As the least common, that gives a false sense of security to those not already interested in rolling hammermage. Further bolstering the population disparity between Hammermage, and Cryoknight, which helps solidify that as a guardian, there will be more people for you to kill, than not. Meanwhile, the cryoknight is actually the worse class, because they will have the largest group of players who counter them while having the smallest group of players they are strong against.
@@TheMartianReport I went Hammermage mostly thinking of this for the pvp side when it is added it if matters at all. I knew I had not seen nearly as many Guardians as Cryoknights or Hammermages. Every day I check nearby players and it will be 5 or 6 of each Cryo and Hammer and maybe 1 or 2 Guardians. I also noticed that all the Cryoknights weapons turn gold for the perfect versions like the Captains sword in Hopeport. I saw that the Hammermages weapons get a gold glowing outline like the leader you speak to before joining. Which leads me to assume that we will be able to get armor which looks like the Cryoknight leader and Hammermage leader. I think both look sick which leads me to believe the Guardians could look decent end game as well. But we might not really know until someone hits the 400s in Armorcrafting lol. In nature, the roots of plants wriggle into tiny cracks in stones. As the plant grows and the roots/vines thicken, they split stones apart. This will be why plant beats rock based on the reasoning used on why cold beats plants. Plants like to be warm with their much needed water in liquid form. Rocks like to not be broken in pieces.
If they counter eachother in PvP Hammermage seems like the strongest choice because you will go neutral against your own very popular class and have an advantage against the other popular class in Cryoknight
@@newyou6210 But statically you will be less likely to come up against your weakness and mainly players prefer Hammer and Cryo. So, I am just curious if it will be more of a duel arena they implement first or more like the Wilderness where it all depends on who is waiting to mess you up lol. Either way I am looking forward to see what they do.
Nature is good against hammer age simply because how does the electrical current go through things that can’t absorb the shock? Think Pokémon grass vs electric
The ruffling of paper gave us both a giggle. Also I love idea hammer mages think they will be PVP gods only to be stopped by the chilled nature lovers. For errr reasons...
Selected Guardian, but it would've been nice to have gotten some good looking armor. Even just like animal skull helms would have given us some flair. Mages and Knights got the cool looking equipment.
The polished bone looks a lot better, but unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone who had it to show it off because there are genuinely pretty few guardians.
The special attacks will be cool and all, but I think it would also be neat if you got a little special effect when you hit an enemy with your preferred element. Nothing major, just a little spark of power, showing you're doing something. Thinking about it as I type this though, people might misunderstand that it should be doing more damage. We can't have nice things.
I went Guardian hoping it'll eventually be more ranged-based, plus hopefully being more of the support class for future bosses, and lastly hoping for some cool nature-y attack/spell animations. So basically... my decision is based purely off of hopeful future updates. Definitely wasn't going to go Cryo since it's just boring melee, and everyone else was going Hammermage so that made it less unique/appealing. I will admit, though, we look derpy as heck lol (even the icon looks like the jacksepticeye logo).
I think the special attacks might be the only thing that makes one class better than the other. I hope they make sure they are balanced otherwise older players will feel real crappy with their choice.
Cryoknight has an edge over the other two from a crafting perspective of weapons. You only need mining for cryoknights as where the other two need mining/gathering and woodcutting/carpentry to create the majority of their weapons. The few recipes that require poles as a cryoknight you can skip over and train with something that only requires metal ore.
Depends as a stonesmith yes I need wood cutting to make the weapons but there are those which only need stones. So I have been skipping wood cutting for now just to level stonesmith and mining. This will still require me to farm woodcutting for actually crafting the weapons but eh I like be hammer bonks lol
@@harrykellett2061 He excluded blacksmithing because he excluded the actual crafting skill for the weapons from all 3 classes and was only talking about what professions you need to train in order to train your class specific crafting skill.

I saw it as Frost DK, Druid and Paladin, and since I'm in a forest I went with druid. Easy as Also I imagine it will get reworked once they give these roles any actual meaning like magic etc.

So, the reason for Tempestae being weak to Arborae, or rather not effective, is because wood is a poor conductor of electricity. Likewise, bones are also not good conductors when outside of the body. Not the official reason, but this is the best I can come up with. Also guardian is best. Wearing the bones of our fallen enemies? Sounds badass to me.
Yeah I maybe could have curated it a bit better but we get polished bone and stuff later on, and then bone weapons look a bit better, but it is true that we don't really know what we are
i simply chose cryoknight because it reminded me so much of the lich king, Glad to see u represent it in the video also. Otherwise, yes, my choice would be hammer mage
I really want to progress with the story, but I just can't decide which I want so even at over 200 levels I'm still factionless lol. I wish we could just continue on with the main story without choosing a faction.
same here, im waiting on more information about the special attacks and things to come out before making my selection. as of this writing im factionless at level 350 lol. I really can't decide tbh so im hoping when the special attacks come out I can make that choice. Until then, im just leveling up the professions I have access to, plenty to do there :p

Plant roots get into tiny cracks or seems in stone then rip the stone apart as the plant grows more big. I'll bet my hammer that's the reasoning.

Do you have to make a choice or is it hindering the questline if you don't? Because i'd rather just be neutral.
You have to make a choice to proceed the main story and you get capped at Level 50 on combat skills otherwise.

new chapters/episodes might bring more factions and abilities
