  • A few more additions to the backyard orchard Rolinia Deliciosa, Edgar’s Baby Dragon Fruit and Rose Apple. I also wanted to make a correction to my previously uploaded video regarding the fruiting cycle of the Blue Lilly Pilly.

I too wish I had more room for more trees. The growing zone in our area is well suited for a large selection for fruit trees. Finding room for them is a challenge, so we do the best we can. I wish you the best of luck with your gardening and thank you for visiting!

I saw some of your other videos and saw that you were in SD, my next question is why do you prefer to purchase trees from Florida when you can purchase those trees locally and they are already acclimated to the local weather?

I do prefer to buy trees locally for the very reason you mentioned, already acclimated. When buying trees my first choice is always a local nursery, unfortunately; they don’t always carry the specific variety I am looking for. Sometimes the only place I've been able to find them is online, and even then I’ll try nurseries within CA so as to reduce potential long distance shipping damage. Thank you for your comment.

I’ve bought from Florida as well but in my opinion the trees take a year or so to accumulate so I prefer local or from seed. I live in East SD and started my high density food forest earlier this year
