it seems simple until you sit down with your computer and try to do it. Yet this video has help me so much. Because of this tutorial I was able to draw my first character in ADOBE Animate.
okay, i for the LIFE of me cannot figure out the neck part. like, when i go to do the shading and use the selection tool to curve it a tiny bit, it wont go behind the head like yours does immediately. even when i click arrange, and try sending the neck backwards/setting the head up front, it doesnt work. nothing im doing is working. wish you wouldve explained this part better, seems like you were in a rush at that point and now i am completely lost. :/
Hi Alyssa, thanks for reaching out. Would you mind connecting with our support team directly using this link: adobe.ly/46OH0ul or posting on the Animate community: adobe.ly/3QbwpDZ, where our experts and product team can help you directly? Thanks! ^HV
It doesn't have to be but with video there's always the option to pause and rewind. You can also click the gear icon in lower right and select a slower speed of playback. As tutorial authors, it's difficult to know just how slow to go since everyone learns at different rates of speed. Hope this helps.
@@keyframer. Sure, I get that. I create tutorial videos for my classes at a local college. The assumption should be that tutorials are for beginners. Advanced users can speed it up, but beginners would be frustrated or overwhelmed by lessons that go too fast. Having to pause and rewind constantly makes it more difficult for first time users to follow along.
@@michaelmyers9306 thanks for the feedback. I totally hear you. In fact, I posted a brand new tutorial video yesterday that's almost 50min long that shows how to animate a logo. I'll keep in mind your advice for the next videos as well.
@@keyframer. That's great! I'm always looking for supplement videos to help the students in our Adobe Animate classes. I'll check that out as well. Thanks for what you do.
thats not drawing, thats more like manipulatimg shapes. can we actually see a drawing tutorial in animate cc and WITHOUT STROKES PLZ, everytime i use pen tool, its creating stroke
First you have to select the object then go to "modify" on the top left and click "convert to symbol" then once you have, it will work. Hope this helped.
Very clever way to show basic primitive use, had no idea it could be so easy n fast.
We appreciate that @Jim Bertram! ❤️
Thanks Adobe for all these amazing courses and products
5:33 i did follow every thing but sending the hair to the back didnt work for me. did i missed something?
What I did was create a new layer and bring that layer beneath the original one
Is the corner radius SLIDER longer a thing? It seems like I have to add the value in before I create the rectangle???
You can edit the corner radius after drawing the shape

Wicked Awesome Chris Georgenes!
Adobe Animate is Awesome Software! Thumbs UP
Great tutorial, but I don't have a slider for rectangle primitive, only a numbers option for the corners, any way to add the slider as well?
The slider would be nice to bring back actually - I'll mention it
im not seeing the corner adjustments on mines
wow it's so intuitive, love it
Love from Pakistan... ♥️
I like this, but why does it have to be so fast?

My screen doesn't look that much like yours unfortunately. It's laid out very differently.
Which meant I couldn't follow this.
Actually I might've found some of this stuff now, but it took some searching, haha.
Thank you!
