So lovely!! I could see doing the twelve days of Christmas theme if you did twelve pages!

I'm thrilled that you are making a star book - I remember learning this with my girl scout group years ago... TIP:I usually cut a strip of cardstock to use as a guide when placing one layer on top of another - that way I can place the second layer up against the cardstock along the edge to get the placement the same throughout the star... then the third layer can be done the same way... 😁

❤I love this! My sister made me and our siblings one of these 17 years ago! It was a memorial card after our father passed. It was magical! It had vintage pictures of him, pieces of love letters to our mother, his favorite quotes, pieces of ephemera. I remember sitting on my steps wondering what a thick card/package from her……?.? When I opened it I sobbed! I still have it in my living room! Thank you!!!! I will attempt to make one for a dear family member!❤️❤️❤️

This video is grate for collectors of ideas for making seasonal projects and packaging with parts that could be used after the occasion is over. And for collectors of interesting new ways to make pockets for money/gift card holders. Not only money can be given with this star but also removable photos and small notes with wishes and words of wisdom (that could be used in journals later). Thanks for the reminding of the useful trick - adding some wet glue on top of really-sticky glue from double-sided tape.

LOVE this--perfect for hostess gifts, neighbor gifts...IF one can bear to part with them.
The wet glue-on-tape method is GENIUS 🤓 Thank you 🌟
Lol--most things so much better at night (I like to clean by candle light 🍷, goes so much faster that way 😂🤣😂)

I will definitely do this wonderful project! One idea came to my mind: I could make a calendar for my parents with twelve pictures of my children, one for each month. That way, this beautiful star could be displayed all year. Thank you for all your inspirational ideas, Natasha! Your videos are always great fun to watch!

Oh my, it does work with five! I couldn't wait, had to grab a couple sheets of 12x12 and some paperclips, cut 4x6 pieces and they worked just fine.... and then I said those fateful words, looking at this temporary base without any inner decorative pages, "Hey! I could put signatures in there..." lol.... but you know, little spines, sewn signatures, and there's a fancy Christmas journal... 🤩

Gorgeous & so fun!! There's a sewing tool called "Add-a-quarter". It's a ruler with a little ledge 1/4" from the edge. It's PERFECT for insetting a card from the edge like that. Also - if you position the tape on the front of larger card (instead of the back of the smaller card), you know it's in the right place.

New to paper crafts (approx 6 mos). I've done all kinds of other crafts, mostly with fabrics, but no paper. Every video of yours that I watch, I find your creativity amazing. I don't have much for supplies yet. I'm trying to contain myself since I usually go over board buying supplies for each new craft. Now I'm looking at projects before I run to a craft store. I saw your video on finding supplies around your home. I haven't been saving those types of things yet! I love this video. I thought that it would be too complicated for me to do. You make it look easy. Edit: spelling

What a fun idea to make these for each year, with space/pockets/pages/tags to store each year’s recipes, menus, gift lists, photos, random thoughts, guest lists, special noted, etc., and keep as treasures. It would be fun to have a series of years to look back through. Or even use them to store favorite family recipes, traditions, memories, receipts, special thank you notes, etc. This is a wonderful and creative post. Many thanks for sharing.

I will just be making the first layer, matting it adding sentiments and then she can add her photos! I’m so excited. And after I’ve finished her project, I will make this as per your video! Thankyou soooo much!
