      You won't regret it! These parts are amazing and they work incredibly well with everything else I've had done to it. Please stay tuned for the upcoming videos going over the rest of the parts I've had installed. Thank you for watching and for subscribing!

    The singlecab 2wd is waaaaaaaay underrated. I have one with a 6.0 powerstroke and it makes more HP/TQ per pound than my friends new crew cab 4x4 6.7

      Mine is 4x4, but I know what you mean. I love the get-up-and-go that this thing has! Since I haven't given in to the silly trends with huge lifts and high-offset wheels, my truck is quite the sleeper amongst the usual, diesel crowd.

      Thank you this is exactly what I'm wanting to do to my lb7. Your videos are very straight to the point and informative so, much appreciation there! I'm also located in ky, about 45 minutes from Lexington, but I work in Lexington all the time. Id love to see your truck in person some time and maybe talk parts/ mods with you. Looking forward to the next video!

    I had the same fitment issues on my truck. I ended up ovaling the downpipe to clear the up pipes.

    • @JayRussellDuramax
      @JayRussellDuramax  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I didn't want to put any dints in my downpipe. Haha! I really wish I got the PPE downpipe so that I didn't have to deal with this. I think the PPE one is cheaper as well.

    On the downpipe did you have two put two gaskets on both sides of that spacer?

    I’m looking at a mbrp 5” exhaust, do you know if I need to upsize my down pipe?

    • @JayRussellDuramax
      @JayRussellDuramax  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I mean, I'd say you should do the down-pipe first because it's probably the biggest restriction in the factory exhaust system. However, you shouldn't need to do it in the sense that the 5" MBRP exhaust isn't compatible with the factory down-pipe.

  • @Luistdelgado7
    @Luistdelgado7 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hey brother how did you fit the down pipe with the fleece cheetah? Did you have to re use the shim that you use from the factory down pipe ?

    • @JayRussellDuramax
      @JayRussellDuramax  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The down pipe bolt right up to the Cheetah turbo since it uses the factory exhaust housing. I had to put a spacer in it because the PPE up pipe hit the MBRP down pipe.

    • @Luistdelgado7
      @Luistdelgado7 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JayRussellDuramax got it yeah I got the same exact parts you help a lot with the installation a couple years ago I appreciate that I’m going with the cheetah as well and wanted to ask what did you do did you think if I go with the ppe down pipe I should be fine ?

    • @JayRussellDuramax
      @JayRussellDuramax  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Luistdelgado7 The PPE up and down pipes will work together without interference. The only need for the spacer is when using an MBRP down pipe with PPE up pipes.

      @@JayRussellDuramax thanks a lot for your information I’m gonna to order that today I also called fleece to ask about my tune how will work with that turbo and they said I should be fine that won’t need retuned required I’m just going to give it a shot 🤞 thanks again bud 🍻

    What kind of reduction did you see on your exhaust gas temps?

    • @JayRussellDuramax
      @JayRussellDuramax  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Dan! Great question. Unfortunately, because these were installed as part of a very large build on my truck, I can't really answer that. I didn't have an EGT probe before installing them, either. However, I can say that the EGTs are very well controlled, though. I don't tow very often, but I have never had any issues with EGTs - even pulling heavy with my Banks tuner turned all the way up.

    What is on your filter housing head?

    • @JayRussellDuramax
      @JayRussellDuramax  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a Fleece Performance Primer Bulb Eliminator kit. I put it on because the primer bulb was leaking after I had my FASS fuel system installed. I've since removed the filter head entirely, though, as it kept leaking.
      Please let me know if you have any additional questions about my truck and what I've done to it. Thank you for watching and for commenting!

    What are your thoughts after a year I’m doing the same exact parts on my lb7 too

    • @JayRussellDuramax
      @JayRussellDuramax  ปีที่แล้ว

      Since I did so much at once, I can't say what these did specifically. But, I'm extremely pleased with how well my truck responds now that these exhaust parts are on it! They've clearly removed a TON of exhaust restriction. In hindsight, I'd get the PPE down-pipe to avoid the clearance issue I had with the MBRP one.
      Please let me know if you have any additional questions about my truck and what I've done to it. Thank you for watching and for commenting!
