      Why you menton turtlebeach ? The stealth 700 Gen 2 are awesome, i would even say they better than the 7p by a little.. And yes i own both so i know what im saying..

    • @djm24able
      @djm24able 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@djdomxx I gotta respectfully disagree on that one, the only area I would say stealth 700 gen 2 beat out 7P or 7P-+ is in durability over time far as staying in one piece. The hinges on steel series are definitely a weak spot. But every single area far as performance I’ve gotta say steel series beats them especially when it comes to directional hearing.. footsteps, gunshots etc. as the stealth 700, when you make a good eq adjustment geared towards fps on the 7P the directional audio is absolutely of this world! I’m guessing since you have adjusted the turtle beaches on your phone app you also have the engine app for your pc to tune in your steel series headsets??

    Definitely keeping my 7P's as I can use them for pretty much everything except Xbox wireless. However, for your issue on the bass, you can download the software on your PC and switch to "Immersion" mode which will enhance the bass and have some more separation. Either way, I'm glad you covered this and convinced me to stay with my go to headset, the 7P 👍🏻

    • @fayrvii2687
      @fayrvii2687 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have to download that preset separately? I plugged in my 7p+’s and the only presets on the gg software were smiley, bass boost, focus, flat and custom. I can’t find immersion or performance.

    I had the Arctis 9 wireless headset but the mute/unmute button broke on me. I’m not really sure why but it happened when I went to mute my mic. I literally had to hold the button down for it to unmute and for me to talk to my friends lol. I went ahead and ordered the Arctis 7P+ because the Arctis 7P is currently sold out. I can’t wait to receive them. I ended up getting the 7P+ for $158! I love how you got straight to the point and knew everything about the headset you were reviewing. Great video! :D

    I bought the steel series 7P for my ps4 after listening to you back two weeks ago and I’m pretty dang happy with them! But you start asking over 150 $ for a set of headphones it needs to be noticeably different than the past headphones you did sell for $150! I charge my headset after the light in the headset has been yellow for two days, an extra 4-6 hours battery life couldn’t mean less to me lol. Make the eq adjustable with older software on the macs and windows and them we will talk ;).

    I'm glad you mentioned the lack of bass! I watched a number of reviews including yours of the arctis 7x and heard so much about how they sounded so great and the bass was so natural. I bought them and returned them soon after because they didn't have any bass. Many people on message boards agreed too.
    The headset was very comfortable, but they didn't have any bass. I tried them with sea of thieves and they didn't have any punch when I fired the cannons. Same when shooting the shotgun in halo. Very disappointing bass.
    I hope more reviewers mention the lack of bass so steelseries will address it when they release new headphones.

      @JodyAncar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@z3ro7o I heard that about the sound too. It could have been stronger when I used it, but I also wouldn't have had it much louder because I wouldn't want to risk damaging my hearing. But, judging where the dial was in respect to the sound, it was closer to being fully on than mute and it wasn't blasting.
      I hope steelseries improves their sound because the headset was very comfortable. I would like for them to improve the sound as we discussed, but I'm not sure I'll hold my breath because so many people praise it which is why I gave it a shot. I'd also like for them and all headset manufacturers to allow you to adjust the eq on a console. A few other things too such as USB c and Bluetooth and others.
      We'll see. I just wish I knew when the next generation of headsets were going to come out. I just fairly recently became interested in purchasing one, but it seems like they don't release much information and the headsets just appear when they're ready

After so many reviews, watching The Techne a lot, back and forth, I think this is my answer. I found the RIG some time ago, never heard of them before, but I like how they look like, references are promising, they are wireless (just without blue-tooth), should have immersive sound. Plus I am also after high quality bass (not like destroying ears and head, hehe). And they are certified by Gaming awards, which enhances my feeling about them.

      For me personally, the default sound, right out of the box is great, didn't change anything.
      That said, sound is subjective, you have to try it for yourself, and I'm no audiophile either so take my opinion as just that. Worst case scenario you don't like it and return it.
      But I definitely like the headset and the default sound. Like techne said, the bass is not earth shattering but it is there and it is good, after all how much bass do you really need, but to each their own. And I love the slim and simplistic design.
      I wasn't a fan of the head band either at first, but after giving it a chance, I have no regrets, so I bought the 7p's as well. Hope this helps.

    The getting-straight-to-the-point part 's really nice and convenient (bought the 7P 5 months ago), though I ended up watching the whole review 'coz I love the content 💯
    The usb-c is a nice feature especially for someone who's always on-the-go and need a quick recharge before they leave. Personally, it's not worth the upgrade since I have not reached the point where my battery dies during usage.
    I did notice the logo color on the ski band went from 7P's blue over white to white over black and yes, the 7P also has that beep in every mute/unmute.

    I ordered the blackshark v2 pros and Hyperx alpha wireless and both were decent sounding. I would say the Hyperx were better overall but both of their wireless dongles conflicted badly with my wireless internet connection. The Hyperx being noticeably worse. I bought these to compare the two and first off the comfort on these are so much better than the former headsets. Mid clarity for footsteps on competitive gaming were much better. I would say the bass is slightly lacking but they have the ps5 3D audio and if your using these for likes of warzone/ rainbow 6 siege. These are the headphones. Also the dongle does not effect my wireless connection. Overall very happy and would definitely recommend them.

    This is so interesting. I feel like they could have and should have just released the 7P+ why did they even bother with the 7P? There is no new tech in the 7P+ so why didn't they just make it that originally? I'd say yes $20 more is worth it if I didn't already have the 7P I'd choose that with it's small upgrades

    These are on deal at the moment. I was looking at Razor Barracuda X as a budget all rounder. I like the plain black stealth look but I'm wondering for anyone who's tried both is this worth the extra money. Both are reduced. 65 for Razor, 130 for 7p+. This is mainly for PS5 and some PC gaming when I'm not at my main sound system.
