireland to win, but Argentina and NZ said no. Hahaha! Bring on the semi's! At the risk of sounding arrogant, how great will a NZ v SA final be? Here's to hoping the boys pull it through!
as a neutral I will remember FRA/SA as the greatest match EVER in rugby history and that it was won by a fraudulent charge from Kolbe....a real, real, real drama. congratulations for these two teams....I will dream of it for a long time.
At least you guys got to watch the game first thing in the morning, try having to wait the whole bloody day for a 9pm kick off. I was so anxious for the boks before the QF, i didnt know what to do with myself. I ended up spending the whole day on the shooting range, making noise to drown out the voices in my head. And then an hour before the game i started drinking klippies. That also helped. But not for long... man that game gave me heart palpitations
The way to pour a proper branna is 50ml brandy, 200ml coke in a beer glass with lots of ice. Brandy is made from grapes, sweeter than bourbon. In afrikaans its called brandewyn which means burned (cooked) wine, essentially distilled white wine.
We only need 32 people to start watching Tony's video on repeat (24hrs a day) for the next 11 days to guarantee the tattoo :P It's closer than Tony thinks. Lets get those cheeks trembling

thanks for the chat guys - but i have to respond directly to the comment that Fiji vs England was a high quality game of rugby. It became tight near the end, but without looking at stats, my gut feeling during that game was that the error rate was thru the roof. In particular from Fiji in the 20 minutes after halftime, it was excruciating viewing. Having said that, I was thrilled with their comeback, but overall I felt they could have done so much better. and would have taken the Poms with just a small increase in their performance. Maybe an unfair comparison with NZL v IRE I saw just a few hours earlier, but there was a markedly different level of accuracy. Now i think of it, the WAL v ARG was a similarly messy affair. Huge gap between the quality of QFs 1&3 and QF 2&4 - we all know why. Looking to semis - we can only be hopeful that "its all on the day" comes to fruition and we get 2 more exciting and worthy WC knockout contests.

I was sitting there yelling at the Ref because he had his French jersey on, when I heard the French complaining I was WTF. So the ref was probably shite but evenly. The Boks got that through being epic enough to match France, and a blessing from the rugby gods. It could have gone either way, and I am sympathetic to the French, they must be devastated.
to be honest when i was watching i was screaming for sexton to be taken off. No doubting he is a great player but he was walking for the last 10 mins. Farrell really should have thrown caution to the wind and brought on crowley, it may have made no difference in the end but 3 points were useless so the only way was to score a try and fresh legs were needed
Not sad at all for France or Ireland. You need a champion's attitude to become a champion. Du Pont showed that he was a poor sportsman and Johnny has always been. Same reason Owen will never lift the WWE
I'll never go to or watch another Rugby game if England get to the final. World Rugby have screwed up the draws, and did you notice how Bill Beaumont was laughing and joking with the Prince of Wales at the Wales v. Argentina game. Its great to see such impartiality from the Chairman of World Rugby. Well done Bill, you had your photograph taken with Royalty, perhaps now you could step aside and let competent people run the organisation.
I'm overjoyed that the Irish failed the quarter final hurdle yet again. I do feel a bit bad for the French, but I think their long term rugby trajectory looks very good.
I would recommend Klippies, ice and then coke. With the sugar tax here in SA I dont drink anything with less sugar so nothing smaller than 1 ltr Cokes.
This is what World Rugby needed. Classic battles, beautifully crafted, played with intensity. Great weekend and the best rugby I’ve ever seen played.

Came for the rugby chat, stayed for tony fucking off to get glasses.
The French props were just standing waiting to be tackled at the end of the game.
11:36 lmao 😂😂😂😂 that made me laugh
I was sitting there yelling at the Ref because he had his French jersey on, when I heard the French complaining I was WTF. So the ref was probably shite but evenly. The Boks got that through being epic enough to match France, and a blessing from the rugby gods.
It could have gone either way, and I am sympathetic to the French, they must be devastated.
The Klipdrift part was a nice surprise, I'm not much of a brandy drinker though.
Adding ice to whisky is also a case for concern!
to be honest when i was watching i was screaming for sexton to be taken off. No doubting he is a great player but he was walking for the last 10 mins. Farrell really should have thrown caution to the wind and brought on crowley, it may have made no difference in the end but 3 points were useless so the only way was to score a try and fresh legs were needed
How many times did Ireland turn down points?
that yellow card for smith fired him up. he came back and proved that. top of the line
Not sad at all for France or Ireland. You need a champion's attitude to become a champion. Du Pont showed that he was a poor sportsman and Johnny has always been. Same reason Owen will never lift the WWE
I have a feeling that England will have their best game of the year against a recovering SA and then fail to fire a shot against NZ in the final.
Stranger things have happened!
I'm overjoyed that the Irish failed the quarter final hurdle yet again. I do feel a bit bad for the French, but I think their long term rugby trajectory looks very good.
Ice with brandy and coke is a must!
That's not much Klippies left - where should I send the next bottle to? 🇿🇦
Couldn’t find Long Dong on Taobao - not sure what that implies for the geopolitical situation
If Eben stands upright he wont hit anyones head. Their heads will hit his stomach
Lol the Klippies lekker boys
Yes boys Klippies and coke yes you need ice. Also known as a Kraaifontein Cocktail. Jérôme Garcès reffed 2019 final
I would recommend Klippies, ice and then coke. With the sugar tax here in SA I dont drink anything with less sugar so nothing smaller than 1 ltr Cokes.
Lots of Ice...double shot of klippies then top it off with coke 🤤
Hope you boy's enjoyed your Long Dong's!! All Blacks all the way baby!!
Can’t bring myself to support New Zealand they’ve hurt us too many times.
All in with South Africa I guess
I'm still salty from our RWC2019 exit angainst the Roses 😂
klippies and coke. you guys get a free man card!
Try KWV 5 year as a easy drink with coke or ginger ale and of course on ice. and not too much coke, need to have a proper drink of brandy.
