Pro tip for your hand held temp gun: When I service equipment and especially in extreme summer temps, I like to verify temps on engines at run temp near thermal sensors and input and output necks on radiators. Quick easy way to verify sensors, especially with iddiot gauges or lights, and verify water pump and radiator function. Good day, enjoy your content! 👋🤠

I watched you Mike, getting on and off the Vermeer Mini Beast a few times, and it is nice to be standing on the back, for easy on and easy off. In a bob cat or the like, its a chore on and off on and off, could wear out a good set of legs. Just another great reason for the Stand On mini beast:) All the haters will have to bow their heads in shame, [When they said why would you buy that, you did not need that machine, do see any reason to buy it, that's nonsense :) i told them to wait, Mike has put the pencil to it, and the Math, and the research and he knows it will be good for him. Pretty cool seeing the Vernig stuff in your neck of the woods, it’s manufactured about 8 miles from where I live.
Hello Michael, I’m a former electrical planning engineer who has a pretty good understanding of the grid. I’m pretty sure you are served by an investor-owned utility. I’ll try to answer your questions on those poles: utilities replace pole every day or so, as they own the power poles (please, these are NOT “Telephone poles”!!! The utility could leave that pole for years until the cable TV and phone lines move their equipment. Have a good day M&M!!!

Looks like eventually you might need a lane shark or something similar to tackle the over growing branches on that drive. I really see the appeal of that mini skid. I would be pretty handy for stuff around the house not having to climb in and out of a traditional skid steer or tractor.

Hey Mike, check to ur start switch for engaging mower see if you toggle down, blades go 1 way, toggle up blades rotate other way. That's way on my John Deere 331g and large brush cutterr. Helps when not wanting to throw debris out in driveway or on road. Tom G. Ohio.
I love the mini skid setup. Just a tip, go the opposite way so all the grass is shooting into the brush not driveway

G'day Mike, I know this bloke who was using an excavator to push up a fire and he blew a high pressure hydraulic hose and the machine went up in flames. The insurance company didn't pay him out they said he was at fault, but there's no where near the heat in your fires plus your machines are all new 👍.
Love your channel I have been watching for years. Sometimes you show different angles of the same work being done on your camera. it would’ve been helpful and nice to have a camera on a tripod on the road say 50 yards away while you’re using the Vermeer with the brush cutter that would give us more of how the machine works and how it chops up and you drive it. Just an idea. Don from Texas.
Mike, Seeing you chew through that brush on the driveway reminds me of a few years ago when you rented that skidsteer with the larger brush cutter. You were like a kid in a candy store then and now you have your own candy store. It makes quick work of the brush. The best part is you are always looking forward at what you are cutting. Also a great day for a fire! Both in the woods and cooking steaks! Enjoy!

Mike, you should explore a conversion plate so you can run that virnig on both your mini skiddy and your excavator. You'll be blown away by the versatility.

Afternoon all! In western Ozarks for a couple of days before embarking on western sojourn. Lots of things to do before I get to the list I had when I got here yesterday. Not one, not two, but THREE flat front tractor tires. For a guy with only one tractor, that’s saying something. 🥴 We learned we had an industrious mouse, and we’ve addressed that with future chronic illness (hopefully) and blunt force trauma (hopefullier) methods. Still cool here (58F/15C) this morning and probably mid 80’s/lower 30’sC today, but trending upward.

Mini skid works well on Mom and sis's drive. That would have been kind of pain with a tractor and 3 pt rotary cutter based on terrain. Nice steak dinner. Put my corndogs and cold slaw to shame. Thanks for the video.

Try the harley rake on the gravel driveway, when I owned one for my three point I quit using my box scraper as it did such a better job and they were made for removing rock and debris.
At the 7:00 mark, the pole was being replaced to get it out of the ditch, which probably caused it to rot, AND to prevent it getting washed out.
They moved it in a way to keep the proper angle for the guy cable, and keep the anchor out of the ditch.
This is what I did for a living.
It looks like the old pole hasn’t been removed yet because telephone is still attached, and is not the electric companies job to relocate to the new pole.

Mike on tractor time with Tim they make a flair mower that goes on the end of the excavator that can help you cut back the brush on the driveway.. Steve from WV
A flail mower on a mini-ex would be handy to trim around a pond edge to keep it looking good. I don't know if mine would have enough hydraulic flow to make one work right though.
Nephew got a 36 inch bush hog head for his excavator to clean up around our family pond. Amazed at how well it works and how quick you can clean up an area..

Mike I have that same infrared thermometer I use it for everything all of my mechanical stuff on a lot of European transmissions when you build them and you fill them with fluid when they're back in the car it has to be less than 130° to to fill it and to check it and comes in very handy I use it for my wood stove just to see how hot it is and my chimney but it works really good for was a 15 bucks I used to have a high dollar snap-on when I was before I retired and I sold a lot of them that those specialty tools I didn't need and I think I must have let that go and not known it but they're so handy
