    If you’re using store-bought stock keep in mind how much salt is going into the pot. People often forget that the whole point of a ham is it adds tons of flavor and salt to the broth. And if you use store-bought broth that also adds salt, so you probably won’t need to add any additional salt. I would save all salting till the very end.

    Jesus Christ you have to be a speed reader to follow that one, poor upload and chilli in Split Pea soup no thanks.

    Looks good will make but not add salt ham is loaded with salt already no need for extra salt.

    I Add in some diced potatoes in my soup also and when its done I use my Imergin stick hand blender to blend the soup which makes it much thicker, This can be done right in the slow cooker pot Thanks for sharing etc

      Or use dried potato flakes. It seems so wrong, but it thickens right up and tastes just as delicious!

    Substitute veg broth, sweet potatoes& black olives for a vegan pepitoes yummy vegan.brewers yeast.

    I add in the beans on the bottom of the pot because they take the longest to cook etc

    Are these peas, almost the same as dry split peas in a package? Looks delicious

    I like to instant pot the ham hocks then use that liquid after pulling the meat off. I can keep the big fatty pieces from getting into the mix that way. And potato flakes if it needs to thicken (but I only do that after it has sat overnight because it often thickens up more than you would think.
