*Really like the light, but would never ever purchase any light like this having built-in cells, not easily replaced with freshly charged cells --- AS NEEDED. Too bad, Nitecore...*
Yea, I agree with the removable battery. Also there should be three additional screws to make the belt clip be reversible to be able to clip to a hat or for additional uses. Otherwise perfect light. If there was another way to seal the charging port besides the rubber; with maybe a metal flap or screw in and an o-ring it would be absolutely perfect. I don't need strobe, I want a utility light that can do every thing I need that is portable. This light right now only needs those forementioned things to be perfect for me. I don't want a z shaped belt clip. I want a strong clip like it is. And the ability to reverse that strong clip to fit my needs.
I hate soldered in batteries in anything too, they do it on purpose, it's part of the "throw away" mentality I guess. When it comes to wanting a torch that you can depend on, an easily replaceable battery is a must for me.
Nitecore will replace battery for only parts charge. And you can always redo your own or hire an electrician. After warranty you can pay Nitecore. Or you can get the larger Acebeam x80 gt [32k lumens] or the smaller Fireflies E07 [7k lumens].
It's actually soldered in because the connectors would quickly become oxidized leading to higher resistance and heat. Their first couple of prototypes had a removable battery and they decided to solder it + provide the USB C charging for that reason.

Good point on removable batteries on devices like these, I agree with your opinion on this for a number of reasons, especially been able to swap out for 100% charge in seconds, and future proofing the power source of the device. Good points as usual Baz.
Okay yeah it’s a neat light and has some cool features. But I’m sick to death of these companies claiming these high lumen outputs and cant go longer than 7 seconds on turbo. Thanks for the detailed review as always.

@Dan Dan I know ! Me too , they keep rolling away when you try to grab it , all simply down to cost , cheapest product to make, mould it to the shape of batteries.
Too many people worried about non replaceable battery with up to 500 charge cycles it's going to provide years of use before you need to find some one with a battery spot-welder who can do the work to swap it out. And in a few years time the battery tech will be better still. Works very well, tells you how much charge you have left - easy to charge up from any USB battery pack. Solid build that fits in a jacket pocket easily and good in your hand.
Down to needs on this one. I'm mindful of the fact I get review samples - so it's important I mention things I don't like or might be a potential deal breaker for some buyers. That way folks can decide for themselves. This seems more like a tech demo/curiosity/future relic of the lumen war than something a company should be selling to folks for $200. I miss the practical Nitecore I fell in love with.
There is a lot more to a light (for me) than just pure output, but I suppose they are all pumping big lumens now it's a bit like the megapixel war on cameras in years past, once one goes higher they all do. but there are so many more important things to consider than just super powerful output

Comprehensive review, thanks. This reminds me of phones. Spare batteries carried around for wild camping for a week. Now soldered in, just like this torch. But the main reason I won't be buying it is the shallow led cup / wide flood. I'd want a deeper cup / more range, or, better still, a zoom facility like Ledlenser. Oh well, more interesting time researching a small, zoomable torch with lotsa lumen output.
Yes I don't agree with it and never have. Interesting thing is I have the TM9K coming in for review this week (not arrived yet). Same thing no access to battery! I'll do the review, can't say I will be impressed with that part of it. These high power torches hit the battery pretty hard too, it's inevitable that you'll wear the battery down over time
It is quite high prices but, that much power in such a small package is impressive, makes me wonder what they could do with a spotlight for a search and rescue drone.
Yes the ideas are interesting what would be nice is if they can expand on some of them with other models, particularly the OLED and customisable output
Is an interesting light but for me there are 2 major failures the built in battery and the heat dissipation. In future version would be nice if they make a little bit longer few cm for a deeper reflector and some fins. That UI seems very intuitive and the possibility to customise the high level output but is not possible to do with the other level, in future would be very useful to customise all the levels outputs even the ultra low. I ordered one and let’s see how it goes, but I will never use as a primary flashlight EDC, for me is more suitable like a backup light ore in those situations that I don’t need a lot of runtime and power. It will be a great addition to my carry edc bag wit my trusty acebeam l30 gen 2
I don't like built in batteries that alone is a major put off. It has potential in terms of the style and UI, what they needed to do was give the user more control over the power output. I'm not sure if they'll do a mkII maybe, it's interesting alright but def not for everyone

Thank you for another excellent review! But definitely not the flashlight for me due to non-replaceable batteries. High end premium torch needs replaceable batteries.
