- Wood turned Bog Oak, classified by Mike Holt as Stone Age Wood. This piece was particularly warped and twisted and difficult to decide what to do with. A challenging woodturning project.

It’s the vision you have from from the start with a “lump of wood” to the completed work of art that makes all your pieces.
Rotating the finished piece really does complete the package.

Excellent vision for a piece of cracked and twisted old bog oak. I was completely confused as to what you were doing until the end when you rotated it. Then...ta-da! The masterpiece revealed itself.

Wow! I am constantly amazed at the beauty of bog oak. It is truly beautiful with the sanding and finishing completed.
Then there is your creativity that you have applied to the raw wood. Your twist on how to manipulate and shape the wood into these artistic, structural designs is far beyond my comprehension. Yet as I watch your process I’m thinking “Oh, sure, that will work.” Well done my friend. Well done.
