Its not an intuitive page but its there. The brokerage account will have the information of the account if you look for it and also the option to request the debit card in the help section.

Got to a Citibank branch in a major city's Chinatown -- they open accounts without SS all the time. Have had foreign friends to in Boston and San Francisco.
Schwab only offers international accounts to a handful of countries unfortunately. Highly recommend it if they offer it in your country though. Fidelity offers Non US Business accounts FYI

If you do end up opening a foreign bank account and get income from working as a freelancer from various countries, that earned income will be liable to be taxed in your resident country as it may be reported by those banks to your resident state financial regulatory authority!
I needed ITIN when applying for PayPal, also without SSN to open any physical bank, business or personal account, if have ITIN it's smoother, and less chances of rejection.

We can't receive funds nor make payments and its affecting our business. We have tried to explain our situation but nothing seems to help at the moment. I opened a Bank of America bank account in NYC in about 30 mins with just my passport. Debit card issued on the spot. Cheque book came 1 week later. Painless.
FDIC doesn't mean your money will be instantly reimbursed. There are multiple cases of banks going under and small creditors being hung and dry. And don't forget the Yotta debacle. Also, Relay for instance isn't insured it is Thread Bank that is their backbone.

I opened a Charles Schwab International account and they told me that they don't offer any kind of debit card with it. I don't know if this feature is no longer available or what, but that is what they told me. Apparently, in my case, China is not on the list of countries that they give debit cards to.
If you are not us resident and not working in us then what is your source of USD? What I mean to say is if you are earning outside USA you can earn in different currencies.
I have a Chase Bank account, I live in the UK, but the UK Chase brand apparently does not have any link to the US brand, they both have the same branding!! Do a google search and you'll find this statement: Although we come from the same family as Chase in the US, we at Chase in the UK are in fact a separate bank. So if you're moving to the US and want to bank with Chase, you'll need to open a new account with them.
So I got the brokerage account open from Trinidad 🇹🇹 then I tried to link my interactive brokers to it as either a savings or checking account and it won’t work . Did some digging and the account is a brokerage account only . I did the form and submitted to get it made to a checking account so I can get the card and it’s under review I’ll update in a few business days . Hopefully I’ll be able to link it then

You do NOT get the money back instantly in fdic insured banks. I do not remember the name of the bank in California which went down in 2008, I believe. I am not sure. But it took people months to get the money back.

I think I was scammed by a guy from Airbnb who I remember asking me if he could use my address and now all of a sudden somebody has set up a LLC in my name. I’m thinking that this is what has occurred. People are using an American address without the homeowners . Not sure but when you receive mail to your address with someone else’s name on it and then you find out that someone has found an LLC that is letting me know that some people are doing this as a way to scam. I’m not sure what else they’re trying to door if they just simply want to use the address either way is not right and I definitely hope law-enforcement catches up with people to do stuff like that

Its covered by SIPC insurance, not FDIC which gives almost similar amount coverage.

I tried applying with with my single member llc and i got rejected. They ask for two proof of address one for the business and the other for ur home

i mad a mistake by not checking which niches/industries will banks not open the acc - so always check each bank for which industries they have a big No when opening the acc's.

Have you found any US banks allowing to open a bank account with US address - that I don't have a utility bill for or any other legal documents showing I live there (like a virtual mailing address)?
You do NOT get the money back instantly in fdic insured banks. I do not remember the name of the bank in California which went down in 2008, I believe. I am not sure. But it took people months to get the money back.

Hello Myles thank you for all the info. I just opened the Charles Schwab international Brokerage account. The tricky thing is that the customer service says that International brokerage accounts does not offer bank accounts such saving and checking but they send you the debit card. So How does this account work as a bank if they say they cannot offer bank account to non US resident?
For an LLC, any idea of what would be the minimum to demonstrate an operating presence in the US?

I think I was scammed by a guy from Airbnb who I remember asking me if he could use my address and now all of a sudden somebody has set up a LLC in my name. I’m thinking that this is what has occurred. People are using an American address without the homeowners . Not sure but when you receive mail to your address with someone else’s name on it and then you find out that someone has found an LLC that is letting me know that some people are doing this as a way to scam. I’m not sure what else they’re trying to door if they just simply want to use the address either way is not right and I definitely hope law-enforcement catches up with people to do stuff like that
