This weather is so mild. I want to sit in front of the fireplace with a good cup of tea and let go of everything. And there was only a blizzard outside the window. Comfortable and peaceful. This video will definitely bring back memories of my younger days
You both are such good friends. So nice to see that. Always enjoy the videos of your activities, ☕coffee time and 🥚🥓🍳 cooking. You both work hard too... Just be careful at your ages too. I am old and know how fast things can happen. Our balance changes and I had a horrific fall 2 weeks ago. Got a mild concussion, but ok now. Stay safe and healthy you two. Blessings. 🙏😊
Great to see you guys getting out and having fun in the Minnesota winter. I'm a Minnesota guy and do the same. It's the best!! Keep on Keeping on!! Take care!
Hubby and I found your channel a couple months ago and love watching it. You are the grandpas everyone wishes they had. Thank you for sharing your cabin life. :)
Love the slomo of the Canada jay at the end. Beautiful! I got cold watching you guys traipsing around in the snow. Had to get a blanket so I could keep watching. Blessings.
Hi Martin... nice to see you and Jim enjoying your cabin. So pretty to see when the sun is out. Wow, cold there though. We have a cold day here today in Indiana. I am staying inside today. thanks for this video. Fun to watch. :)
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 yes Martin you seem to do ok most of the time in the cold. I live in Indiana and I can do cold sometimes 🥶 We just had 2days last week that the arctic air came through. Ugh… I stay in the house for that. Did not like it at all. We don’t get that cold too often but we did a couple times this winter. In January it went to -31 here for about 3 days. No thanks 😂🥶 I sure do enjoy watching you… and Vonnie also … God bless
The "Cabin Banter" between y'all 😂 has me cracking up! Definitely need to get the chair lifted up, it will be so much better. It looked pretty dang cold but y'all act like it isn't that awful!?! Can't wait to see y'all pulling them there logs out with the "Snow Dawg", they do look to be well buried. The birds did to seem skid ish!? Looking forward to the next video, it seems to go by so fast, leaving me wanting more!!! Have a great week. By the way, last year I was laughing at you and Jim when he fell on the way into the cabin (all in fun), Martin you narrated that video amusingly well! 🥶🪵🪓🥞☕⛷️🛷🥧😊😁😆
Well sir, tomorrow is the day we head to UVA to start the pre admission process. My belly is full of butterflies, even though I’ve had to do this thirteen years before. Hopefully I will be able to post a positive comment on next week’s video. Cheer to you and Jim.👍
Thank you sir, I am just leaving the hospital after finishing the surgery pre-screening. Two full days of admission pre-requisite stuff. I’ll post something once I feel up to it.👍
It's kinda like watching the movie The Birds, by Alfred Hitchcock. Instead it's Martin and Jim and the Birds. Nice pictures Martin. I can't wait until spring arrives. I done with snow for this season.
Hey Martin just wanted to say hello I'm building a camp in New Hampshire I noticed your horseshoe is not above your door I think you should put it above the door and face it in the upwards positions good luck brother
I am finding myself getting a bit jealous of your outings. With a back issue affecting my mobility and the passing of my regular hunting and fishing buddy I haven't been out in the "woods" for a couple of years. I am fortunate to live on acreage in the mountains but it isn't the same. Thanks for sharing.
Do not mean to make you jealous but it can happen when we show such a place and friends hanging out. I have lost numerous close companions over the years too. It makes me strive to enjoy this as long as I can because it will end some day.
My husband and I are having such fun watching your videos… I was wondering if you get ticks up there. I live in western Massachusetts and last year I had a tick bite that made me so sick. Also lol 😂 I do alot of the cooking and my husband does most of the dishes… you guys are so funny 🤣
Viewing these videos is my only respite from the real world. God knows I'm sick to death of the way the "real world" is going today! My favorite part of this video - 15:29
Just wanted to point out, in reference to you and Jim's back and forth about who was going to chainsaw the widow makers, you are the Northwoodsman. You are a man in the north. You are in the woods. Trees are wood. That makes you the official lumberjack. Quit slacken. Pulling for you Jim.
It’s really cool to see two old gay guys just hanging out at the cabin, talking about bacon…firewood….birds….and buffalo plaid. And then looking forward to bedtime and hitting the sack…good times…
Martin, it seems you always go out of your way to makes sure we know you guys aren't drunks. :) We know that. It's no crime to have a few drinks once in a while - your audience does it all the time.
I have three types to split with. The axe is lightest and works well on good wood. Hard to tell in the pictures but the red one is a cross between an axe and large splitting maul and I like it best and it saves my shoulders from all that slamming and jarring.
My kind of people 😊, what a pleasure it is to watch. Thanks ✨🕊️✨.
Happy to have you along.
Thanks for the video Martin and Jim 👍

Very nice to see friend Martin and friend Jim. Shabbat Shalom fellows!

We do have loads of fun there.
Your videos are such a stress reliever, it does wonders for my blood pressure
Good too hear.
Love Martin's explanation of the Jim's 'scream' TOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I get the first words in it works best.
The Jim and Marting morning coffee show!!! Love it!
That is good, the camera rolls at least once more as we linger with a cup of coffee in the cabin.

Hey Martin, very nice vintage Revere ware coffee pot. Perced coffee has never been better..
Oh, and the aroma in the morning.
Absolutely Jim, you have a good fan base here as well...always good to see you at the cabin.
OK,OK lets not get his head all swelled.

People who regularly do physical activity (like you guys) are in way better shape then most younger guys who don't move around.
Any time I have a hard job to do I just say 'Think of it as a workout."
Do you still play with your shack on the river?
Yes I do but just did not get the camera out as nothing new was going on. Just a lot of tree thinning.
These guys are it
Solo trips this fall as I could not go up with Jim this morning. He does like his alone time up there so it all good.
I have placed 2X4's under the legs on my couch and recliner. So much easier to get out of.

Martin, you’re in the wrong chair for the birds

remember to knock on the fridge before you open it there mite be a salad dressing

nice Martin thank you!!
Have heard that older people should not sit on the floor without having a good plan on how to get back up, so a low chair could have the same problem.
We are not there yet but throw in a few feet of snow and wearing skis and we are.
Where is the Martin now in the September 2023 ?
