  • Input: yellow handle having two round protrusions at its face.
    Output: grey shaft.
Blue outer cone has prismatic joint with the shaft. It is forced toward the stationary internal cone (in glass) and the handle by red spring. The blue cone has V-shaped grooves at its face.
When a torque is applied to the handle (orange arrows), the latter first pushes the blue cone from the contact with the internal cone (the displacement is small due to the shaft shoulder) then turns the grey shaft (due to the interaction of the round protrusions of the handle and the V-shaped grooves of the blue cone).
When a torque is applied to the grey shaft (pink arrows), it can’t make the shaft rotate because of the friction between the two cones.
The yellow round protrusions can be converted into V-shaped ones.
Number of the V-shaped grooves and protrusions can be more than two.

I still don't understand the function of this, and I still have doubts after reading the comments. Which one does it mean by irreversible? It means that only the yellow part can drive the gray roller, and the gray roller cannot drive the yellow crank, right?

      Yes. Your understanding is correct.

Can the winch/wheel part spin without the yellow arm rotating ? Is the yellow arm a manual override ?

sir in your 3D model zip file where is the red spring located?

    • @thang010146

In Autodesk Inventor, the spring is automatically created in Dynamic Simulator after its parameters are defined. So there is no file for it.

Hi, congrat for the explanation. Is there any kind of cone reversible movement. For example any mecanism that transmit power in one direction, but allow the reel to runs free in the opposite if no power is apply? Thanks a lot for the help

I think that there is such mechanisms.
I will try to make one.
Could you tell me for what purpose such mechanisms are used?

@@thang010146 Is for a little rocker, and in the axis of rotation I want to put a 90 grade geared 12v motor. So the motor turns only in one direction, because it is geared and it does not allow to return to the initial position to the rocker freely and with no opposition. The movement of the rocker should be around 70-80 grades or so. Thanks a lot for the help, I´ve been thinking a lot to solve it with not luck...

      th-cam.com/video/VgciAZMn7Zc/w-d-xo.html
Connect the motor to the outer ring (in blue) and the reel to the fork (in pink). The reel can rotate freely when the outer ring is immobile.

it seems easier to produce. Nevertheles thanks a lot for the help.

What material should I use for the blue cone?

      Tempered steel.

Maybe, the spring force needs to be strong to increase the friction force. I want to reduce the spring force a little bit, so how about an NBR with a hardness of 80?

    • @thang010146
      @thang010146  ปีที่แล้ว

It depends on the load applied to the output.
I think the brake pad material is a good choice.

@@thang010146 if the cone angle , surface finish and contact area are good then a simple cone is good to hold and transmit quite a lot of torque without slipping. Ie morse taper on machine tools
