Monster Hunter Frontier monsters have a chance at coming back as we’ve seen with Espinas but monster hunter online monsters are never coming back because Capcom worked with another company and technically the other company own the designs of all the monsters.
Pukei pukei is my absolute favorite monster of all time, he is the monster I would pick if ANY could be real. That said, it kinda seems like Wilds is too hostile for Pukei Pukei to survive in. It is definitely not a pack monster so there is no way to rationalize it using pack dynamics to heighten its survival. I just feel like Rey Daou and would hunt Pukei to extinction, and overall the biomes of Wilds thus far seem too much for my favorite to make a return.
I liked Pukei Pukei, he was always a fun little fight. I really like his design, a very unique looking monster. He does have a hit me face lol, and I am more than happy to comply! The sub species was really neat, the colors were awesome! All of the little visual details they added to his design were impressive. What I’d like to see is some kind of Apex revision for fun, have this version leveled up to the max and just nasty lol.

I think Capcom should normalize bringing back subspecies without their base forms, like Coral. Don't get me wrong, I love both of the Pukeis to death, but I don't think we really need both of them in the same game again, and since normal Pukei had his turn in Rise, Coral should get his turn in Wilds, as long as there's an environment that works for him. Also, if they bring back Coral, I REALLY hope they keep his passive behavior. Unlike regular Pukei, if you didn't attack him, he wouldn't attack you either, so you could hang out together! You could do that with Tobi too in World, but Rise took that away, which I'm salty about lol.
I hope Tobi never returns, boring ass monster imo. Also, I get what you are saying but I think it would be weird with having a variant but not a base version of the monster.
The "quirky bird wyvern with a big personality" niche has become quite competitive with all the options now. I think they've probably planned a new one for gen 6, but if they do choose to bring back and oldie for that role, I also hope it will be Qurupeco instead. (Sorry to Pukei, I mean no disrespect
I was fine with him in rise, just a funny little guy a fun hunt and all, and before sunbreak and master rank my opinion was "maybe, like theres already hints of hin in gear, but theres a toxic creature not full revealed yet" and thats it, but in master rank this bird fall from my glace so much that i actually i want him taking a break xd, is just the attack that run around throwing poison and then hit you with solething you cant see because that poison throws in particular created toxic pilars that make it hard to see, and master rank pukei SPAM that sh*t xd, also i hope the new toxic monsters to be a fun early monster so pukei and great wroggi can have a break, truth is that poison is a element that always will be in the games because of rathian the permareturning with her bf, so poison is a element that dont need that many monsters each game becuase 1 slot is permanent, capcom know that and theres not that many poison monster each Game, and also limit the fire element some times or make fire looking actual nitro monsters
I think Pukei Pukei would be interesting to see in Wilds cuz both Pukei and Congalala are avid mushroom enjoyers, so seeing their rivalry over the mushrooms of the scarlet forest would be interesting Also, it's armor is one of my favourites so it better be in
I mean... Yes? He's a easier Rathian by all means. He's an intro monster so he's easy to fight. The one I would LOVE to see back is Najarala, Seregious in full HD glory, Namielle, Safi'jiiva (but not as an event and as a "normal" monster on the world), Brachydios (I don't care, his fights are always explosive!), Malfestio and so many more... But I feel like even though we LOVE old monsters, maybe they can give us more newer monsters to fight and then put olders monsters as DLC quests. Or just put a shit load of monsters in wilds (and this would be the dream but not likely).
I'm not a big fan of many of world's newcomers, though Pukei is one of the better ones so it'd be okay to have in. Since he already returned in rise though, I'd personally prefer Gypceros or a new monster to fill his role and to get other world monsters instead. I felt they skipped over most of the world monsters I liked in rise, like Odogaron and Radobaan, so I'd be just fine with sacrificing Pukei's spot to get a few of those guys in wilds. Those two in particular are a bit tough to bring because of their unique habitat, but that's an entirely separate topic lol
Although Pukei-Pukei is a fan favorite amongst the community, I think he'll be taking a break from the series. It would be nice to see him in the 6th gen, but I just don't see how he'll be able to fit in properly given the star system on Doshaguma.
Wait? Why do you think he is a 2 star monster? Doshaguma i mean. In the demo gameplay we have seen his "difficultly" has actually been depicted as difficult lvl pf stars. Along with chacacobra.
I dont like gypceros but he got me the first time i tried to hunt him with the fakeout and it makes him quite memorable i think newer players should experience this again instead of puke monster
I hear what you are saying but I feel like the fakeout thing will get old super fast and would need to be redesigned from the ground up. It's obvious when its a fake out. There is no "Gypceros Slayed!" pop out or sound on the screen. They would need to fake the entire thing in Wilds as if you did finish the quest to make it somewhat worthwhile.
I think he needs to come back again because his opportunity to truly shine was wasted in Rise due to wyvern riding and wirebugs. He would be way fit for Wilds for his full potential!.

I'd be happy to see puki puki back, I see now reason why we can't have a wee collection of bird wyverns in the same game and puki would be a nice addition, he still comes second to qurupeco and the 1st gen bird wyverns tho but I would not be upset by his inclusion
The female pukei pukei armor is really cute, but the monster itself is kinda boring. I hope Gypceros returns representing the poison spitting bird wyvern. The elastic tail, the flash bomb gimmick (disabling by breaking head) and the most funny part - the fake death.
@@RathalosWatchI see it now. Wilds have an interesting change starting and finishing quest and fluently goes back to the map. If only wilds can have another “fake death” gimmick, seeing players tiptoe around the “corpse” will be hella funny.

Either Qurupeco or Yian-Kut-Ku, i find Qurupeco more unique but as a first gen player my nostalgia for Kut-Ku makes me want him back more

Decent list you got there, so far they have shown only new monsters, so its exciting too see which ones are returning.

Gobul I found to be extremely annoying to fight. Sure on land it wasn't much but in water that thing was nothing to joke about.

I dunno. From Hammer overview video, seems like we're getting a new poison birdie. So Pukei might not be returning.