I kinda told Nitecore that myself, but hey I don't make these things! I'd take less power and a removable battery every day of the week. Fun to play with, I wouldn't buy it on that alone
Warranty should cover battery as well that is what I was told, out of warranty I'd imagine they will charge cost of parts ie a battery. Lifespan should be years but it depends on the usage. I don't agree with the design choice of having a non removable cell it can be changed but it's soldered in so likely hassle to do it yourself. I would have gone with a removable cell even if the top end power was not as high, I don't think people would mind
Are there similar size alternatives with adjustable lumens? Except for built in battery and low wife acceptance factor (price), my dream flashlight. Love the formfactor performance, the adjustable high setting.
I've not seen or used anything similar to this design wise, I wish Nitecore had gone with a removable battery Perhaps they might later on do other ones
It is good to see the big brands try new things and all but that pocket clip is a train wreck. Nitecore has never heard of "deep carry" so near half the light is not sticking out of a pocket or jacked all up on a belt? Appreciate the review!
It's different I agree some won't like the clip design or position, though it's possible to remove it. Not going to work for everyone, the idea is interesting though in some ways, thanks for the input
No not the Turbo you can't set that just the level below up to 2k lumens which is what I would set it to. Would be nice if you could adjust the levels on each setting or drop the turbo down for longer run times, though 2K is decent enough output wise
@@MrBazReviews for $300 you'd expect options for custom programming/engraving/style and a handwritten letter with a certificate of authenticity. . . Don't see how this is worth even $150. Looks like slightly fancier version of the Chinese produced lights where they shove as many leds in as possible and dont care about heat. It works in dive lights to a certain extent since the water cools it. So basically 4 of the leds are just there to turn on for 7 seconds for bragging rights. This really only has 2 led of useable output. Next they will put 6 flash circuits from a camera and claim 100k lumens
@@user-tr2dh4xx6u Well look on the bright side least I laid out all the stuff for folks to make their own minds up. No I'm not a fan of it myself the concept 2 is more useful and practical. It's a showcase product ie we can do this as I said..but it wasn't IMO executed nearly as well as it should/could have been. Interesting to play with but I wouldn't buy it myself. I did hope some of the points would spur Nitecore to look again at build in cell lights, or make some changes to other designs. There is potential here - I'd like multiple levels of user adjustment, a bit more throw yes it's very flood like, removable battery etc.
They are very different the TM10K is smaller and much more flood beam, Concept 2 has quite a lot more range, though larger (still not that big fine for a belt etc.). Really comes down to what you want the TM10K is a pocket monster, albeit with a limited run time in turbo. Concept 2 I think is more practical (would work well as a working torch ie used a lot - long run times)
@@MrBazReviews I am not into a throw light. My lights are flood type. I want a durable, usb charge, good battery for 2000 lumens, pocket friendly. Cost does not matter if the light is really good.
It can hold the 2000lm level quite a long time as shown in the video, it's only the turbo which is very limited in duration. I set it to 2000lm which I think is fine plenty of output. I'd prefer if you could adjust the other levels or the turbo. It is tough no question on that and the battery capacity isn't far off a 26650 cell
I have not used that one the Concept 2 is using 4 x 18650 batteries hence it's not as small as the single cell TM10K, though it has higher overall capacity due to this. For a pocket torch the TM10K is better suited, not that the Concept 2 is that big really it's just not as small
If they made a Fenix PD35 in N/W that would be one of the best just like the feel of it in the hand switches are perfect tactile feedback. It's not a wow power but that's not the most important thing for me
Why not just get a 1watt laser for $50 and instantly permanently blind them. For an extra 250 you could have an automated defense turret with facial recognition
cele ritas 1 watt lasers are rated as class 4 lasers, which are banned in the US, prohibited in many other countries and/or requires licensing, you can be fined for possession of a class 4 laser without license. also, do you think you will have enough time to aim at the target’s eyes with such a concentrated beam in an emergency situation? sure it can blind him permanently, but it is not very tactical and efficient for CQC or close ranged self-defence, especially against a wild animal or an armed robber, the TM-10K has a very wide angle of beam, in otherwords the beam is very divergent; so as long as an enemy appears in front on you, you can just pull out this flashlight and press the turbo button and he’s blinded, you don’t even need to think about where he is. also, $50 lasers oftentimes fail or malfunction, the lithium-ion batteries used might be of very poor quality, and so is the laser diode. Nothing good comes cheap, and next time you think $50 lasers are a good way to defend yourself, you should probably think again, carefully.
