7:39 It would be cool if this game had lock-on technology with Forces, which would allow it to use whatever Avatar your Forces Save File has at the time.
I do have 1 criticism with the Infinite boss idea that’s mainly because Generations Sonic CAN’T beat Infinite. Keep in mind that Infinite defeated Sonic in Forces twice, and Sonic was stronger in Forces than he was in Generations. So realistically if Generations Sonic fought Infinite, he’d get crushed. Same applies to Giganto who is so tough that Sonic needed to turn into Super Sonic to beat him so base Sonic in Generations doesn’t have a shot at beating Giganto. The Deadly 6 would have been the better choice
If we get DLC for a Fourth Era then I would like it to be: Frozen Factory (Lost World) Mirage Saloon (Mania) Cyber Station (Superstars) Rival: Deadly Six (Lost World) Boss: Mirage Express (Murder of Sonic) I Would also like for Shadow to have his own expansion: Black Comet (Shadow) Shourd Forest (Black Knight) Nightmare Maze (Dream Team) Boss: Infinite
• Post-Modern Era (named after the philosophical ideology and as the era literally set after what Generations dubs the Modern Era [06, Unleashed and Colours]). Honeycomb Highway - Sonic Lost World [saves Orbot & Cubot] (Drill for Classic, Eagle for Modern) - Most original theme from the game and represents the bubbly over-saturated presentation the best. Classic's version would take key design inspiration from the beehive levels from DKC2, while Modern's version would take major inspiration from Honey-hive Galaxy. Null Space - Sonic Forces {w/ elements of Capital City and Metropolitan Highway} [saves the Wolf Rookie] (Burst for Classic, Void for Modern) - I know it's another city stage in a game that already has 4 other cities, but a super-clean futuristic metropolis under attack from Null Space pockets and freaky Phantom Ruby illusions would really make it stand out amongst the rest. Classic's version will mostly take inspiration from Star Light Zone and Route 99 from Sonic 1 and Advance 3 respectively, since Classic Sonic never got his own level from Forces' Metropolis area. As for Act 1's music, it'd be a Classic-styled remix of Metropolitan Highway. Modern's Null Space will finally utilize its namesake and make the Null Space void section at the beginning not only have some actual level design but also make it occupy around 35% of the overall level length. Once out of the void, the stage takes more emphasis from Metro Highway's background artillery and Capital City's Phantom Infinite abominations distorting and decimating your surroundings and trying to throw you off, plus focusing a bit on the city ground levels by having Sonic venturing into subterranean subways like in Zero Gravity's 80s Boulevard to temporarily escape from the forces outside. Kronos Island - Sonic Frontiers [saves Sage] - Much like Null Space, this seems like a redundant pick at first considering it's yet again another beginning stage and a nature-themed one at that, but in contrast with the vibrant landscapes and audio of Green Hill and Seaside Hill its somber melancholy music and visuals will make sure it sticks out from them. Classic's Kronos Island will play out mostly like Marble Zone, Aquatic Ruin and Marble Garden, exploring both on land and the underground ruins of the Ancients' structures through catacombs and sky-high temples, as the sky gradually changes from gloomy grey at the start to a deep sunset by the end for both versions. Modern's Kronos Island is where this stage truly shines though, taking key aspects not just from Frontiers' own location redesigned in the more linear action-packed structure of Boost Sonic, but also the foggy areas of Misty Lake and huge expanses of Titanic Plains from Black Knight. The final section will have Sonic racing up along Asura's arms and attacking the central spire 3 times in order to beat the level. Rival Fight - Infinite (Sonic Forces) - Basically what ZayZaz said. Boss Fight - Giganto (Sonic Frontiers) - Basically what ZayZaz said.
I just really hope we just get an out right DLC line like in Frontiers. Also I don't it being free or costing money with mean anything, as this was an awesome game
I like the idea to have a fight against Infinite. But how would that work narratively since "Sonic Forces" is the first time Sonic met Infinite, which if put in Generations would be a place in the future that you would have to write around?
Well it'd work just fine. Infinite is from the future, he knows Sonic but Sonic doesn't know him. Mephiles knows Shadow but Shadow doesn't know him, and that boss fight works perfectly.
@@milesfernando The reason it worked with Mephiles is because that he along with the whole story of Sonic 06 got erased from the time line (as to how they are brought back in white space is never properly explained).
I'm sure this game will get a lot of updates, so hopefully new levels or bosses will come, though in the back of my mind, I don't expect this to happen. Still will never surpass Frontiers for me though!
