If you have a lot of money then any bank is welcome for you. If you are financially sound, all banks are good and all banks will give you benefits. 💰💸💵💶💲😊
I am unable to give Barclays my proof of address because they dont accept bank letter from university intead they send some code through the app which is pretty complicated and bureaucratic. You cant open a bank account in person with them only online which is an extremely difficult process. Garbage bank
I get it, I do not understand a lot of it as well. Not just Barclay's, the same goes with HSBC. And the same goes with many other services as well, which is very strange. It could be due to expensive labour, they can not afford 4 more people at desk to help with in-person bank opening, who knows!
If you are in that country for a short while, in most case scenarios you can open a bank account. I think you can invest money too but you need to check the tax rules for both the countries in that case.
Not NatWest, that’s for sure. Digital banks might be easier to open?! I moved here years ago but I remember it took years to open a simple account to get paid into, the UK is a shambles
don’t forget Staling, Monzo and Chase!
Well them too- dont know about the Chase though. Thanks 🙏

Should I open a savings account or current account?
If you have a constant salary, bank's recommend current account. You should ask the bank for more clarification.
@@dr__spinach Thanks. Got a current account at Barclays.

You can call or visit the soecific banks once you arrive in the country. They explain the process completely and aid you if needed too.
