- There's no denying it. I love riding hardtail mountain bikes. It's where my riding career began, and where my love the sport remains, and I honestly can't recommend riding this style of mountain bike more. I did some upgrades to the dream build by heading to Brink Bike Shop, upgraded the bike and then headed to ride some loamy enduro trails that are the best fun! We found some challenges and then switched to dirt jump bikes, as it's time to train some big tricks for contests. So this video has it all, upgrading, riding, downhill and skatepark. But the one consistent theme..... HARDTAILS!!

think i enjoyed mother nature abit too much today, i was at a pump and jump track and i fell off did a front flip through the air and now im not sure if ive broke my wrist😂
I'd still say hardtail is still the best mtb. Life has no meaning without a hardtail.
I drive all over the country and push my 2011 downhill bike to the highest pick of the mountains. People see it and are amazed of how I was able to bring my heavy downhill all the way up but when I go down it's a dream. I don't care like you said it's about going out on an adventure and enjoy the day.
I have a feeling Blake from GMBN and Matt would be good friends.

Killing the content Matt. I’ve spent the last 2 days fixing up a berm, roll-in to a tabletop that goes into a small step down. It is only 2 kilometres from my house! After having brain cancer in 2016 it’s nice to feel progression on a bike again. Bmx isn’t as enjoyable for me anymore as I have lost 90% of tricks, but pushing on a MTB is a whole new type of riding. If you didn’t make hardtails look so fun I don’t think I would have invested in one! So thanks mate 🤙🏼

Hardtails are the best bike ever they can do anything and you really feel connected to the trail and the terrain when you are riding one and they are so simple to use and maintain put so complex at the core which makes them so lovable and amazing and they can just adapt to any style of riding whether it be enduro trials dirt jumps/slope style and even downhill or even road cycling I just love them and they are just (to me)the heart and soul of mountain biking

I am a recovering heroin addict, clean over 3 months.. i used to ride bmx ALOT & HARD when i was a teenager, I haven't got had any motivation to do anything but watching your videos has made me choose to go hardtail and start riding trails again. Thanks man would you recommend me a bike for 600-1000 or shall i buy a second hand custom??

Thanks to you I purchased a San Quentin 1, I only had a $1,000 to purchase a mountain bike when I saw your vid on the San Quentin 3 but I had to settle for the 1. The bike rocks, I was able to get the bike for $788 trough GovVelo.com who sell Marin bikes at reduced rates to Military (Vets) and First responders. I also scored a Suntour Raidion air fork at a bargain for an upgrade from the existing XCM coil fork, total for bike and fork delivered $896.24. Now all I need is some better brakes and dropper post, thanks again for heads-up on these great frames.
Matt - Did you find that the Cushcore on the read tire/tyre, with reduced air pressure, really made a significant difference in the grip and groundedness of the bike? This makes sense but I wanted to know how it worked out in practice. Thanks.

I know everything on that bike is basically from the top of the shelf, but hope makes more than brakes and sell most of it in purple. And I think that purple would match really well with the galaxy paintjob.
