Just found this. Was about to drop another $100+ and go back to Turtle Beach. While I hate how easily they seem to break, I have never had an issue with their sound quality (Stealth 400, 600, 700 G1 & G2). The settings you posted under custom actually made playing PvP in a FPS (Destiny) enjoyable again.
My turtle beach kept disconnecting. I have a brand new box of them that i never open. They sent replacement about 3 or 4 times in one year. The last time they sent me a replacement, I bought these arctis 7p novas and haven't enjoyed these things yet. Does anybody have recommendations on headsets to play warzone. Btw I think these headsets are made for PC gaming, not console.
wow, it's perfect, i tested it with gameplay of tlou2, compared to smiley, yours brings out more noises in the game, congratulations, i will also try it on ps5, immersion boost is slightly better
The immersion boost is perfect, all the other settings I have tried were either too high pitched or too flat, this one however is amazing! Thank you stranger!
Cant remember if I commented but im glad i found your video because out of the box, they sound less beefy. But I love the soft headband and light weight of them so much that I was sure I just needed to adjust the settings. (Some people may not even realize there's a software to tweak it).

I felt I researched the headset thoroughly, but would have had second thoughts had I known about the "Smiley" EQ. I tend to believe what you said about it being a bit rushed in reference to that "Smiley" EQ, but I still do love the headphones, and do now more because of your tutorial. Thanks again! I liked/subscribed. Today is 12/27/2022 and I updated the firmware - still has the same weird EQ presets, just FYI.

@@mikashenmunsamy9397 yeah I noticed when you're in a ps5 party it lowers it automatically and you can tune it within party settings as well to hear the party or game more. I still keep mine max just to hear warzone footsteps 🤣 I have the lower frequency boosted so footsteps and gunshots I can hear basically 100m away
Wish this headset came with some eq buttons. It’d save a lot of hassle for those who switch games often. One thing my old Logitech headset got right was the ability to save 4 equalizer presets. Kinda surprised the “smiley” eq isn’t preprogrammed out of the box as the headset sounds kinda bad when everything’s flat.
Man, I just got a pair that came and tried them out last night.. They sound so bad out of the box! I could barely understand my friend in chat, every sound was muffled and blended together. Do you recommend the smiley one for most games?
@@corywertz9268 old comment, but I’ve been using a slightly modified “smiley” for universal listening (music, games, shows). If you want to tweak the settings for fps games or such and go back and forth these headphones aren’t recommended.. I like loud sounds and good highs and lows and you can tweak the eq for just that.
My headset won’t even show up on the engine tab, how do I connect it? I have the dongle connected to my MacBook and the headset connected as well but no headset to choose from

So I just used the one at 9:29 loaded my game played solo fortune keep. I got 13 kills and won. I could clearly hear all the footsteps, people coughing in gas, and it was easy to tell where they were coming from. After playing I agree with you saying if you don’t want to enjoy your audio at all use that setting 😂😂. It really is bad. But you sure can hear the footsteps. I think I’m going to try the sonar with the FPS footsteps to see how that is. How do you save the sonar settings to your headset though?

The only flaw I find is that when I get a new story game like god if war , I have to go on the pc to switch eq settings . Otherwise these are some of the best headsets I have owned . The other premium one being turtle beach.

What is the sidetone like? No heatset reviews spend enough time on this. This is THEE most important feature to me and many others. I don't want to feel like I'm deaf. So many headsets sidetone is far too low. I want it loud and be able to go down from there. How are these?
I don't touch on sidetones when it's dequate. At the end of the day sidetone = being able to hear yourself clearly, and you def get that from this headset

@@blak_dice5514 I didn’t like it to be honest. Yes, you can hear the footsteps but the overall sound is awful. The techne has some good EQ settings that work perfect for me. Of course sound is different for everyone..

When I plug my headset on PC with EQ settings where I want them. The sound and volume are amazing, but as soon as I use them for music on my phone or for gaming on my ps5, the volume is low, and the EQ settings are definitely not set as they are when on my pc...

By the looks of it this headset would be top tier for siege. you can customize it so many different ways for your preference , just look up different videos for different builds (for different games)

The Sonar feature is a little finicky I'd avoid it for the time being, I think it may be useful for streaming since it seems like it has a chat mix situation going on, and for using your headset with PC, but outside of that I don't really see much of a benefit from it
Anyone got solution for this --> PS5 Defaulting sound to headset (SteelSeries 7P+) Looking for a solution to when I turn the playstation on from cold boot or rest mode. Both the main sound and Microphone sound is set to my headset (which isnt even turned on). So everytime I boot up I have to go into settings to switch to TV sound and Mic to controller. I've tried the 7+ but I'd rather have the side tone wheel instead of the game / chat since you can only adjust it in PS settings. My headset battle is between Blackshark V2 Pro wireless and Arctis 7P+. I've went through so many before landing on those two.
I just bought the Arctis 7P+ and I'm only using it with the PS5. I've read that the Engine Sonar settings (not the regular Engine EQ settings like in the video here) only work when using the 7P+ with a PC. Can anybody confirm that? Thanks in advance.

I feel like my steelseries 7p plus are super quiet even at max volume on the side wheel

Those sound like unique glitches you may need to contact SteelSeries about that

@@Emty1 depends which game, look up if your game supports Tempest 3D audio if yes then on if no then let the game emulate its own surround sound.

So I Bought the arctis nova 7 wireless. When I shut off the headset I can't hear my soud from TV speakers do I need to unplug dongle every time?

Anyone got solution for this --> PS5 Defaulting sound to headset (SteelSeries 7P+)
Looking for a solution to when I turn the playstation on from cold boot or rest mode. Both the main sound and Microphone sound is set to my headset (which isnt even turned on). So everytime I boot up I have to go into settings to switch to TV sound and Mic to controller. Wondered if anyone knows a fix for thIs
do these presets work for ps5?

Can you adjust the side tone directly from the headset on Arctis 7p on PS5? I've heard you have to adjust in PS settings only.
Yes there's a sidetone scroll wheel on the right ear cup
@@picsoleated Thanks bud. Black version should be arriving on Monday, can't wait to try it. I've tried the 7+ but I'd rather have the side tone wheel instead of the game / chat since you can only adjust it in PS settings.
My headset battle is between Blackshark V2 Pro wireless and Arctis 7P+. I've went through so many before landing on those two.
Confirming that you can adjust side tone directly on a headset on PS5.
How you guys use it at the PS5? At Rainbow Six Siege i use 3D Audio, DTS and the EQ from this guy it is really good for me...

I just bought the Arctis 7P+ and I'm only using it with the PS5. I've read that the Engine Sonar settings (not the regular Engine EQ settings like in the video here) only work when using the 7P+ with a PC. Can anybody confirm that? Thanks in advance.
I used these settings with my ps5 and definitely hear the difference