The fun doesn't come cheap does it? Yes bit spendy for me, though prices are not bargain on most of these branded torches. Some are worth it, I think this one really I am looking for a user replaceable battery if I am honest
It's great that it is small. I find that youngsters are provoked by a monster self defence device. Luckily I see no loss of prestige in walking away from situations.
I kinda like the rectangle shape, but the light makes no sense - they're essentially saying the 6 LEDs and built-in battery is there solely for the 7 seconds of 10k lumens. Most of the time it's going to be a 1k-2k lumen light, in which case it's way too expensive and big for what it is.
It's as I said on another comment the lumens is now the torch equivalent of megapixels for cameras, ie more is better (that is the marketing thinking). But as we reached good enough on cameras, we also reach a point where for most users/buyers the lumens output is plenty enough. Other areas such as design, handling, spacing, customisation etc are all more important to me personally. The newer 21700 cells offer more capacity, but also higher drain so expect to see more powerful torches. Of course you could argue you don't have to use it at full power, and that's true ;-) Most of the time I'd use the 2000lm, it would have been nice to custom set the other power levels. It is interesting to look at models like this, however interesting v practical are not always the same hence the suggestions on how to change the design.
@@MrBazReviews 2k lumens for flood is overkill. The beam is too wide for its output. If you want distance a more focused 1k light will do the same or better. This one lights up way too big of an area with the 2k. Your eyes can only focus on a specific area, the rest of the flood is wasted on peripheral vision. I prefer a 1k light with a diffuser like the olight s1r. I would never buy a light with soldered batteries. And since using olights magnetic charge system i can't go back to regular lights. I used to be too lazy to always take batteries out to charge or to plugin the light. Plus with primary batteries you have to keep 20% batteries inside or just waste them, always frustrating with half dead primaries.
Yeah it's ridiculously overpriced just for the display features and extra leds. Most of Its power is useless since it will overheat instantly. One thing about extra leds is that its more efficient to run 6 leds at 200 lumens than to run 1 led at 1200. Higher outputs from single leds lead to more energy loss from heat. Although if you want efficiency then put a more focused lens and lower the output. I hate lights with that much flood, might as well get a lantern or diffuser.
@@ionmorcodeanu7952 No it's fixed though can vary a bit depending on output to the eye it's not obvious though. It would be nice if they have a N/W option but they don't and probably won't
Well I used to wonder until you start using them, then you find there is a lot more to a light than at first appears (beam, run time, tint, handling) it's just like many products they do vary quite a lot - much more than some might think. I do quite a few different items on the channel, photo stuff, bit of computer/android devices even done microphones and other items. Torches are incredibly useful devices I use them all the time for outdoors or photo/videos I make. And for some reason I like doing the reviews too ;-). I'm sure if I did only one type of product video I'd get bored hence I mix it up a bit :-)
Hi Juan I've emailed Nitecore to ask. I'm not sure what's going on but nobody has sent or offered to send any lights for months now - unfortunately I've no idea why but I am trying my best to get hold of samples.
You can take the plate off the back, but it's soldered into place. Not impossible to do but would require a bit of work to de-solder it. When I asked Nitecore they said you could send it in for replacement battery
Well u could watch the 23 minute video someone uploaded where he didn't even take it outside ;-) Priorities are showing the light fully, testing it's pretty detailed minus fluffy talking
Nitecore are well established in making torches, but at times they remind me of Apple with their products that are really over priced. the features are nice but would expect the user to be able to customise the use better than what it allows you with the TM10k i have a few of their torches/chargers and happy with the overall performance but at this price! £££ hhmm they could do much better and i hope there is some way to update the firmware, shame the TM10K Lumi could not stay on for at least 1 min.
