Hello, yes we've made gnocchi, which turned into mush when boiled. My husband being Italian ,I'm greek, has also tried it not bad. We have yried different ways of cooking the potatoes but we don't put eggs. My MIL did not put eggs. Excited to watch you make them. We also make the potatoe salad. My Nonna was from Calabria, but I never got to meet her. So my mom used to cook her recipes and help me connect with her legacy. Now I live in Minnesota and love cooking Italian for my husband. We made this gnocchi recipe and they turned out amazing! My husband and I loved them so much. I tried rolling them on a fork which was not successful, I then thought to use a HOLD ‘N SLICE (multi prong holder slicer) and it worked perfectly. My husband was amazed! And said we should have them a couple times a month, which is his greatest compliment!

I’m Serbian born living in Australia and one of our Serbian recipes has the same dough with three eggs and we make balls with plums and boil them then toss in toasted crumbs. Of course sugar on top when eating them. Our favourite. Can’t wait for the next recipe thank you Giovanna and a happy new year to you and your family 🌹

The egg is optional, but I think that it gives a very fragile dumpling a little more structure. The gnocchi are good either way. Happy New Year! 🎊
we bake our potatoes and we do t use eggs either. but i'm going to give it a try
Eggs make them more nutritious (esp great for kids) plus add flavour. They also hold their shape better. 😊

I just made these with gluten free flour and they came really well! Soft and delicious with that sauce and Parmesan cheese!
