*Important Safety Note*
Safety is my number 1 priority and concern while operating Tesla's FSD Beta software and at no point have I, nor will I subject customers to unnecessary risk. I am in full control, take over regularly, and I am extremely vigilant and cautious at all times. Furthermore, I do not subject anyone to Self Driving features that are uncomfortable or request me not to use it.
-Tesla's FSD system is classified as a level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). It is not fully autonomous and I remain in control at all times. There is nothing illegal or concerning about my operation of FSD on Rideshare Drives.
-I am legally protected to record inside my own personal vehicle while on the job and do attain consent for individuals fully featured in my videos. The rest are blurred out with identifiers censored or cut from the videos entirely.

They should have an option to make FSD verbally announce each driving decision in the same way turn-by-turn navigation talks. "Changing lanes", "braking for stop sign", "turn right on red", "pausing for pedestrian", etc.

Excellent video and chat your guest is great, I think when all the extra data from the free month is processed, I think another free month will be offered as it accelerates data collection massively.
Most waited for feature for me is the 3 point turn! ( use of reverse gear ).

Found something out rather interesting at the disengagement at 14:12, It actually hadn't switched stacks yet and it switched just as you took over. Clearly when v12 is on the highway its training is rather minimal or there's no highway training and it was just trying its best lol. I assume it won't be too difficult to train the system on ambulances and such, on HW4 at least as it has much better color.
Solid observation! Yeah this build is definitely the most frustrating given how good 12.3 and 12.3.3 was too! I have full confidence in the coming progress.
I bet Dr. KnowItAll is part of the reason I find myself here constantly :D

12.3.4 and i had it refuse to attempt two u-turns this weekend. 'unable to complete maneuver - please assist' . not sure what the qualification for doing u-turns is... maybe some minor geo-fencing going on for some maneuvers?
This version also seems situationally less lane-aware than V11 was... V11 clearly knew the streets of an unfamiliar neighborhood better than me. V12 feels more like we're discovering it together even though it generally stages better when multiple lanes are clear.

instead of the eye contact of the driver, look for the body language of the car....IE intent movements

having an fsd that you can "ask" to "explain" what is doing its absolutely possible, it could definitely run locally.
just to give one possible approach, you can view it as language translation in where some sequence of video frames + sequence of fsd actions is a language, and that is translated into english text. this isnt enough to converse with it and introspect more but it's honestly not a bad idea
6:45 ive noticed since .3.3 that the car is very timid at crossing bike lanes for right or left exits. Bit annoying... also very sketchy urban arrangement.

Getting close or even curbing the wheels a little won't matter for the autonomous fleet this will not be prioritised by Tesla as they are building FSD for fleet use not individual owner operators! For dedicated autonomous fleet they will simply design the wheels such that a swipe or two doesn't cause meaningful damage. having seen the videos from USA it is obvious that when people say the vehicle gets close to other vehicles turning corners etc... this is normal behaviour in Europe, in fact it is required to drive through the gaps available on European roads. When there is no driver this will no longer be an issue, again Tesla will not prioritise adjusting this to placate individual driver concern as it has little value for fleet operations. This certainly would not be a factor in delaying introduction of unsupervised autonomous fleet vehicles.

2 years of fsd veta testing, beginning w/ v10. 40,000 miles of beta testing, driving so much I am now past warranty, and all I have is v11.4.9 STILL. Tesla has screwed me hard and I just want to sell this piece of crap! I'm out of the tesla cult. They stole $4,500 of fsd sub fees and 40,000 miles from my car. 100% waste of my time and money. Now I have a 2022 M3 that cannot get v12, is now out of warranty, and I can't sell it because NO ONE will buy a v11 tesla w/52,000 miles (no warranty!). They literally stole $50,000+ from me. I would not have bought the car if I knew they would screw me. I hate my tesla now. I cancelled my cybertruck too. Screw Tesla!!! They will ABSOLUTELY rip you off!!!!!
dude sorry but just wait, fsd 12 is better but you'll still need to supervise it so it's not like you'd go from v11 to sleeping in the back... you'll get it in the coming months probably!? for sure before you it's complete.
I understand that you're frustrated but lets not mince words here. They didn't steal anything from you. You chose to buy the car and to subscribe to FSD, a subscription of which you can stop at any time. You are free to feel and act as you see fit, but you've still got a great car that absolutely will sell. Saying it wont for whatever reason is just false. Fact of the matter is YOU chose to spend your money. They didn't steal anything from you. I'm here with a car well out of warranty and a battery pack replacement and my 2020 model 3 is still an incredible vehicle earning me a living.
I don't know why you don't have v12. I know there are others that don't as well. I'd explore talking to a service center. If you have already, I don't know. It is what it is.