It's not a light I would buy even at a lower price, the no easy cell replacement is a show stopper for me. As I said they should have let the user adjust all the output levels would have made more sense. Lights are quite pricey some of them, I think a bit too much being honest. It was fun to play with that's about it for me Don't get a lot of Nitecore lights in recently for some reason. This had a lot of potential if they took onboard some of those points, doubt it will be updated firmware
minicoopertn i mean, it’s not that scientifically possible, for such power and extraordinary cooling system packed into such a small device, at least not yet, i mean, it’s a flood light, and it can run at 2000 lumens(Max) continuously for prolonged period of time, the 10k lumens function is probably just for immediate/emergency self defence or CQC, i mean, how often r u gonna use 10k/turbo anyway, the run time isn’t a joke, the technology put into this torch is actually extremely ahead of current flashlight industries, being able to make one single 21600 Li-ion battery output so much power, even for 7 seconds its already amazing.
I was all into it, then I split screen Amazon. prime... this thing is 300.00.. I only pay that much for streamlight flashlights or olight but not this brand .
I have had about 6 Nightcores, two died, the one (EC25) died due to a 10 foot drop onto cement (one of many) and lasted 4 years, the Concept 1 failed due to a crappy button, but even then, it was 2 years old and survived many brutal drops. I have seen plenty of stream lights fail, but the upside is the tool truck will exchange them, but you are paying for an outdated, dim light with a proprietary battery and charger.
I know someone who spent $900 odd on a private number plate, seemed crazy to me but I suspect people just like splashing out. Cheap if you got your Biden Bucks though ;-D
i hate the controller on this. too much to press, hold, press quickly but not too quickly, different modes that requires specific time of hold or sequences. bla bla bla... horrible . i thought the two buttons were up and down of brightness and the rear is on / off. this is just horrible.
Seven second turbo? Are you kidding? I'm not paying $350.00 for a flashlight that dictates how long i can use it on high. If I need it, I dont want it to cut off. Big thumbs down.
I don't make the light I review it tell you what's good or not then you decide yourself. Plenty of channels out there that brown nose job stuff on a conveyor belt, that's not this channel I list out good/bad clearly for you to see. Sure 7 seconds is very short, I don't like the built in cell either. It's a showcase product some good ideas not really something I'd buy
Because it's not an 18650 it's a 21700 cell which was already tested and the capacity confirmed. This is a real review channel, not one of those prepping marketing ones ;-)
ohhh my mistake then, still odd they went for such a high discharge battery, those LED's would never such insane discharge, only vapers would use a cell like that, another application is motherboard UPS, even cars which use hundreds dont require more than 1amp
I wouldn't find it that useful myself. I think Nitecore should have gone with a normal battery you can remove, and a lower turbo which you could use for longer
Too bad there is no 1000 lumen mode. It just skips up to 2000. And why 10,000 lumen? Make it a practical 3,000 that at least stays on for a couple of minutes. You can buy replaceable 21700 Li/ion batteries so why not just make them replaceable? What a shame .

There is potential here - I'd like multiple levels of user adjustment, a bit more throw yes it's very flood like, removable battery etc.
bro, Concept 2 vs tm10k. Which one would use buy ?
@@MrBazReviews i still cannot believe Concept 2 is bigger than Tm10k. Have u tried Tm28 ? What do u think?
I have not used that one the Concept 2 is using 4 x 18650 batteries hence it's not as small as the single cell TM10K, though it has higher overall capacity due to this. For a pocket torch the TM10K is better suited, not that the Concept 2 is that big really it's just not as small
If you could only choose one favourite flashlight what would it be ?
If they made a Fenix PD35 in N/W that would be one of the best just like the feel of it in the hand switches are perfect tactile feedback. It's not a wow power but that's not the most important thing for me
This can literally be used as Flashbang, imagine someone intrudes in ur house at night, u just Turbo in their eyes.
I had the same thoughts, it wouldn’t be nice 10000k flashed in the eyes and 7 seconds are more enough to react
Sort of kinda expensive flashbang tho ;-D
Love music choice...
