I use a no-fee checking account and an online savings, but just watch out for banks that secretly sign you up for credit cards behind your back.
    *cough* Wells Fargo *cough*

It's quite simple why rates are climbing with rising imports and falling exports, the FED is obviously to be blamed for banking crisis. Something will eventually break if they keep the quantitative tightening and higher interest rates. Is this really a good time to have some savings in stocks?

Exactly, most youtubers said the market would be fine few months back, but it's been a major downturn. Luckily, since the rona-outbreak in 2020, I've avoided the drawback of trial and error by simply following professional guidance. I'm semi-retd and work only 7.5 hours weekly, with nearly $1m ROI after subsequent investments to date.

Through a lot of experience I've learned it's better to go with small local businesses whenever possible. This is especially true when it comes to insurance and banking. After feeling like a number all my life with the big banks, I've never felt so appreciated as I do with my local credit union.

I honestly have a lot of respect for Dave and his financial success, but the more I watch his videos, the more I find out that he has something negative to say about every company and every product except the ones that worked for himself. Dave, one size doesn't fit all and you are an intelligent man and by now you should know that. Every person's needs are unique and as a customer, one's responsibility is to know exactly what he/she needs and wants, and as a service provider your responsibility is to listen to a customers' needs and wants and tailor a solution that best fits those needs and wants, but your advice for everyone is that it didn't work for you and him or she, so it won't work for you. Let's put a little more thought and effort to understand people's unique situations.

He didn't get mad at the bank because they told him he didn't pay the bill. He got mad because they essentially told his wife to divorce him. That's a very personal matter and not something a bank should interfere with. That is incredibly unprofessional and it caused them great emotional distress. His relation with his wife is their own buisness and nobody other than them know the circumstances that could have lead to the missed bills.

I have an ally bank account. Allied savings is 2.20%. That's not bad and they have a checking account and of course credit cards and all the loans and CDs and Roth IRA and money market accounts and things like that. They do have a 24-hour seven-day-a-week toll-free phone number that you can call. Basically it's a full-service bank but it's online and you do get to talk to human beings. I'm not a big fan of Chase although I do have a checking account there. I guess it was just something I did 12 years ago. Although in my neighborhood there are a number of smaller Banks. And I bet you that a bank branch manager probably is about as effective as a fast food chain store manager.

I'm confused. How does Dave Ramsey get his physical cash if he never steps into a bank anymore? Does he only use ATM or his personal assistants withdraw cash for him? 🤔

Well, he said he has people who do his banking for him so I assume they withdraw cash upon request (and I’m sure he uses a debit card all the time)... he probably has people that feed him grapes upon request, as well.

if I am living in the USA than I would have a major bank such as Bank of America for convenience and high-interest savings for my emergency fund. Anything else I make goes into my treasury direct where I buy Us Treasuries when the interest rates are above inflation. Currently, i work in China so I use Bank of China. I am looking into investing money in Russian treasuries because they are currently at 6% and the US are at 3% so this means I will want a Russian Bank account to park what I am earning in China so that I can buy Russian Securities. I might also invest in Russian real estate as I am not allowed to buy an investment property in China or South East Asia.

I have B.o.a, Wells, and two credit union accounts. The credit unions customer service experience I have had is awful but you do get to know ppl at the branches unlike the bigger banks. However I like the bigger banks because of the convenience factor. There is good and bad on both ends.

Robert Smithers because he has his money invested in Credit Unions. AMEX is a great bank with the longest history in America and has a high interest rate APY. By the way Warren Buffett invests in AMEX.

I’ve heard credit unions are worse then big banks because they’re is a less guarantee your money will be backed up? Or the amount is less? With chase bank your banking is done a lot better. More security. Though I do realize if something was to go south that would affect a tone of more people. Resulting in a bigger amount being loss but the chances are far less from what I’m hearing ?
