The Sun Wukong Shrine honoring the Monkey King is small and tucked away in a Chinatown shophouse. Its significance is only given away by the colorful rooftop that looks slightly out of place.
The Tai Sia Huk Chou Shrine, or Sun Wukong Shrine honors the mythical Monkey King, a famous character of Chinese mythology and one of the most popular characters of the 16th century novel "Journey to the West".
