Indian sidein ladakh batalik Aryan valley side, dras, kargil In Kashmir gurez valley, bandipura, kulhan ,kangan ,gutlibagh In Jammu chanderkot Salam ga juu themos kargilo
Wow, as someone who speaks Tibetan, Hindi (which has many Persian loan words, which also find their way into Purgi), and Hebrew (a Semitic language like Arabic, which also has influenced Purgi), it is interesting how much of Purgi I can understand.
For information of curious people ladakh has a population of about 3 lakh(300 thousand) and Shina or Dardic speakers comprise only about 20000 thousand which is around 6-7% in ladakh there are two districts one Leh and other Kargil and has almost equal population. Shina speakers are mostly found in Kargil district and very less in Leh district even in kargil district shina speakers make up only around 10% of the population. Of the more than half a dozens Tehsils of kargil only one that is Drass has a Shina majority rest of the Tehsils including Kargil city proper has 0% of shina speakers almost 95-99% of shina speakers in kargil are found in Drass Tehsil rest of kargil is purely Balti-Purgi speaking which is a dialect of Tibetan..
But poyen kargil baroo is shina and Sanskrit word,s cause shina people also live their back in a day and first setteled in kargil but not able to protect their languge and mixed with Tibetan tribe who setteled after them . Poyen in sanskrit and Kashmir mean,s water
@basharatali9946 who speaks balti in kargil ? Whole ladakh have 2 to 3 percent balti purgi 70 to 80 percent is purgi and 30 to 20 percent shina in kargil city

Amazing upload tyvm. I'm not a language purist by any means but the massive amount of loanwords kind of ruined the experience of listening to such a rare language like Purgi a little. I felt like I knew every other word. Still very interesting! Glad to see this channel is still alive and well!
I think that might be becuase he's talking about linguistic stuff, which led him to use "language" and "sino-tibetan" a lot. I have a suspicion that if he was to talk about something else it wouldn't be so "loanword heavy", unless you meant some other loanwords I didn't catch
