I'm a lift operator. You wouldnt believe how many people have never skied/boarded, and they ride up the lift that has no easy way down. They arent allowed to ride the lift down where I work, so usually ski patrol ends up having to take them down.
this, we took my friends gf that said she boarded before and was confident so she wanted to come to the top with us... quarter way down we had to call ski patrol for her because she couldn't make it down.......
yeah, this is how it used to be but eventually a lot of people started complaining about getting cracked in the back of the head by the next chair coming around the wheel that they changed best practices.....
Don't know what a lift operator earns, but their bonus is in laughs. I'm sure they see some hilarious things daily. I remember getting all tangled up in a bunny lift when I was first learning. My friend and I laughed so hard, we just had to sit there in the snow and regain our composure.

@@Alto-le2rq I mean strength wise. Like if you fall and cant stand up, you shouldnt be doing a sport, let alone going off on your own on a mountain. Some of these people werent strong enough to stand up, even with someone lifting them up.

Well we were coming up the chairlift and I was waiting at the top for the rest of the class. One of our class members forgot to get off the chairlift and the lift she was in was facing downhill when the lift had to be stopped and the lift attendant had to help the young lady off the lift, as her skis were airborne
Snow blades are so easy to get off a chair lift and a lot easier then skis for sure....!!!!!!!!!! Sierra at Tahoe here I come there's a blanket of snow on them there hills.....❄️⛷💙🎿❄️⛷💙🎿❄️⛷💙🎿
My advice after a view comedy falls is.. hold ski poles in one hand.. place other hand on seat ..stand up with free remaining on seat, let the chair push you a little on your skis then push yourself away and shush to skiing freedom from the chair
If so many people fall it means the arrival should be fixed the ground drops all of the sudden and the people cant touch the ground. They should be getting off earlier
keeps you busy, top shack on the difficult runs is actually kinda boring/chill depending on how you look at it, you just sit there listening to music and eating, on the bunny slopes it's like a work out....what's even worse is being an instructor to beginners, double so when the people are just completely physically inept.
My 1st snowboard, 2nd longest run in Japan, didn’t fall off the lift because I used one foot, but took us about 3 hrs to descend! Was beautiful, and was able to stay up and turn either way by mid point, but had some severe crashes to begin! Can be dangerous... tailbone was aching for awhile after, but cannot wait to get back and improve! No matter how much of a kook I look like. ;)

The lift guy was on his phone or something and I was waving to make him slow it down but he was distracted. So I made it down the lift on my first try EASILY on the hard lift.
This lift has a lot of first time skiers. The lift operator can stop the lift but is not paying attention. Getting hit by the chair can cause real damage. The lift is going too fast for beginners. Good thing the snow is soft.

its not lift problem, most of them are very poor beginner skiers, 2:30 he just wanted to touch her i can fully understand it there are weak beginners, normal beginners and also good beginners, third one would easly withstand that
