Jeep Patriot 4x4 ABS Light, Rear Hub & Bearing Replacement

- JEEP PATRIOT 4x4 2010. I used my OBD2 scanner to get the codes related to the ABS System. I found the code C1043 for the Rear Left Wheel. Following a visual inspection, the Left Rear Hub & Bearing assembly including the Wheel Speed Sensor retainer was replaced. After the road test the ABS system worked fine.

Great video. To the point and shows the step by step removal that you performed. Pulling the parking brake assemble off, then heating up the area prior to removing the 4 bolts helps....

Je suis ne suis pas totalement objectif. J'ai un Jeep Patriot 2014 dont les roues arrières ne cessent de me causer des soucis.
Une petite question. Avez-vous un truc pour installer ces petits assemblages pine-ressort-coupelle des freins de stationnement?

The scanner shows the code on the jeep patriot C146B and the 4wd lights up, what could it be
The C146B trouble code could be caused by a defective Electronically Controlled Coupling (ECC) module or its solenoid. It could also be a defective electrical contact between the ECC module and the AWD Control Module. Or bad DATA transmission via the bus system.

What type of flame did you use, propane or MAP gas?
I do not remember since I use propane and MAP. I could have used any of those because MAP is around 6 to 7% hotter than propane.

can you just buy the retainer clips for the ABS sensor, or do they not sell them individually ?
I don't think so, I have never seen any on sale.
MTLCARGUY Yea It Sucks my Wheel Bearings are fine, but the retainer abs Clips are nonexistent because of the rust, just had to order two wheel bearings

Has anyone tried JB Weld or a 2-part epoxy to retain the sensors?
@@steverose2405 I did. It lasted less than 6 months (I actually didn't check whether it's my repair that failed, or if it's another wheel's electromagnetic connection that failed).
I will check that out shortly.

Désolé, je suis à ma retraite et je fais de la maintenance ou de la mécanique uniquement pour des membres de ma famille et certains amis. Si c’est le même problème de ‘sensor’, le travail peut être fait dans tous les garages de mécanique générale.

Can this cause no acceleration to not go past 30 mpg with the tracking control light going on at same time?
I guess you mean 30 mph ! It could be related, but, I would rely on OBD2 trouble codes or manufacturer trouble codes for a proper diagnostic. Some implausible position and/or signal readings can trigger a limp-in mode, e.g. : a pedal position signal related to a defective throttle position signal generates an implausible condition.
@@mtlcarguy yeah it turned out to be the rear abs sensor on the wheel bearing it rusted out created a shortage I changed the wheel bearing bc they didn’t sell it separately now the jerking has stopped .. so I guess for Jeep’s the rear abs can cause cars to jerk
@@pansaint2662 You might have to replace the other one in the future because of the rust.