Yes it's good!
When Nitecore says 10K lumens, you know it's real. But sweet baby Jesus, that price!
The fun doesn't come cheap does it? Yes bit spendy for me, though prices are not bargain on most of these branded torches. Some are worth it, I think this one really I am looking for a user replaceable battery if I am honest
COULD YOU PLEASE TEACH ME how to put the LANYARD in properly ? thanks
Just double up the cord and loop the strap through
there is strap (lanyard and a tiny thin cord) , i dont know how to connect bro...
ibb.co/k9J4Lj9
Just tie it off the one I got was cut at the ends too just loop it through and leave enough space to put the strap through.

coool LED flashlight...
what country made this flashlight
Almost all of the top LED light makers are in China
Of course you could argue you don't have to use it at full power, and that's true ;-)
Most of the time I'd use the 2000lm, it would have been nice to custom set the other power levels.
I hate lights with that much flood, might as well get a lantern or diffuser.
somebody knows which is the colour temperature(Kelvin) for this Nitecore TM10K ?
thanks
It's around 6200 Kelvin when I set the WB on the camera
@@MrBazReviews
can the colour temperature be adjusted lower or higher?
@@ionmorcodeanu7952 No it's fixed though can vary a bit depending on output to the eye it's not obvious though. It would be nice if they have a N/W option but they don't and probably won't
@@MrBazReviews thanks
Lmao I'm not hating but I just find it funny people really like flashlights, I just like watching the reviews..
I thought about something like that for a second till i saw the price
Not cheap is it, hence I'm being picky on a few points
Mine will not unlock unless I plug it into the USB C and then unplug it again.
If it has power it should unlock I know that if you press too quickly it won't unlock
Hi Mr Baz, very nice reviews, please take a look at the nitecore p18
Hi Juan I've emailed Nitecore to ask. I'm not sure what's going on but nobody has sent or offered to send any lights for months now - unfortunately I've no idea why but I am trying my best to get hold of samples.
Has anybody tried to disassemble the light to see if you can replace the battery
You can take the plate off the back, but it's soldered into place. Not impossible to do but would require a bit of work to de-solder it. When I asked Nitecore they said you could send it in for replacement battery
Noooo why would you edit out the peeling of the protective plastic
Well u could watch the 23 minute video someone uploaded where he didn't even take it outside ;-)
Priorities are showing the light fully, testing it's pretty detailed minus fluffy talking
Di Mana Bisa Beli Senter nie pak

How i can buy it...?
Gearbest sell it via the links shown
$300 for this flashlight. Too much for a light
@Dan Dan And you can screw your atomizer in the bottom and use it for vaping.

hi A...
what country made this LED flashlight
@@bestamerica idk
Overpriced af wtf. . .
Olights way better
01:38 SAVOR THE PEELIES!
Yes it's fun!
It was fun to play with that's about it for me
Don't get a lot of Nitecore lights in recently for some reason. This had a lot of potential if they took onboard some of those points, doubt it will be updated firmware
@@MrBazReviews thanks for being honest and not a sell out.
@@smokefentanyl Only way to be, downside is most makers won't send product oh well, I give Nitecore credit, they continue to send review items
This is a nifty light. I'm not at all fond of the bold, advertising-like text on it's body.
It could be a bit more subtle fair point
Who want a flashlight for 7 secs????? -_-
Hence the suggestion to have an option for a lower output Turbo mode
The turbo run time is a joke. I want to see at least 2 minute run time before thermal protection kicks in.
minicoopertn i mean, it’s not that scientifically possible, for such power and extraordinary cooling system packed into such a small device, at least not yet, i mean, it’s a flood light, and it can run at 2000 lumens(Max) continuously for prolonged period of time, the 10k lumens function is probably just for immediate/emergency self defence or CQC, i mean, how often r u gonna use 10k/turbo anyway, the run time isn’t a joke, the technology put into this torch is actually extremely ahead of current flashlight industries, being able to make one single 21600 Li-ion battery output so much power, even for 7 seconds its already amazing.
Turbo is very short!
