ABs look like they'd be better balanced with Finau @6, Ardie @7 & Sititi @8 with Barrett & Tuipulotu (ahead of Vaai) in the 2nd row & Roigard @9 ahead of Ratima.
The penalties for tackling off the ball, I believe were constructed and were in reality obstruction. The english players took out the AB on the inside. It drew the penalty incorrectly because the law says the defense can hold their line. I think the line out fell apart because Patrick came in and Amua had not worked with him much. He will improve that quickly. Nothing better than beating the english by one point in Fortress Twickers! Or two. Or in marler's case Scratch anyone else's balls!
Put it out there wins.....Ireland, England, Wales, France and a toss up at a windy, cold, wet Murrayfield, Scotland are due a win 2002,and 2010 last wins against the Saffas...that would be the upset ....but would not be shocked either

Most of those penalties we copped for taking the man off the ball would've been called back for obstruction if they had led to tries. I swear they thing every other int team is owed reparations from the all blacks because we smashed the world for over a decade non stop
Quick thought, could England's bench have been weird because Borthwick was determined to get Ford some ga... time? That would explain subbing Smith off also. If that was the plan, disnt work out too well.
Yea agree with Tony on caleb Clarke. He was there with his arm out before the pass was thrown - which to me makes it a bad pass. Why reward a bad pass? Caleb has a right to be there doesn't he? But yea always going to be a penalty currently. Glad it wasn't more
New Zealand has way more talent than England. New Zealand has a bunch of players that scare you with their skills and athleticism. England, on the other hand, will always be a tough out because they are always extremely well coached and tactically very sound. They just don't have the athleticism to get over the hump against teams like New Zealand and South Africa - and, recently, you can throw Ireland and France in there, as well.
AB's would be better starting with Plummer rather than D-Mac, Cody Taylor's a big miss as is BB, hard to see AB's winning on Friday but it's not impossible

I can assure you no matter how about the situation is no one in Ireland will ever cry into a Guinness and bring that beautiful drink
"He's a bit of a magic player" - LOL - that quip was instantaneous!!! Colour me impressed!
I was at the game at Murrayfield at the weekend. Was warm after 12 pints, but before that was 9 degrees or so
First and only home game against a top 5 team this year for Ireland
Savea and Barrett both hit Angus up around the obstruction. Every team it led to a penalty bar one that I can remember
Got yous on while installing new marble bar tops at the bugalow 8 Sydney wharf. Boyz are cracking up lol
I'd pay money to see Tony go in for a sparring session at your sponsor's Boxing Gym.
One of these days 😁
Your aunt must be stoked to get a mention on your podcast🤩
Delighted I'm sure 😅
51:59 No Tony. Ireland first did the figure of 8 formation in Chicago in 2016, and they famously didn't lose that game
There was no width on the passes in the ENG backline...short passes up the middle.

Did Ireland not do the 8 in response to the haka at soldier field in Chicago? The first game they beat them
They did the 8 was in memory of Anthony Foley RIP who died earlier in the season...nothing to do with Haka opposition...it was an Irish tribute
The older I get, the more I enjoy you two😅

That's a good use of time man! I do the same thing
Sititi was born to play this game 🔥like father like son oh and sititi did play against south africa in the 2nd match blackadder was injured.
