Dimash is not always perfect because he is still human. But he can fix fauls in less than 2 sec and he always stays in character so most of the time you won't notice when he is doing something rong. Dimash is the most talented singer ever and the title you said is special because he also has a song named "omir oter" and the music video of it is better than the life performance.
That new song, Omir, is truly deep yet quite sad when one realizes his Papa passed right after its release. Dimash sings in 15 languages, plays a few instruments , cmpises, directs, dances, models, etc and is very much the humanitarian. Very humble and is endlessly loving to his fans whom he calls dears as we are as precious as his family. He works all the time to improve so at 29 he is amazing. Try Stranger from New Wave 2021 it is in English and epic. But since he covers many genres from opera through to rap would you believe, you need to watch a dozen different songs to get to understand Dimash.
I agree, at least a dozen as I find with each new song he's pulling another new rabbit out of the hat, like the metal scream at the end of TSOOS or the rock rasp in Omir. He's continually searching for new sounds and it's inspiring and exciting.

Great first Dimash reaction. This was really his breakout performance. He became almost instantly popular in China from this. Surprisingly he didn't win. There was a rule against foreigners winning apparently. If you want to do some more and move slowly up through his catalog, I would rec Opera 2 and Adagio from this same show Singer. Both show very different sides of his talent. Otherwise, Sinful Passion at Sochi, Your Love, in Moscow, Olympico/Ogni Pietra, Across Endless Dimensions: video, and Stranger, are all good choices, if you want to hop around.

I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. Welcome to the Dimash rabbit hole, nice to see another fellow Aussie falling deep down it. Dimash is definitely a unique talent and from what I have seen through his work and little interviews and such a decent human being as well. His voice quality and range are incredible and definitely show the years of training he has had (I know he has been working on a PhD even). You are in for one hell of a ride with Dimash. From his version of the Diva Dance (think the blue alien from the movie The Fifth Element) to his incredible epic original work The Story of One Sky (you may need tissues for that one).

I've seen every video, interview and footage of Dimash and I don't recall one occasion that he's mentioned Diana? Could you please quote your sources as I'd be interested to see that. Diana certainly knows of Dimash though as she was in the audience for his performance of Stranger at Sochi.
@@szolanek again, they haven't both worked with Igor. Igor was a judge at a vocal competition that Diana took part in and provided her with accommodation so that she could finish her education. Igor has done some work recently with Polina Gagarina who has a very similar voice to Diana but as far as I'm aware he has not done anything musically with her. Diana has also ruled out a duet with Dimash as their voices are so incredibly different.

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 or 16 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. For me, Dimash is vocal perfection, it's his rich deep baritone that gives me shivers in all the right places, especially in his newest song Omir.
Dimash is not always perfect because he is still human. But he can fix fauls in less than 2 sec and he always stays in character so most of the time you won't notice when he is doing something rong. Dimash is the most talented singer ever and the title you said is special because he also has a song named "omir oter" and the music video of it is better than the life performance.
That new song, Omir, is truly deep yet quite sad when one realizes his Papa passed right after its release. God bless DQ & family. ❤ From what I saw of the last 2 concert things went well, even though he surely must have missed seeing his grandparents there. I'm certain his dear Mama will be in mourning for some time.

Dimash sings in 15 languages, plays a few instruments , cmpises, directs, dances, models, etc and is very much the humanitarian. Very humble and is endlessly loving to his fans whom he calls dears as we are as precious as his family. He works all the time to improve so at 29 he is amazing. Try Stranger from New Wave 2021 it is in English and epic. But since he covers many genres from opera through to rap would you believe, you need to watch a dozen different songs to get to understand Dimash.

Great first Dimash reaction. This was really his breakout performance. He became almost instantly popular in China from this. Surprisingly he didn't win. There was a rule against foreigners winning apparently.

Dimash is definitely a unique talent and from what I have seen through his work and little interviews and such a decent human being as well. His voice quality and range are incredible and definitely show the years of training he has had (I know he has been working on a PhD even).

I've seen every video, interview and footage of Dimash and I don't recall one occasion that he's mentioned Diana? Could you please quote your sources as I'd be interested to see that. Diana certainly knows of Dimash though as she was in the audience for his performance of Stranger at Sochi.

@@szolanek again, they haven't both worked with Igor. Igor was a judge at a vocal competition that Diana took part in and provided her with accommodation so that she could finish her education.
Igor has done some work recently with Polina Gagarina who has a very similar voice to Diana but as far as I'm aware he has not done anything musically with her.
Diana has also ruled out a duet with Dimash as their voices are so incredibly different.

I’ve been following Dimash for 1 year and I can’t stop listening to him every day. In my 69 years of life, I’ve never heard another artist sing like him. Yet in Italy and in the world there are many, but no one sings like him.
With the song S.O.S. you witnessed, not the performance of a song, but you witnessed a mystical experience, a work of art, a one-way trip to the world of Dimash, a new and unknown place from which you will never want to return.
A place where his voice turns into a gentle caress for your heart and soul. A place where your brain no longer seems to be yours.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 or 16 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once.
If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
BTW the audience is also the jury.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.
I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I think what's happening today in the world worries him a lot.
