I discovered Dimash in a similar way! I had only ever watched reaction videos to Pentatonix (and Superfruit), and one day I noticed that one of my favourite reactors had posted a bunch of reactions to Dimash. I was bored, so I listened, and was totally blown away. I will always love Pentatonix, but Dimash has sort of taken over my world these last few months (both he and PTX saved me from total boredom during the pandemic). Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Bets in 2019 but he retired because he had not been notified that he was going to compete with children, this caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, very likely would have won.

Dimash [Dee-mahsh] Kudaibergen [Koo-die-bear-GHIN] is a classically trained (operatic) singer from Aktobe, Kazakhstan. His big break came when he competed on the Chinese reality show, “I am a Singer” in 2017. He was the only foreign singer on the show and placed second (primarily due to political considerations in which no Chinese singer should lose on a state-run Broadcast show). SOS was his first performance on the show and it was seen by more than 600 million Chinese. It vaulted Dimash Into a major Asian star and since 2017, he has focused his talents in Asia. Last December, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. His concert sold out in 10 minutes on LiveNation! Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Bets in 2019 but he retired because he had not been notified that he was going to compete with children, this caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, very likely would have won.

I discovered him last year, and since then I have listened to SOS from Slavic Bazaar (your video) and from the Chinese show "I Am a Singer" hundreds of times and I love first reactions to these stunning performances. As you saw, Dimash's abilities go beyond the unique voice and technique, he conveys emotions and gives everything of himself into his performances.
According to vocal coaches, Dimash has more than four voices. He can do IMMEDIATE/INSTANT SWITCHES between extreme highs and extreme lows....IMMEDIATE/INSTANT SWITCHES BETWEEN OCTAVES and/or REGISTERS.
Sounds like you need to contact your Kazakh friend and ask them about Dimash. Kazakhstan calls Dimash a national treasure for them.