Em này bao nhiêu xèng thớt ơi
I think so!
Irreplaceble battery!?! What a POS!
Yes annoying
over $300.00 for a flashlight. don't need that bad when i can use a flashlight that has a phone.
Hardly the same thing is it? Yes this is expensive but not all are
They all chasing the Lumen's
They still are!
WOW... RIDICULOUS TURBO OUTPUT TIME..USELESS FLASHLIGHT ON ''HIGH'' MODE AS WELL, WHICH IS PRETTY LOW LUMENS ON IT.
I suppose it helps sell them
Damn, if I didn't need to fix my truck!🙄
It's pricey for a light, fun but I'm not sure I'd buy it if I am honest
The batteries need to be replaceable, recharging the light takes too long.
Agree it would be much more sensible to have a removable battery
Wth man, they good have made it magnetic
Would need a fairly meaty magnet to hold it but not impossible
Mr Baz Reviews that magnet would probably disturb the circuits inside the torch pretty badly
I was all into it, then I split screen Amazon. prime... this thing is 300.00.. I only pay that much for streamlight flashlights or olight but not this brand .
Why? If it's a quality flashlight that has the features that you want, why does the brand matter?
I have had about 6 Nightcores, two died, the one (EC25) died due to a 10 foot drop onto cement (one of many) and lasted 4 years, the Concept 1 failed due to a crappy button, but even then, it was 2 years old and survived many brutal drops.
I have seen plenty of stream lights fail, but the upside is the tool truck will exchange them, but you are paying for an outdated, dim light with a proprietary battery and charger.
Olight? lol
Non replaceable battery = No thank you.
Showstopper for many I think
streamlight has lifetime warranty .
So I hear wish I had the chance to try them
Lots of light but the light range is so so. Plus it's too much money.
I don't disagree for me the problem is the battery I'd like easy access to that
that´s not 10.ooo lumens
It is near to that no question at all, you're wrong
hey its me :D:D:D
Hey it's me in a time machine!
$300 for a flashlight.....cheap at twice the price.
Not everyone will like it takes getting used to sometimes Nitecore's UI isn't the best
300 bucks on Ebay wow
Cheap at twice the price! lol
It's a showcase product some good ideas not really something I'd buy

oh wrong nightcore
wow
bro I bought it lol $220
It's a fun light not for everyone but one step down from turbo (set it higher than the default) plenty of light and it holds the level well
flashlight cost as much as Phone? Get out of here.
Cheap at twice the price some say ! lol
Looks heavy.
It's not super lightweight, due to the battery weight.
*umm how can an 18650 be 4800mAh, I smell bullshit*
Because it's not an 18650 it's a 21700 cell which was already tested and the capacity confirmed. This is a real review channel, not one of those prepping marketing ones ;-)
ohhh my mistake then, still odd they went for such a high discharge battery, those LED's would never such insane discharge, only vapers would use a cell like that, another application is motherboard UPS, even cars which use hundreds dont require more than 1amp
Turbo mode just 7 seconds..useless.
I wouldn't find it that useful myself. I think Nitecore should have gone with a normal battery you can remove, and a lower turbo which you could use for longer
Это не фонарик, а фонарь придорожный, луча нету
I'm not sure what you are saying
Tiny monster. The price is not tiny. $300 for a flashlight? Only an idiot would buy that. Thanks, but no way in hell... I choose life.
Lol
7 seconds of 10k lumens useless
Like I said the fun doesn't last long

So is subscribing to an ASMR channel ;-D
I speak how I speak, I don't tell Americans how to talk - I find that quite easy to grasp
It's one of the UGLIEST Flashlights I've ever seen. That shape is NOT pleasant.
Lol
Too bad there is no 1000 lumen mode. It just skips up to 2000. And why 10,000 lumen? Make it a practical 3,000 that at least stays on for a couple of minutes. You can buy replaceable 21700 Li/ion batteries so why not just make them replaceable? What a shame .
That is not correct 6:09 high level can be set from 400-2000lm
they want 300$ for this tiny crap with those ugly buttons?
It's not cheap some like splashing on oddball stuff!
Worthless light
Harsh but it has elements of truth to it ;-D
What a disqusting design.