Personally for this next gen era since Shadow got Forces and weirdly enough Frontiers I would've at least said for Sonic Mania, Lost World, and Boom (as crappy as Sonic Boom is if they can take a level from Sonic '06 and make it better then they can do it again) but I wouldn't know what they would choose for inspiration id just say the friend for that Level would obviously be Sticks and I'm only bringing up Sticks being in the cause in Frontiers apparently Sticks is part Modern Sonic world and technically get representation from every game that out after the original Generations in one way or another
@@skycaboose I feel like Boom could get a faithful stage. Like you said, if Crisis City and Sunset Heights can be properly brought back, then boom could get the same treatment Also I would like to see Sticks again, despite the mixed reception
@ZayZaz though if they did bring back Sticks her design would be altered even if Slightly to fit more with Modern Sonic instead of Boom's attempt to make Sonic and co older so more extra little quills and bandages everywhere and I got agree Infinite being the Rival battle for that era would be great (low key besides hoping for this imaginary DLC to become real also kinda hoping for the Soap Shoes to return in an update with all Sega leaning Super hard this year into the SA2 Nostalgia)
Ngl, I would use Main Series Sticks for the Lost World Level. Since Sonic Boom is very important for the 2010s era of Sonic, and Sticks is canon to the main series. Main Series Sticks did kinda also day view in Sonic Runners which is heavily based on Sonic Lost World, so it makes sense.
I actually had an idea similar to this, but it'd be in the form of several DLC packs. we'd have a 'Modern pack' with levels from Lost World, Forces and Frontiers, but also a 'Classic pack' with levels from CD, Mania and Superstars. CD never got a proper level and you didn't mention Superstars, so that makes an even three for both packs. We'd also get a 'Shadow pack' with three levels for Shadow's campaign. I didn't use any characters that were already used in Shadow's game, like Big. There'd also only be one boss fight each pack, to focus on quality. Classic Pack: CD: Collision Chaos (Pinball mechanics) Mania: Press Garden (Ice level which generations was missing) Superstars: Cyber Station (Very unique aesthetic, and the cyber transformations could make a fun gimmick) Boss: Black Dragon (which I'd actually have Modern Sonic fight) Characters Saved: Mighty, Ray, Trip (Mighty is for CD because in Chaotix, he also fights Metal Sonic.) Modern Pack- Lost World: Desert Ruins (For all the reasons you had in video) Forces: Metropolis (Gorgeous aesthetically, also could have Infinite messing with the stage like in Capital City) Frontiers: Kronos Island (Could pull in elements from Rhea and Ouranos as well) Boss: Zavok (As a reverse, this is Classic Sonic's fight) Characters Saved: Marine, Forces Avatar, Sage (Marine is here for no reason other than I think she should be acknowledged more) Shadow Pack- Shadow '05: GUN Fortress (really weird there wasn't a level from this game in the first place) Black Knight: Shrouded Forest (It's where Lancelot places his sword later in the plot of Black Knight) Colors: Asteroid Coaster (Colors deserves a redemption level after how disappointing planet wisp was) Boss: Infinite (Shadow should get to kick him the face) Character Cameo: Abraham Tower, Lancelot, Sonic (given this would be a Shadow level, we could actually have Sonic show up and comment on the things in Shadow's side, like the other characters in his campaign do)
In my opinion, we’ve already went through what would’ve been Gens’ 4th era of games and are currently in its 5th era. The games I would pick for the 4th era are Lost World, Mania, and Forces. While the 5th era features Frontiers, Superstars, and whatever the next game is.
You could maybe combine the Eagle wisp with the boost to make it really fast and exhilarating. Besides, it’s kinda weird to feature a Lost World level and wisps for Classic Sonic, but not allow you to use any of the new wisps from Lost World.
6:39 why is eggman empire fortress in this section. Mortar canyon is one of the better designed stages in forces and could also mix final judgment in there for act 2 and add imperial tower for the 2d sectioals. For act 1 you could take parts of iron fortress but improve them. For example delete the autoscroller add some more parhs but keep the rocket boxes and the circular platforms. Its also a unique environment so i think it would make sense. Mystic junge is a better pick but i think that eggman empire fortress has a chance.

Yeah, it would be nice if Infinite actually gets to be a good villain. He has an awesome design and his English voice actor Liam O'Brien and his Japanese voice actor Takashi Kondō both do a great job of voicing him. Infinite also has cool abilities.
