Never played RuneScape. The only MMO I’ve ever played was wow and ESO and I never stuck around for those games but this game is amazing. I’m having so much fun.
OMG i had to get 32/500 carpentry for a game changing spell 😭😭😭😭 gimme a break its in EARLY ACCESS 😂😂😂 the MMO/RS community is insane give the game a chance it gets updated daily. Im not saying its 10/10 but RSC was amazing and he fleshed that out into OSRS give him a shot with an INDIE dev team.
not amazing, but has a good foundation. Very hollow and meaningless grind rn but i believe Gower will pull through, definitely think a relase shouldve been pushed back with pvp and other systems implemented.
There's no depth to it. Every monster is exactly the same. The gear barely matters. There's no sense of progression. There's no goals to aim for. A lvl 0 fisher is catching the same fish as a lvl 500 fisher, just the name changed and it sells for a little more. I just got to act 4 and realized there's nothing to do and no reason to do anything other than to just do more of that thing. Killing stuff just to kill more stuff that drops the exact same stuff just with 2-3% better stats. Early access can only protect them so much. 10 years and the combat system is literally "click enemy. Wait. Enemy might drop random gear piece. Move to higher level enemy. Enemy might drop random slightly better gear piece." ad nauseum. There's no unique weapons or armor. There's no unique perks of any kind. Every enemy just swings at you the exact same way. There's no nuance.
Do you have any recommendations on what recipe to use to level up stonemason, blacksmithing and Bonewright? Ive been using granite to lvl stonemason to 28 but it feels so slow...
Can the weapons made be used by every episode combat? For example, I make a cryoknight weapon. Can I use it in episode 1 and episode 2, assuming I have the required level to weild it?
@@everlonggaming1966 as far as i know you cannot re-attune. You can however save unattuned gear for every episode and use the obelisk in that episode to attune the gear there
So saw someone mention it is easier to craft iron gear than stone, as they don't require the woodcutting skill. I checked and saw that iron smithing has four weapons which need wood and stone smithing has 7. This doesn't seem like the biggest issue, but I would say that if you wanted to craft every single weapon yes, it is easier as an iron smith. I am not sure why they would decide on this as a mechanic. Yes, it makes sense as there are a lot of hammers with big wooden handles. But for iron smith the bow is completely made of metal? Yeah, that just doesn't make sense to me I think they will need to rework this eventually and might as well make all the requirements even. Just different materials for each faction crafting specifically. Just thought I would share as I really didn't understand this choice.
On the other hand, more crafting options also means more opportunities for the "first-time XP Bonus" you get for crafting each one. Very helpful in leveling up to that level 20 threshold in the early levels.
I mean where do you even farm the Goat Horns... you say to look out for them, but not sure where to get them. Surely I can buy, but that's not efficient.
theres a vendor 2 rooms away from the boneworking station that sells horns and stuff But also in act 2 there are goat horns around the area that take like, lvl 4 gathering or something. Super easy to get early
your looking for the goblin sleeping area 3. From the abandoned mining cavern go south through narrow tunnel and follow the river to find the communal goblin area and go north.
each faction focuses on an element (though in reality you want weapons with other elements as well to deal with resists) but you basically have a weapon type faction focuses on as well as separate art in crafting. Each faction is strong in their main element and weak to one other element and is picked in episode 2.
My only complaint is that this makes nerfs player trading a good bit. I got a purple hammermage weapon as a guardian and couldn't find anybody that wanted it because they could all just make it themselves.
@@superleipoman I mean it is explained, each faction uses different equipment types and is strong and weak in 1 element. Quite simple, isnt too much depth to it.
If they had this armor and weapon crafting in Episode 1 and better materials in others episodes Game would do a lot better.. First and Second episode professions feel useless.. If they had this in ep1 and paywall materials instead I would be hooked. Now I'm already burned out by this mindless carpentry that's doesn't create useful items..
Yeah I've been grinding hard on carpentry to get to 32, which imo, is an incredibly high goal for an early-mid game quest with basically a mandatory reward. So many of the materials you can gather in Chapter 2 have no clear use or follow up, so they just end up getting sold for a few silver. If I had known earlier what would be needed for crafting in the future, it might have given a more clear goal to work towards instead of constant farming

yup, you just attune it to the oblisk
Is it better to focus ur faction profession or is it better to just train the combat skills for gear?
So will these crafted items only be usable in episode 3? Or can you craft for other episodes
No, they all need attunement. You can go to the Obelisk in any episode to get a weapon of that level for that specific episode.
a weapon works for whatever episode you attune it in
thank you guys!
So its safe to save a nonattumed set of gear to use when you change acts? Or can you reattune attuned gear you are currently using?

Yes you need premium to access episode 3.
why would I train these skills instead of just killing mobs that drop the weapons and also gain combat exp? @Graphic
Crafting is going to be huge later, when people can craft an inventory full of weapons in a matter of minutes.

You do get them and can train them but they are not as useful as the „main“ profession
