I really appreciate your podcast, Jon. Your interviews are so insightful and thought-provoking. Sometimes, it even feels like therapy. Sometimes, it is just good to know that gay little boys have turned into such amazing and inspiring gay men. Thank you

I’m a young gay man (26) from the Midwest and about a month ago I visited my first gay bar. I was mortified, but after mellowing out with the friend who had invited me, I had the most validating experience of my life. I wanted to live in that feeling for the rest of my life, and I was saddened to have to leave it.

Another home run! I must have been living under a rock, but most of your fabulous guests I’ve never heard of in the US. We need more sharing like this. Jack hits the nail on the head when he talks about the term, “coming out”. Thanks again Jon! Are you studyyto become a therapist?
Such a good listener. I’d sit on your couch anytime. 😊

It's still the case that some confident members of younger generation are keen to police the language with which their predecessors identify. If you've heard "queer" or other words while literally being beaten up in the streets - as I have experienced - then it rankles when someone 30-40yrs younger tells you to update your labels and pronouns.

with both of you being such handsome men
its curious that straight female homophobia
wasn't highlighted. granted, its the men who
usually act out, but in my experience, women
are very adept at calling out male sexuality.
    especially the anitabryant-types who seem
very resentful when goodlooking guys ignore
    them.

Jon & Jack.. Apologies for the late response! Needless to say watched twice! Firstly the chemistry between You Both is off the scale! More please! Collaboration at some point. Sorry Jack didn't really know much about You other than your work with GQ, Esquire? Etc. And indeed your involvement with Fashion, style brands. Needless to say will be listening to your podcasts.
( Tune out those that know!) Older ....decades .. and a proud Northerner! Again London centric yet relatable in so many ways.
Even now I found myself going " Jesus! I can relate to this".. Like below referencing Oxbridge and the privileged poisoned few! Nasty. No wonder this country is screwed!
Add to that how even in my lifetime how our situation has changed. Even in my decades! Reference back to my awful teenage years growing up in a strict family and a rural backwater where it was hell. Bow i don't give a F***!
Thank You Both again. Excellent! Have fwd to many of my straight mates.
    And yes more please! Cheers.

i'm sorry but the velvet rage is just bad...maybe it was groundbreaking in 2000 but now there are so many books that aren't just rich/privileged/white gay men whining that they're sad.
